INTRODUCTION: Gestational diabetes is characterized as a multifactorial etiology and difficult to control, which makes a broad approach necessary, in which the success of treatment is directly linked to nursing actions developed for this population, especially in prenatal care. The nurse, as an educator, must guide the pregnant woman regarding the disease, its symptoms and drug therapy, providing guidance on healthy habits, such as nutrition and physical exercise, clarifying doubts during the course of pregnancy and encouraging self-care. OBJECTIVE: To investigate nursing care for women with gestational diabetes in the literature. METHODOLOGY: qualitative research of an exploratory nature, of the integrative review type. The article searches were carried out based on the selection of descriptors registered in DECS (Health Sciences Descriptors): Nursing Care, Gestational Diabetes, High-Risk Pregnancy. Searches for articles were carried out in the virtual health library (VHL), with the help of the Boolean operator “AND”. The online databases used were: LILACS, BDENF - nursing. For the inclusion criteria, the following were used: complete articles available in full, indexed in databases, in Portuguese, with a time frame of the last 10 years (2014 to 2024). Exclusion criteria include: theses, dissertations, reports, abstracts, monographs. RESULTS AND DISCUSSION: According to the eligibility criteria, 18 articles were found in LILACS, BDENF - nursing among the studies searched, 4 of them were selected based on the chosen topic. During the process of reviewing each study, checking the inclusion and exclusion criteria, reading the titles, reading the abstracts, reading the total articles, only 6 studies were selected in this review. CONCLUSION: Therefore, it can be concluded that nurses have an important responsibility during the prenatal care process, with regard to early diagnosis and adequate treatment of gestational diabetes mellitus.

The article is devoted to the study of the psychological characteristics of self-regulation mechanisms in students in stressful situations. In the article, the theoretical analysis and generalization of works related to the problem, a set of psychodiagnostic methods were used. The research base was the requirements of Odlar Yurdu University and various faculties of Baku State University. 135 second and third year students aged 18-23 participated in the study. A systematic approach was applied to the description and study of the research object for the reliability and validity of the research results. Mathematical methods were used for empirical data processing. Thus, according to the results of the correlation analysis, a relationship between stress resistance and self-regulation was found among the respondents. We see a negative relationship (r≤0.01) between stress resistance and self-regulation and one of its styles. This shows that there is a correlation between stress resistance, self-esteem and emotional stability and self-regulation. As self-regulation increases, the impact of stressful situations decreases. We believe that the present analysis can contribute to a better understanding of the mechanisms underlying successful and unsuccessful stress regulation. It should be taken into account that this will help prevent mental disorders and improve treatment.

The article is devoted to the study of the relationship between narcissism personality type and self-regulation. 150 students participated in our research. The main part of the selection is students studying at a higher education institution. The study showed that when evaluating the differences between groups with different severity of the indicator of self-regulation and self-attitude, significant differences were obtained only on two scales: lack of empathy and envy of the achievements of others. A lack of empathy and envy of others’ achievements appeared to be more common among respondents with low self-esteem, i.e., those with predominantly negative self-images. The effects of personality type and narcissistic personality traits on self-attitude factors are negative, except for grandiose self-worth and belief in one’s own uniqueness. It was found that there is a contradiction in the structure of self-attitude of a narcissistic personality: a positive self-attitude maintains an acceptable level due to greatness and belief in one’s own uniqueness and specialness, but precisely these characteristics emerge. being the basis for envy and manipulation in interpersonal relationships. Realizing that such strategies are unacceptable leads to shame and experiencing one’s own flaws. In response, the personality either focuses on the painful side of such experiences, which increases feelings of envy, leading to narcissistic outbursts of anger and submissive behavior, or strives for self-affirmation and social achievement, which helps maintain a sense of superiority.

The article is devoted to internal psychological factors and directions of its research. In this article, internal psychological factors are clarified, directions of problem research are investigated, including mechanisms of influence of internal psychological factors on success motivation. the internal psychological factors that determine the success motivation of students are investigated. Here, the influence levels of internal factors on success motivation are studied, including the mechanisms of success psychology and the factors that play a fundamental role in personality success. The research showed that students at medium and high levels tend to succeed and prefer medium risk levels. Those who are afraid of failure either prefer small or, on the contrary, a very high level of risk. It was determined that the higher the student’s motivation to succeed, the stronger the desire to achieve the goal and take risks. At the same time, hope for success is more important than weak motivation to succeed. It has been found that people who are motivated and have high hopes for success tend to avoid high risks.

To evaluate through a systematic review the effectiveness of ozone therapy for the treatment of pain in the lower limbs. Methods: To achieve this objective, the methodology adopted involved a systematic search in the ScienceDirect, PubMed and SciELO databases, using a structured combination of specific keywords. Literature review studies and clinical studies relevant to the theme were included. The inclusion criteria involved the selection of studies in English, Portuguese and Spanish that addressed the application of ozone therapy in the treatment of pain in the lower limbs. We excluded articles that had no direct relationship with the theme, as well as case reports, case series, coursework, theses and dissertations. Conclusion: Chronic pain in the lower limbs is a prevalent condition, often caused by traumatic injuries, degenerative joint diseases, peripheral neuropathies and/or circulatory disorders. In addition to the physical impact, this condition limits mobility and significantly affects people’s quality of life. Conventional treatments, although widely used, often have limited efficacy and potential adverse side effects, driving the search for more effective and safe therapeutic alternatives. Utilizing the oxidative potential of ozone, this therapy is administered in various forms, including topical, subcutaneous, venous and rectal applications.

Health Literacy (HL) is associated with the acquisition of knowledge, motivation and skills to access, understand, evaluate and apply health information to make choices and decisions about daily health care, disease prevention and health promotion to maintain or improve quality of life. From this perspective, Nutritional Literacy (NL) and Food Literacy (FL) emerge. The objective of this study is to analyze the scientific production through a scientometric study on Health Literacy in Nutrition and the production of Health Communication in this field; and to describe the production on Health Literacy in Nutrition and the Production of Health Communication. This study is of the qualitative and quantitative type developed through a Literature Review and Scientometric study in which articles on the theme of Health Literacy and Health Communication were researched from January 2012 to December 2022 in Clarivate’s Web of Science (WoS). We found 367 references that dealt with Health Literacy and Health Communication, and out of a total of 22 articles, 10 that dealt specifically with the approach to Nutrition and Food were selected. Therefore, the insertion of LN and LA can constitute strategies with potential for effectiveness in health promotion and prevention, when linked to health communication processes. It is necessary to plan new studies in the Brazilian population to analyze the benefits to public health.

The article examines age crises that manifest themselves in children’s mental development. The study showed that one of the criteria for the successful course of the crisis and cognitive development, in general, is the ratio of negative and constructive symptoms. Correlation analysis also revealed some relationships between the psychological characteristics of the crisis and indicators of readiness to learn. The research showed that the obtained data are not unambiguous. Greater expression of adult behaviour corresponds to higher levels of visual linear thinking (p < 0.01) and visual-motor coordination, the ability to move correctly (p < 0.05). Argument is also positively related to imaginative thinking (p < 0.05). The higher the child’s cognitive motivation and ability to concentrate, the more general questions and new topics he has in communication (p <0.05). These contradictions show that constructive, neutral symptoms and an active form of negativism (argument) with a high level of motivation and intellectual preparation serve the normal course of the crisis. Passive forms of negativist behavioural reactions, on the contrary, are more common in children with a low level of speech development.

The field research focused on teenage pregnancy had the general objective of sensitizing and educating the school community about the challenges associated with early pregnancy, promoting prevention, quality of life formation, and appropriate support. To achieve these objectives, the research utilized an exploratory and descriptive methodology, employing both qualitative and quantitative approaches to gain a comprehensive understanding of the topic. During the research, questionnaires and interviews were conducted to collect data on students’ knowledge about contraceptive methods, the consequences of teenage pregnancy, and the importance of family planning. Additionally, discussion groups were held to promote open dialogue about sexuality, prevention, and support for pregnant teenagers. The findings indicated significant gaps in understanding of contraceptive methods, family planning, and the implications of teenage pregnancy among the participants. Consequently, most participants expressed a need for more information and educational resources on the subject. The educational and awareness activities were well-received, and participants reported an improved understanding of the issues addressed. The research also highlighted the importance of adequate support for pregnant teenagers, emphasizing the need for emotional and social support in schools. Thus, the field research not only contributed to raising awareness about teenage pregnancy but also provided practical directions for future interventions, focusing on preventive education and support for pregnant teenagers within the school environment.

The article focuses on the investigation of chronic pain as a contributing factor to the development of depression in individuals experiencing chronic pain. The study discusses chronic pain and depression, exploring the connection between the two. Chronic pain is defined as pain that persists for more than 3 months and consistently manifests. Depression, on the other hand, is characterized by depressive symptoms lasting for a minimum of 2 weeks. To identify the link between chronic pain and depression, individuals with chronic pain were included in the study and the role of chronic pain in contributing to depression was examined. The results indicated that for the majority of patients with chronic pain, this pain plays a significant role in the onset of depression. Tests conducted on patients with chronic pain revealed moderate to high levels of depression. The findings demonstrate that chronic pain indeed plays a substantial role in the development of depression.

Introduction: In Brazil, oral cancer disease is considered a malignant neoplasm of the lip, tongue, gums, floor of the mouth, hard palate and other parts of the mouth. It represents a serious public health problem due to the high rates of late diagnoses and, consequently, the significant rates of morbidity and mortality. General objective: This is a research developed through an opinion article focusing on the dental surgeon’s approach to diagnosis in Primary Health Care (PHC). Methods: This is an opinion article survey, developed from February to June 2024, through the reflection of the texts published in the area as well as through the guidelines of the dental surgeon in PHC. Results: In the end, it can be seen that associated factors evidence this difficulty, such as the lack of materials for biopsy performance. Another important point is the non-implementation of family health strategies as an approach to the prevention of oral cancer. Final considerations: It can be stated that the training of professionals is an important factor for early diagnosis, as well as the expansion of resources.
