Objective: To estimate the prevalence of depressive symptoms, anxiety and suicidal ideation and associated factors among higher education students. Methods: an integrative literature review was conducted. Articles retrieved from the secondary databases Virtual Health Library (VHL), Latin American and Caribbean Health Sciences Literature (LILACS), the Scientific Electronic Library Online (Scielo), the Online System for Search and Analysis of Medical Literature (MEDLINE), the National Library of Medicine (Pubmed) and the Scopus database were analyzed using the following descriptors: depression, anxiety, suicidal ideation, and students. Studies published in Portuguese, English, Spanish and that dealt directly with the subject of study were considered. Results: previous health conditions, sociodemographic and social variables, family and interpersonal relationships, and specific aspects of the undergraduate course and the institution related the prevalence of depressive symptoms, anxiety, and suicidal ideation. Conclusion: a significant prevalence of depressive symptoms, anxiety and suicidal ideation was identified, the variables associated with the outcomes analyzed are heterogeneous and identifies the need for a systematic and multifactorial action to reduce cases and satisfactorily meet demands.

The objective of this research is to understand nurses’ perception of care for patients with psychological distress in the Family Health Strategy (ESF). This is a qualitative and descriptive study. The study population was made up of seven nurses, working for more than six months at the ESF in Montes Claros - MG. The number of participants was defined by theoretical saturation. For data collection, a semi-structured interview was carried out. For data analysis, content analysis with thematic categorization was adopted. The research results showed that mental health care is provided casually by professionals in primary care. The difficulty of planning and executing actions involving new care practices and the multidisciplinary team was verified, and the obstacle is the lack of coordination with the network. The lack of training of professionals who deal with these patients was noted. It was observed that the nurse attributes an important role to the family in the patient’s adherence to therapeutic workshops. It is hoped that this study can contribute to increasing the quality of care for these patients and the need for scientific data, development of programs and other investigations related to this topic.

Introduction First isolated by Karl Meyer and John Palmer in 1934, but described only in 1970 by Laurent, Hyaluronic acid has become a source of several researches in biochemistry as a potential molecule for dermal restructuring and filling in the specialty of Orofacial Harmonization, and like any other substance injected into the human body, is capable of causing, although infrequent, the so-called adverse events. Objective The objective of this narrative review is to report the main adverse effects associated with the use of Hyaluronic acid, as well as its prevention and treatment. Methodology A bibliographic survey was carried out in the Scielo, PubMed and LILACS databases with the following terms: “Hyaluronic acid” and “adverse events”, and by crossing the Boolean descriptors and , the relationship between expressions. Results There was little reference in the literature regarding the frequency of adverse events associated with the use of Hyaluronic acid, but despite being little present, the professional’s knowledge, about how they occur, how to prevent and treat them, is necessary for the clinical practice of the dental surgeon specialized in Orofacial Harmonization.

The tear drip, medial portion of the lower part of the orbital cavity, presents a deformity of multifactorial origin, not only affecting patients in the facial aging process. One treatment possibility is to use fillers with specific flexibility characteristics for this region. When applying this technique, we deposit microdots in the subcutaneous tissue throughout the peri-orbicularis oculi region from the medial canthal ligament to the lateral canthal ligament. Approximately 0.4 ml was used on each side (right and left) distributed in application micropoints using the smart click syringe system throughout the lower eyelid in superficial and deeper points of the same subcutaneous layer so as not to concentrate the product under the skin. We chose not to perform overcorrection, since the product used by your Swelling Factor could, over the days, after absorbing water, form pockets in the treated region. The present descriptive observational study aimed to highlight the results of subcutaneous filling with Vital Light Skinboosters in the treatment of tear leakage.

The present descriptive observational study aimed to evaluate the clinical improvement, satisfaction and postoperative symptoms of a patient who underwent non-surgical plasma jet blepharoplasty. A patient underwent a plasma jet session in the upper and lower passages, photographic images were recorded at T0 (pre-procedure), T1 (immediate post-procedure) and T2 (up to 8 weeks post-procedure) to monitor clinical improvement. Postoperative symptoms and patient satisfaction were recorded through clinical monitoring in the first 7 days and questioning about satisfaction at 30, 60 and 90 days. A significant clinical improvement was observed, however the patient’s overall satisfaction can be affected by the relative delay in the formation of collagen fibers and the clear result appears only after a certain time, leaving the patient less willing to undergo the procedure again. Symptoms were mainly reported in the first week. The technique has shown promise as it is minimally invasive, low-cost with quick recovery and can be an alternative to the traditional surgical procedure, but more prospective clinical studies are needed to determine its efficacy and safety.

Introduction: Spinal pain affects approximately 80% of the population at some point of their lives. It’s the second biggest cause of absenteeism in professional or academic environments, directly impinging upon reduced productivity, psychological states and quality of life. Allopathy is the most widely used treatment, however its adverse effects are recurrent. Medicinal Biomagnetism (MB) is a therapy that uses static magnetic fields (SMF) provided from magnets, which have minimal side effects, assisting in the restoration of health, yielding an analgesic effect. Goal: Evaluate the effect of SMF usage by means of the Spine Protocol (SP) from MB applied onto pain deriving from musculoskeletal disorders of the vertebral column. Methodology: Longitudinal study with clinical trials of 15 participants assessed using the Visual Analogue Scale (VAS) and Brief Pain Inventory, followed up after treatment for 30 days. Result: A reduction in pain perception was observed in 91% of the sample, representing 21 treatments of spinal segments, from just 15 minutes of exposure to the SP procedure, with a significative difference for the VAS variables (p=0.0000014). Most participants were female and the most common pain was located around the lumbar segment region. Conclusion: The SP procedure has therapeutic potential in both short and long term for the treatment of acute and chronic pain of any intensity, and it can be considered as a primary or supporting intervention in musculoskeletal disorders of the spine. It has demonstrated a shorter initial time and a longer duration for its analgesic effect when compared with the drug action reported in the literature.
