Effect of W-OH Material on Water/Fertilizer Retention and Plant Growth in the Pisha Sandstone Area of China W-OH 材料对中国皮沙砂岩地区水肥保持和植物生长的影响

The Pisha sandstone area in the Yellow River Basin is one of the regions with the most severe soil erosion in China and globally, and its erosion is particularly challenging to control. W-OH, a hydrophilic polyurethane material, possesses controllable degradation properties. It can react with water to achieve soil stabilization and erosion resistance during the curing process. The material has been successfully utilized in erosion control in Pisha sandstone areas. This study aims to investigate the impact of W-OH material on water/fertilizer retention and plant growth through experiments on soil hardness, permeability, soil evaporation, soil column leaching, pot tests, and a small-scale demonstration in practical engineering applications. The results indicate that different concentrations of W-OH solution can effectively permeate Pisha sandstone, solidifying the particles to create a flexible and porous consolidation layer on the surface with a specific depth. As the W-OH concentration (3%, 4%, and 5%) increases, the harnesses of the consolidation layer also increase but remain below 1.5 kPa, which does not impede plant root growth. The soil evaporation rate decreased by approximately 45.2%, 45.8%, and 50.3% compared to the control group. The reduction rates of cumulative total nitrogen (TN) content are around 43.57%, 48.14%, and 63.99%, and, for cumulative total phosphorus (TP), are approximately 27.96%, 45.70%, and 61.17% under the 3%, 4%, and 5% concentrations of W-OH solution, respectively. In the pot tests, concentrations of W-OH solution below 5% are suitable for germination and growth of monocotyledons, while the optimal concentration for dicotyledons is around 3%. In the demonstration, the vegetation coverage of the treated gully increases by approximately 11.35%. This research offers a promising and effective approach to enhance ecological restoration in Pisha sandstone areas.

Navigating Geopolitical Risks: Deciphering the Greenium and Market Dynamics of Green Bonds in China 驾驭地缘政治风险:解读中国绿色债券的 "绿色 "和市场动态

This study investigates whether green bonds have an issuance cost advantage over conventional bonds (greenium), examines the impact of geopolitical risks on their price dynamics, and explores the industry-specific effects of such risks in the financial sector. Using a dataset of 270 green bonds and 667 conventional bonds from May 2018 to August 2021, this study applies a two-step panel estimation method to analyze the influence of geopolitical risks on green bond pricing. The findings indicate that green bonds in China have an issuance cost advantage compared to traditional bonds, with a premium of 10–12 bps. Additionally, both recent and historical geopolitical risks, including GPR threats and GPR acts, significantly reduce green bond financing costs, with the China-specific geopolitical risk index having the most substantial impact, lowering costs by up to 17.4 bps. This study also highlights the financial sector, where green bonds do not display an issuance premium, and geopolitical risk has a slightly lower effect compared to the overall market. These results provide a comprehensive analysis of the impact of geopolitical risks on the pricing of Chinese green bonds, utilize strict screening criteria and the latest two-stage panel estimation method for more reliable analytical conclusions, and establish green bonds as reliable tools for sustainable investment.

Geological Study Based on Multispectral and Hyperspectral Remote Sensing: A Case Study of the Mahuaping Beryllium–Tungsten Deposit Area in Shangri-La 基于多光谱和高光谱遥感的地质研究:香格里拉麻花坪铍钨矿床区案例研究

This study applied Advanced Spaceborne Thermal Emission and Reflection Radiometer (ASTER) multispectral data and ZY1-02D hyperspectral data to map the structural distribution and hydrothermal alteration in the polymetallic ore district in southern Shangri-La City, Yunnan Province, China. The study area hosts several polymetallic deposits, including the Mahuaping tungsten–beryllium deposit, which has significant mineral exploration potential. The deposit type is mainly magmatic–hydrothermal, with average grades of 0.41% WO3 and 0.22% BeO, and substantial reserves, prominently controlled by faults. Based on this, this study employed ASTER data for the visual interpretation of structures through false-color composites combined with DEM data. Additionally, ASTER and ZY1-02D data were processed using the principal component analysis and spectral angle mapper methods to extract anomalies related to tungsten mineralization such as carbonate alteration, sericitization, chloritization, and hematization of the hydrothermal origin. The results indicated that the structural trends in the study area predominantly align in north–south and northeast directions, with alteration anomalies concentrated in the central and fold areas. Our analysis of typical deposits revealed their close association with north–south faults and east–west joints, as well as the enrichment level of alteration anomalies, identifying five high-potential target areas for mineral exploration. Further evaluation involved field validation through the spectral scanning of samples, field verification, and a comparison with known lithology. These assessments confirmed that the spectral curves matched those in the USGS database, the structural interpretations aligned with the field observations (84% accuracy from 25 sampling points, with 21 matching extracted alteration types), and the alteration results corresponded well with the lithological units, indicating high accuracy in alteration extraction. Finally, a comparative discussion highlighted that the results derived from ZY1-02D data were more applicable to the local area. The outcomes of this study can support subsequent mineral exploration efforts, enhancing the sustainability of important mineral resources.

A Sustainable Rental Price Prediction Model Based on Multimodal Input and Deep Learning—Evidence from Airbnb 基于多模态输入和深度学习的可持续租金价格预测模型--来自 Airbnb 的证据

In the accommodation field, reasonable pricing is crucial for hosts to maximize their profits and is also an essential factor influencing tourists’ tendency to choose. The link between price prediction and findings about the causal relationships between key indicators and prices is not well discussed in the literature. This research aims to identify comprehensive pricing determinants for sharing economy-based lodging services and utilize them for lodging price prediction. Utilizing data retrieved from InsideAirbnb, we recognized 50 variables classified into five categories: property functions, host attributes, reputation, location, and indispensable miscellaneous factors. Property descriptions and a featured image posted by hosts were also added as input to indicate price-influencing antecedents. We proposed a price prediction model by incorporating a fully connected neural network, the bidirectional encoder representations from transformers (BERT), and MobileNet with these data sources. The model was validated using 8380 Airbnb listings from Amsterdam, North Holland, Netherlands. Results reveal that our model outperforms other models with simple or fewer inputs, reaching a minimum MAPE (mean absolute percentage error) of 5.5682%. The novelty of this study is the application of multimodal input and multiple neural networks in forecasting sharing economy accommodation prices to boost predictive performance. The findings provide useful guidance on price setting for hosts in the sharing economy that is compliant with rental market regulations, which is particularly important for sustainable hospitality growth.

Sustainable Inclusive Framework Studio for Inclusive Education—Perceptions of Teachers, Parents, and Students in United Arab Emirates 阿拉伯联合酋长国全纳教育可持续全纳框架工作室--教师、家长和学生的看法

Inclusive education has gained recognition worldwide, with schools and universities adopting various approaches to prioritize inclusivity. However, the challenges faced by educational institutions in this process cannot be ignored. Addressing these challenges is essential in creating a more inclusive society that values and celebrates diversity. This study aims to introduce a model called the Sustainable Inclusive Framework Studio (SIF Studio), which incorporates inclusiveness principles. This model draws from Lev Vygotsky’s social constructivism and Albert Bandura’s behavior modeling theories. SIF Studio is a framework that emphasizes inclusivity, sustainability, and innovation in education. A quantitative approach is employed to explore the perceptions of teachers, parents, and students regarding the implementation of SIF Studio. The study results revealed that there is a significant difference in the perceptions of students, teachers, and parents before and after the introduction of SIF Studio. By designing and developing SIF Studio specifically for educational institutions, this research aims to bridge the gap between inclusivity goals and practical implementation while aiming for the sustainability goals alongside this.

However, the challenges faced by educational institutions in this process cannot be ignored. Addressing these challenges is essential in creating a more inclusive society that values and celebrates diversity. This study aims to introduce a model called the Sustainable Inclusive Framework Studio (SIF Studio), which incorporates inclusiveness principles. This model draws from Lev Vygotsky’s social constructivism and Albert Bandura’s behavior modeling theories. SIF Studio is a framework that emphasizes inclusivity, sustainability, and innovation in education. A quantitative approach is employed to explore the perceptions of teachers, parents, and students regarding the implementation of SIF Studio. The study results revealed that there is a significant difference in the perceptions of students, teachers, and parents before and after the introduction of SIF Studio. Mobile apps can effectively promote healthy and sustainable eating, but their success depends on initial user engagement. This study aimed to increase initial user engagement by tailoring app descriptions to users’ regulatory focus (prevention versus promotion). Four conditions were created by combining two types of messages: regulatory concern (safety versus growth) and anticipated emotion (positive versus negative). The safety message emphasized the protection of health and the environment, while the growth message emphasized the improvement of well-being and environmental conservation. The message with the positive anticipated emotion described satisfaction with using the app, while the message with the negative anticipated emotion described dissatisfaction with not using the app. Participants’ attitudes, desires, and intentions, as well as downloads of the app were measured to assess the effectiveness of the message. Promotion-focused individuals showed greater desire and were more likely to download the app when the message matched their focus (growth + positive anticipated emotions) than when it did not (safety + negative anticipated emotions). Conversely, prevention-focused individuals did not show increased engagement with regulatory congruent messages. These results suggest that tailoring app descriptions to users’ regulatory focus may increase initial engagement among promotion-focused individuals. Further research is needed to investigate methods to increase engagement among prevention-focused individuals.

The textile industry of Pakistan, a major contributor to its economy, is encountering serious sustainability challenges, akin to many developing nations. The literature is replete with assertions on the importance of sustainability; however, cross-functional research is sporadic. This paper theoretically links Green HRM (GHRM) practices, Green SCM (GSCM) practices, and Triple Bottom Line (TBL) performance within this context. In scaffolding through Resource Orchestration (ROT) and Dynamic Capabilities (DCT) theories, a conceptual framework is proposed. We posit that GSCM transforms GHRM practices into tangible, eco-friendly supply chain activities resulting in enhanced sustainable performance, thereby playing a mediating role. Additionally, a unique interplay of Entrepreneurial Orientation (EO) as a moderator between GHRM and GSCM is introduced. Firms with higher levels of EO employ innovative approaches to implement GHRM practices into their supply chain strategies, leading to robust GSCM initiatives. The literature review indicates that research on the synergistic effects of GHRM and GSCM on TBL performance in developing nations is scarce. The study warrants carrying out empirical validation and provides a clear plan for future research. The exclusive emphasis on Pakistan’s textile industry introduces contextual intricacies, facilitating a profound comprehension for implementing sustainable practices within the constraints and opportunities of an emerging economy.

Understanding the Effects of Organizational Climate and Creative Work Involvement on Readiness for Organizational Change: A Research on Shipbuilding Industry in Turkey 了解组织氛围和创造性工作参与对做好组织变革准备的影响:土耳其造船业研究

The main objective of this article is to conduct an empirical and exploratory study on the effects of organizational climate and creative work involvement on readiness for organizational change to shed light on the readiness of the board members, professional managers, and other employees of the Turkish shipbuilding sector for the trend of organizational change, the frequency of which is increasing rapidly on both a global and national basis, in order to achieve sustainable success within the framework of sustainable development. To investigate the impact of organizational climate and creative work involvement on readiness for organizational change, Turkish shipbuilding companies and leading ship design service providers were surveyed. The results showed that organizational climate and creative work involvement positively and significantly affect readiness for organizational change, where organizational climate and creative work involvement reflected the most significant positive effects, respectively, on the management support and change efficacy subdimensions of readiness for organizational change. The contribution to the literature lies in the unique approach to this relation, which has not been explored in previous studies. This research opens up a new direction for empirical research on readiness for organizational change by combining these concepts.

The need for energy in different global industries encourages the development and application of clean energy. Tourism, being a global development sector, requires energy to maintain the comfort of tourists. The development of technology requires basic science and application studies that allow us to know the scientific evolution and trends in research, which is of great relevance in the fields of tourism and renewable energy. Within this context, the aim of the article is to analyze the evolution of research publications focused on renewable energy and tourism indexed in Scopus from 2008 to 2023 using a bibliometric approach. The search strategy identified 90 documents. Tools such as VOSviewer (version: 1.6.18) and Power BI (version: 13.0.23776.64) were used to assist in conducting the bibliometric analysis and network. The results of this work indicate that there is a growth in the authors’ interest in renewable energy and tourism, with a specific growth rate of 0.1927 years−1. “Environmental Science and Pollution Research” is the journal with the most publications, and China ranks first in publications. Authors prefer to publish in Q1 and Q2 journals to increase the reach of their publications.

Navigating Green Innovation in High-Tech Manufacturing: The Roles of Customer Concentration and Digital Transformation 引领高科技制造业的绿色创新:客户集中和数字化转型的作用

The increasingly environmental issues pose challenges to the economic development of countries, particularly hindering industrial transformation in developing nations. This study, grounded in the Resource-Based View, examines factors influencing green innovation in high-tech manufacturing firms. Market interactions and digital technologies significantly impact resource investments in green innovation. Using data from Chinese high-tech manufacturing firms from 2007 to 2021, the study reveals that customer concentration negatively affects green innovation, while digital transformation promotes it and mitigates the inhibitory effect of customer concentration. To explain this mechanism, green innovation is divided into green process innovation and green product innovation, and the effect of customer concentration is more pronounced in green product innovation. Further testing discusses the roles of the external environment, internal governance, and manager characteristics. Specifically, product market competition and political resources influence firms’ reliance on major customers, allowing digital technologies to optimize resource allocation for green innovation. In terms of internal governance, flexibility and regulatory strength alter the emphasis firms place on green innovation, with higher governance efficiency reducing dependency on major customers. Managerial characteristics, particularly managers’ rationality, determine the importance placed on digital technologies versus customer demands, leading to varied investment decisions in green innovation. Our findings provide valuable insights for optimizing resource allocation and enhancing green innovation investment, thereby effectively promoting sustainable regional economic development.
