Artiklis võetakse vaatluse alla saksakeelse tõlkekirjanduse olu­ kord Eestis aastatel 1990–2000 ning püütakse arutleda selle üle, kui palju aitavad tõlkija, tõlke kommenteerija, kirjastaja, lugeja ja tõlke arvustaja kaasa tõlketeksti spetsiifika hoidmisele. Lisaks vaadeldakse, kuidas muu­ tus saksakeelse kirjanduse kirjastamine, vahendamine ja vastuvõtt Ees­ tis pärast taasiseseisvumist, kui riik pööras pilgu pigem angloameerika kultuuriruumi suunas.
本文考察了1990年至2000年爱沙尼亚德语翻译文学的现状,并试图探讨译者、评论家、出版商、读者和翻译评论家在保持翻译文本的特殊性方面所做的贡献。它还考察了爱沙尼亚重新独立后,德语文学在出版、中介和接受方面的变化,当时该国更倾向于英美文化空间。

Artiklis pööratakse tähelepanu kolmele episoodile Ida-Euroopa mõistmises ja „kodustamises“ rahvusvahelises kunstidialoogis. Vaadeldakse Lääne- ja Ida-Euroopa kunstnike ja teoreetikute lähenemiskatseid 1990. aastatel läbi kolme dialoogi otsiva episoodi. Neist üks käsitleb meililisti Syndicate lagunemist ja vahetumist listiga Spectre. Teine käsitleb konflikti 1996. aastal näitusel „Interpol – a global network from Stock- holm and Moscow“. Kolmas juhtum on seotud Peeter Linnapi korraldatud näitusega „Le Top 50“ (1994), kus prooviti astuda otsekontakti lääne kuns- timaailma tippudega. Viimase näite täiendusena käsitletakse Kaisa Eiche 2021. aastal läbiviidud eksperimenti. Artikkel näitab, et Ida-Euroopast pole enam võimalik rääkida „lähedase Teise“ võtmes. Ta on „mitte-Teine“.

Artiklis uuritakse looduse-kultuuri dualismi kujutamist Andrus Kivirähki ja Monique Roffey loomingu näitel. Toetudes materiaalsele ökokriitikale, analüüsitakse, kuidas kirjanikud looduse ja kultuuri vastandust ümber mõtestavad. Kõrvutades Roffey romaane „The White Woman on the Green Bicycle“ (2009), „Sun Dog“ (2002) ja Kivirähki romaani „Mees, kes teadis ussisõnu“ (2007), ilmneb neis looduskultuuriline hägu- sus ja posthumaanne maailm, mis vaidlustab normatiivse inimkeskse vaatenurga. Kirjanikud osutavad antropotsentrismi kriitikale ja kultuuri muutumisele, laiendades agentsuse ja hääle loodusele ning dekonstruee- rides looduse ja kultuuri binaarsuse. Artiklis käsitletakse uusi teoreetilisi kontseptsioone keskkonnahumanitaariast: transkorporeaalsus, loodus- kultuurilisus ja agentsus. Artikkel käsitleb eesti performance’i-kunsti retseptsiooni Soome trükimeedias peamiselt 1980. aastate lõpus, kui toimusid kunstnike esimesed külaskäigud üle lahe. Uuritavat perioodi raamivad metafoorid „suudlus“ ning „süütuse kaotus“. Esimene neist tähistab Eesti tegevuskunstnike esmakohtumisi läänega, mida markeerib konkreetne aktsioon, mille käigus kunstnik Siim-Tanel Annus suudles Soome maa- pinda. „Süütuse kaotus“ tähistab perestroika-aegse performance’i-kunsti siirdumist siirusest künismi, mida on esile tõstnud kunstnik Raoul Kur- vitz. See üleminek peegeldab laiemalt lääne idealiseerimise lõppu, kaine- nemist ning kapitalistlike oludega kohanemist. Artikkel analüüsib toonast kunstikriitikat, mille kaudu avaldub metafooridest laetud performance’i-kunsti ja turbulentse päevapoliitika vaheline pingeväli, ning uurib, kuidas suhestusid publiku ootused ning kunstnike kavatsused.

Artikkel iseloomustab ülevaatlikult 1990ndate Eestis siirde­ aegse ajakirjandusbuumi ning laiema kultuurilise teisenemise osana tek­ kinud lehekoomiksiribade lainet. Moodsa ja läänelikuna tajutud formaat tõrjus leheveergudelt varem menuka karikatuuri ning mõned arvukatest uutest lehekoomiksisarjadest nagu Madis Otsa „Pesakond“ saavutasid suure populaarsuse. Tsensuurijärgsele kõikelubatavuse atmosfäärile ise­ loomulikult pakkusid koomiksid sageli taotluslikult toorest ja amatöör­ likku kunstilist teostust ning vägivaldset ja vulgaarset sisu. 1990. aastate teises pooles, kui trükimeediamaastik stabiliseerus ning hoiakud mõõ­ dukamaks muutusid, hakkas lehekoomiksilaine erinevatel põhjustel vai­ buma. Kohalik materjal asendati enamjaolt tõlkekoomiksiga ja osa loo­ mingulisi impulsse suubus uuel sajandil sõltumatusse koomiksisse. 1990. aastate koomiksipärandist avaldatakse siiani trükis üksikuid reliktsarju ja kuigi seda valdkonda on seni vähe uuritud, võiks lehekoomiksipärand leida tulevikus enam akadeemilist tähelepanu.

Partitivity and object marking in Finnish and Lithuanian 芬兰语和立陶宛语的分词和宾语标记

Lithuanian and Finnish both have alternations in object marking involving the notion of partitivity. In Finnish, the case of the direct object of transitive verbs alternates between the accusative and the partitive. Partitive is the default case for the object of a transitive verb and a special feature is required for the assignment of the accusative. In Lithua­nian, the case of the direct object of transitive verbs alternates between the accusative and the partitive genitive. Some functions of the Finnish parti­tive and the Lithuanian partitive genitive in object marking are identical, but some are markedly different. This paper offers an overview of the fac­tors that have been discussed in the literature as affecting the use of parti­tive cases, and also a comparison of their relevance and relative ranking in Finnish and Lithuanian. Explaining the emergence order of contact-induced language change phenomena in language maintenance 解释语言维护中接触诱发语言变化现象的出现顺序

1 According to generalizations made by Thomason and Kaufman (1988), contact-induced language change in language maintenance starts from the lexicon, then progresses to semantics, phonology, non-core morphosyntax and may result in a profound restructuring. To date no explanations for this particular order have been suggested. The article “translates” the borrowing scale into the metalanguage of the code-copying framework (Johanson 1992), which views contact-induced language change in lexicon, meaning and structure within the same terminological framework. This terminology enables the view that the cognitive mechanism is the same (copying), only that different types of meaning (specific vs. abstract) produce different types of copies. Specific or expressive items yield global copying, while more abstract meaning (grammatical) yields selective copying. Apparently, processing, entrenchment and conventionalization of more abstract meaning require more time than in the case of specific or expressive meaning. This explains why structural changes (selective copies) appear later.

Motivation of foreigners to learn the Lithuanian language 外国人学习立陶宛语的动机

. The article discusses the motivation of adults coming to Lithu­ ania to learn Lithuanian as a foreign language 1 . The motivational back­ ground for learning “small” languages will be discussed. Lithuanian, spo­ ken by approximately 3.5 million people worldwide, is an example of a less popular choice for foreign language learners. However, reindependence in 1991 and joining the European Union in 2004 created new opportunities for teaching Lithuanian as a foreign language. In this paper we wanted to examine the motivational factors driving foreign adults to come to Lithu­ ania to learn its language. The theoretical framework was based on the motivation theories of Gardner and Lambert (1972) and Deci and Ryan (1985). The main tool used for the purpose of research was the Foreign Language Learning Motivation Questionnaire (Gonzales, Lopez 2016). We conducted quantitative research on a representative sample of 114 respon­ dents who participated in different language courses in Lithuania. The results show that learning Lithuanian is strongly connected with internal and integrative motivation, rather than external and instrumental, while the autotelic value of Lithuanian language was also highly rated by the stu­ dents. This confirms that learning “small” languages needs special moti­ vation and instrumental factor plays a lesser role. The article ends with a discussion of the results within a wider context.
