The Chartered Community of Navarre, European Plural Region. With a population of around 660.000 inhabitants, the Chartered Community of Navarre is one of the smallest autonomous communities in Spain. Since the since the 1960s, this border region with no sea outlets has begun to show considerable dynamism in various economic sectors. The resident foreign population has gradually grown, mainly Moroccan, Ecuadorean, Colombian, Romanian. Today it represents almost 11% of the total and is strongly transforming the identity of a proudly regionalist community, linked to its traditions and, in some areas, to the Basque language. Navarre is increasingly acquiring the physiognomy of a plural and multi-ethnic region. This paper intends to investigate this transition, in which immigrant communities are protagonists.

Women in Migration in West Africa: a Future of Emancipation?. This article deals with female cross-border migration in West Africa. It is based on a research project on women migration (2020-2021), coordinated by the Réseau d’Étude des Migrations internationales africaines (REMIGRAF), of the Cheikh Anta Diop University in Dakar. It highlights some results of the research, such as the specificity of the needs, the choices and strategies of women migrants, the adaptive and vulnerability factors, useful to local and regional (i.e. ECOWAS) sustainable public policies.

Young People with Migrant Background: Multicultural Paths in Italian School. Migration is an import field of geographical analysis. The article focuses on the paths of multiculturalism within the Italian educational model. In particular, the author will propose some considerations about children with a migrant background (both nationals and non-nationals) distribution among the different degrees of education. These issues provide an overview of the presence of pupils across the country and the characteristics of the families of origin. Finally, the document explores opportunities and constraints associated with current dynamics and shows the difficulties in learning that migrant children face in school and highlights how influences the integration of a significant and structural component of the population can take place.

The confiscation of assets derived from criminal activities refers to the permanent deprivation of such property through a court decision or administrative procedure, resulting in the transfer of its ownership to the State. This measure can be considered the best way to combat organised crime, especially when it involves the use of confiscated property for the benefit of society and the territories affected by the criminal presence. The purpose of this article is to look at the role of social reuse of property confiscated from organised crime, which involves using properties to transform and enhance territories as well as returning those to the community.

In the now thirty-year-long history of the construction of a formal dimension of the metropolisation process in Italy, the dynamics of administrative reorganisation triggered by Law 56/2014 saw the emergence of the metropolitan city as an element of rupture in the relations between territorial levels. These dynamics are explored through the Roman case, in which the process of institutionalisation of the metropolitan city presents numerous criticalities with respect to the central city’s value as capital, the organisational structure within the metropolitan territory, the relationship with the Latium Region and the relationship with the State regarding European programming.

In the last years the tourist hospitality sector faced substantial changes due to the digital revolution carried on by platforms such as Airbnb. In almost a decade Airbnb consolidated its position as a principal channel in the short-term rental market. Over this period, it faced a series of internal changes regarding the composition of the hosts. Property managers, real estate firms, and tourism hospitality professionals used Airbnb as a preferential channel to their business establishing a professional offer within the platform. This dynamic highly disadvantaged smallest and non-professional hosts. This article analyzes the category of professional host highlighting how, even during the first year of the Covid-19 pandemic (2020), they had maintained their leading position experiencing the best performances.
