Mechanical Properties of Pineapple Leaf Fibre Reinforced Polymer Composites for Application as Prosthetic Socket 菠萝叶纤维增强聚合物复合材料的机械性能研究

Biodegradable fibers derived from natural plants are abundantly available and are currently considered as waste. This study aims at investigating the mechanical properties of pineapple leaf fiber reinforced thermoset composites as possible alternatives to the above-knee glass fiber reinforced prosthetic socket. This study was carried out according to ASTM (2004) standards at temperature and relative humidity of 26 ± 3 °C and 51 ± 2%, respectively. Continuous pineapple leaf fibers are treated with sodium hydroxide and acetic acid, and then added to epoxy and polyester at varying fiber loadings of 0, 20, 30, 40 and 50% to produce fiber reinforced composites using the hand lay-up method. The mechanical properties of glass fiber polyester composite (GFPC) were compared with pineapple leaf fiber polyester composites (PLPC) and pineapple leaf epoxy composites (PLEC). The results showed that PLEC, particularly at 40% fiber loading, had superior mechanical properties than GFPC and PLPC. The tensile, flexural and impact strengths of PLEC are 76.47 ± 3.85 MPa, 81.27 ± 1.77 MPa and 59.03 ± 0.99 k/Jm2 , respectively. These values are higher than those of PLPC with tensile, flexural and impact strengths of 62.09 ± 4.47 MPa, 53.02 ± 1.20 MPa 45.22 ± 1.10 k/Jm2 , respectively. The tensile, flexural and impact strengths of GFPC are also lower and are respectively 59.03 ± 0.99 MPa, 66.10 ± 1.88 MPa and 52.48 ± 1.77 k/Jm2 . Thus, PLEC has the potential to be further developed as a replacement for glass fiber in above-knee prosthetic sockets.

The experimental investigation of the performance phosphor coating 高性能荧光粉涂层的实验研究

Different screen printing parameters have a distinct effect on the quality of coating that is created. This experimental work looked to measure these parameters. It is divided into two parts where the first part measured the surface wettability of various substrates Wettability measurement was performed through measuring the contact angle between the droplet and the substrate surface. Varying the UV exposure time by putting substrate in the UV ozone cleaner has a considerable effect on the wettability of the surface. Water was supplied to a PEDOT: PSS substrate via Fibro DAT 1100 which is attached to a camera and a computer for capturing and analyzing coatings for the spread of a water droplet on the substrate surface. From these analyses, the main aim is to measure the contact angle between the droplet and the substrate surface which indicates the surface wettability. Some factors may affect the wettability of the surface such as varying the UV time and varying the hold time. As a result, increasing these times will decrease the contact angle where a small contact angle indicates a favorable wettability. The second part measured the electrical resistance and transparency of the printed ink after various printing experiments such as implementing UV treatment, changing the ink and changing the mesh ruling. The Rheometer device was used to test the properties of the specimen. Where this device can be used to measure the properties of the specimen such as the shear modules, in this paper the plate was used to effect on the specimens, where different readings are recorded for these specimens. Also, 24 samples were prepared and the electrical resistance for these samples was measured in this paper. As a result, the electrical resistance for treated samples was greater than that for untreated samples; the electrical resistance of Elentan ink was greater than that for PEDOT at the same conditions. Changing the screen size from (61-64) to (40-100) increase the value of resistance at the same conditions. For the transparency measurements the Elentan ink had a higher transparency than PEDOT ink. The paper also carried out an analysis for the relation between the thickness of the phosphor layer and the lamp output, where the relation was inversely proportion.

Hacia un Proyecto Educativo Ambiental Universitario - PRAU 迈向大学环境教育计划- PRAU

Reviste importancia y necesidad proveer a las universidades, desde los Proyectos Universitarios de Educacion Ambiental -PRAU-, de herramientas metodologicas para incorporar la dimension ambiental en los curriculos de los programas que ofrecen. La Corporacion Universitaria Lasallista, integrante como sector academico del Comite Tecnico Interinstitucional de Educacion Ambiental de Antioquia -CIDEA-, en asocio con otro de sus integrantes: la Corporacion Centro de Educacion Ambiental -CEA-, toman la iniciativa de explorar un proceso sistematico hacia la formulacion del PRAU en esta  Universidad, y que a la vez sirva de base para discusiones en ambitos academicos. Este trabajo da cuenta del diagnostico de la educacion ambiental en la Corporacion Universitaria Lasallista, fruto del rastreo de percepciones de los docentes, estudiantes y directivos sobre el tema; de los programas academicos; del componente teleologico y de fuentes secundarias. Trabajo direccionado a los lineamientos para fundamentar el Proyecto Educativo Ambiental Universitario -PRAU- en consonancia con la Politica Nacional de Educacion Ambiental -PNEA-, que transversalice los curriculos de los diferentes programas. Metodologicamente se acudio al Diagnostico Rapido Participativo en el marco de la Investigacion Accion Participacion –IAP- y de la investigacion cualitativa liderada por un equipo interfacultades. Este ejercicio arrojo, entre otros,que la Educacion Ambiental necesita de mayor claridad en su conceptualizacion para articularse como eje de la formacion profesional, para eso se sugieren estrategias que la vinculen en los procesos de la vida universitaria, como espacio para el logro de la vision y el fortalecimiento de la mision institucional.

Con el fin de promover un acercamiento entre los mundos academico y profesional, en el presente trabajo se discutiran una serie de casos practicos reales en los que los procesos de transferencia de conocimiento, relacionados con las necesidades sociales y demandados por diferentes sectores de actividad, seran discutidos de manera amena para el lector en funcion de los parametros imperantes (estatus socio-economico y educacion, principalmente) en el eje fundamental de desarrollo cultural de cualquier pais. Los resultados que se presentan no son mas que una manera de dar a conocer las diferentes formas existentes de realizar el proceso de transferencia al sector productivo en donde la participacion del academico es de enorme importancia. En lo referente a la discusion de aquellos, se abordan las diferentes vias institucionales capaces de generar un verdadero acercamiento social, de motivar la curiosidad y el dinamismo intelectual en los diferentes estratos sociales. Como conclusion se expone, de manera general, la importancia de la divulgacion cientifica, asi como su correcta evaluacion desde las instituciones de acreditacion, con el fin de atraer al investigador hacia la sociedad.

Nanofiltración en el manejo del lactosuero 纳滤在乳清处理中的应用

El lactosuero es un subproducto de la industria lactea, resultante de la coagulacion de diferentes tipos de quesos, se define como la fraccion de la leche, que no precipita por la accion del cuajo o por los acidos, durante el proceso de elaboracion. Constituye el 90% de la leche que ingresa al proceso y este compuesto por sustancias como proteinas solubles, lactosa, vitaminas y sales minerales que son de uso y aplicacion en la industria alimentaria. El lactosuero es una sustancia de alto valor nutritivo, pero muy contaminante al contacto con el agua y costoso de procesar. Una inadecuada gestion del lactosuero trae asociado un alto impacto medioambiental. Este factor hace relevante implementar diferentes procesos que faciliten esta recuperacion. En esta via toma fuerza la aplicacion de tecnologias emergentes de membrana especificamente la nanofiltracion, profundizando en sus caracteristicas, usos, aplicaciones, tipos de membranas y factores fisicoquimicos a tener en cuenta en el lactosuero a tratar. Se estudia entonces el aprovechamiento y tratamiento de lactosueros a traves del uso de la NF en la concentracion y desmineralizacion de estos, la recuperacion de lactosa y de otros componentes importantes por su alto valor nutritivo.
