Anatomical features of the maxillary sinus in people with a leptoprosopic form of the facial skull 面部颅骨倾斜型患者上颌窦的解剖特征

The material of this work was the data from computed tomography (CT) of the head of 63 people in the second period of mature age with a leptoprosopic form of the facial part of the skull. In the study, patients were ranked by gender. The height, depth, and width of the maxillary sinus (MS) were determined. A comparative analysis of the values of the linear dimensions of the MS on the right and left in men and women was carried out, and the gender characteristics of the MS were assessed. A correlation between the linear dimensions of the MS on each side, as well as similar parameters on the right and left, was revealed. Keywords: second period of mature age

Artificial Intelligence (AI) allows medical practitioners to evaluate and reduce the risks of life-threatening patient outcomes. This paper analyses current concepts of Bayesian AI developed to accurately assess trauma severity. It has shown that the proposed Bayesian concept overcomes the «gold» standard used for trauma care in the US and UK emergency units. The examination has been conducted regarding prediction accuracy estimated on the largest trauma patient repository.

Hybrid (Nuss – Ravich) correction of localized deep depression of chest wall deformation 混合(Nuss - Ravich)矫正胸壁变形局部深度凹陷

Pectus excavatum (PE) is the most common pathology of the chest wall. Correction of PE improves the quality of life of patients, as well as improves cardiopulmonary activity. The operation of choice in pediatric practice is the mini-invasive Nuss method. In rare cases, the Ravich method is used. In clinical observation, the first experience of surgical treatment of a child with a deep form of PE using the Nuss – Ravic hybrid technique with a description of the surgical procedure we were demonstrated. This approach has significantly – improved the cosmetic result and reduced the trauma of surgery.

The article presents our clinical observations and results of Hoffman folliculitis detonation treatment in a 25-year-old patient with hair loss lesions on the scalp, in which the area is dense inflammatory, Hyperemic, painful knots with fluctuation and pus content. Timely prescribed adequate therapy led to the regression of dense nodules, which led to the cosmetic recovery of scalp hair in areas of pronounced inflammation.
