"The aim of the study is to examine the branding of handicraft products in Bangladesh. This study has considered twelve districts in Bangladesh as the study area. Researcher has interviewed session with 6 branding and marketing experts first. Based on their opinions on how to brand handicrafts, structured questionnaires have been prepared to collect data from 40 respondents who are entrepreneurs, traders, marketers, suppliers, and other relevant people. Researcher extracts data on the perceptions towards various branding factors in categorical form. This study has used both qualitative and quantitative analysis to identify the impact of branding strategies on the demand for handicrafts. Exploratory factor analysis is used to sort out the statistically significant branding factors followed by multiple regression models to justify the relationship between different branding factors and the demand for handicrafts. This study reveals that the main four variables are handicraft studies, handicraft branding, handicraft promotion and handicraft branding patron associations. Multiple regression result shows that handicraft studies and handicraft branding have a large effect on increasing the demand for handicraft products. This is because handicrafts branding draw the attention to the potential customer about handicrafts products and the high possibility to increase the sales volume. This study recommends cumulative efforts from both public and private sectors to enlarge handicrafts market by incorporating handicraft as a course in each syllabus, advertising properly to encourage people to buy them and reminding the people that handicrafts was part of their ancestor’s lifestyle. Entrepreneurs, government and related organizations can take these steps of branding to increase demand for handicraft products."

"This study empirically assessed the impact of capital market operations on Nigeria's economic growth from 1999 to 2021. The study was carried out to demonstrate the importance of effective capital market operation in the country's economic growth. The study used Ordinary Least Squares (OLS) methods to empirically examine the effect of market capitalization, total new issues, and transaction value on GDP. We tested and validated the hypothesis that capital market operations have a significant impact on Nigeria's economic growth. As a result, the study recommended that the government step up efforts to create a conducive business environment that would allow domestic and foreign investors to invest in the Nigerian capital market, thereby accelerating the country's economic growth."

The study investigated the impact of entrepreneurial orientation on performance of manufacturing firms in Nigeria. The specific objectives of this study were to: investigate the impact of risk-taking on the innovative performance, examine the influence of autonomy on the innovative performance and assess the moderating role of competitive environment on the relationship between entrepreneurial orientation and innovative performance of selected manufacturing firms in Nigeria. A purposive sampling technique was adopted to select the sample size of 373. Primary data were collected through the use of questionnaire and the data were analysed using descriptive statistics, simple linear regression and hierarchical regression. Hypothesis One indicated that there is a significant positive association between risk-taking and innovative performance (R2 = 0.728, p=0.000 < 0.05). Similarly, hypothesis Two revealed a significant positive association between autonomy and innovative performance (R2 = 0.604, p=0.000 < 0.05). Hypothesis Three showed that competitive environment moderates the relationship between entrepreneurial orientation and innovative performance (Adjusted R2 = 0.673, p=0.000 < 0.05). The study recommends that consumer goods manufacturing firms should make continuous and intense efforts to increase their competitive aggressive stance by out-performing their industry rivals in all business activities. Secondly, they should be continually proactive, which implies that they should have the foresight to seize business opportunities at all times.

"This study investigates the issue of energy dependency and its ecological impact in the context of the economic evolution of the 21st century. The research aims to strike a balance between economic growth and environmental protection by distinguishing between sustainable and non-sustainable energy use and exploring their spatial impact on the environment. To ensure statistical robustness, Principal Component Analysis (PCA) was applied to eliminate multicollinearity, and a Spatially Lagged X Model (SLX) was employed to identify the significant factors influencing a country's ecological footprint. The results of the SLX regression demonstrate that the Green Economic Development and Unsustainable Urbanization factors have a significant effect on a country's ecological footprint. An increase in the Green Economic Development factor indicates that countries with rapid economic growth tend to overuse natural resources. Conversely, the Unsustainable Urbanization factor emphasizes the significance of population density and consumption of traditional energy sources in addressing environmental degradation. Additionally, the spatial dependency analysis underscores the importance of taking into account a country's neighbors' policies and actions alongside its own. This finding emphasizes the need for regional and global cooperation in addressing environmental challenges and achieving sustainable development goals. Overall, the research findings offer valuable insights for shaping policies and initiatives aimed at advancing sustainable development and mitigating environmental degradation. "

"In today's increasingly interconnected global economy, understanding the mechanisms that influence consumption smoothing has become crucial for policymakers and economists alike. In this study, the effect of income, income asymmetry and financial integration on consumption smoothing in Africa was estimated. The study covers the period 1985-2020 using panel data on 10 countries. Estimation is done using the Dynamic Common Correlated Effects (DCCE) estimation technique. It is shown that asymmetry existed in the short run given the significance of Wald test for asymmetry (P<0.05). Furthermore, positive income asymmetry (β= - 0.7365, z= -2.47), and negative income asymmetry (β= 0.8541, z=2.66), exerts statistically significant effects on consumption smoothing. In the long run, positive income asymmetry (β=3.2595, z=2.17) has significant effect on consumption smoothing. Results from the equation with income asymmetry interacted with financial integration indicates that in the short run, positive income asymmetry (β= -3.7772, z= -2.17), and its interaction with financial integration (β= -3.8545, z= -2.06) exerts significant effects on consumption smoothing. The study recommends that governments could consider implementing regulations and controls on international financial flows to limit the impact of external shocks, howbeit with caution, given the consumption smoothing reducing effect of the interaction of positive income asymmetry and financial integration. "Despite the high propensity of energy usage in driving the economic activities, the issues of global climate change and global warming which pose enormous threats to human welfare have motivated the growing need for energy sustainability globally. In the light of the above, the Sustainable Development Goal (SDG 7) advocates for the usage of energy from cleaner sources. Meanwhile, impact of energy usage on human welfare has largely been the issue of concern among the scholars in Nigeria. Against this backdrop, this study examined energy sustainability and human welfare in Nigeria. Consequently, data was collected from secondary sources, and analyzed within the framework of Fully Modified Ordinary Least Squares (FMOLS) and Granger causality test. The summary of the principal findings in this is enunciated as follows; energy sustainability and life expectancy had a positive and significant relationship in Nigeria. Government expenditures on health had both negative and insignificant relationship with life expectancy in Nigeria. Also, there was a unidirectional causality flowing from life expectancy to electricity consumption from hydroelectric sources in Nigeria. Furthermore, one way feedback flows from government expenditure on health to life expectancy. From these findings, this study recommends that Nigeria would want to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals one (1) - promoting good life for the people, and seven (7) - affordable and clean energy simultaneously before the SDGs timeline elapses in 2030, the Nigerian policymakers and all stakeholders should be aggressively involved in energy sustainability movement in the country."
