Probing Effective Language Development Programs in Indonesian Islamic Higher Education: a Case of IAIN Pekalongan 探讨印尼伊斯兰高等教育中有效的语言发展计划——以印尼伊斯兰高等学校为例

Language development programs in higher education institutions have been facing concurring obstacles. A great part of these obstacles are caused by low proficiency level of students. The fact that prospective students are considered to have adequate experience in learning foreign language does not necessarily make the programs design undemanding. In order to cope with this challenge, higher education institutions need to perform thorough and careful processes of designing language development programs. This article argues that determining realistic goals, keeping up with latest research findings, and creating supportive environments will greatly contribute to effectiveness of these programs.
高等教育机构的语言发展项目一直面临着障碍。这些障碍很大程度上是由学生的熟练程度低造成的。事实上,未来的学生被认为在学习外语方面有足够的经验,并不一定使课程设计要求不高。为了应对这一挑战,高等教育机构需要在设计语言发展课程时进行彻底而细致的过程。本文认为,确定现实的目标,跟上最新的研究结果,并创造支持性的环境,将大大有助于这些计划的有效性。

One of the most precious achievement in qur'anic studies was the book of Al-Ittijâhât al-Munharifah fi al-Tafsir: Dawâfi'uha wa Daf'uha written by A great Islamic scholar, Muhammad Husein al-Dzahabi. He was succeeded in discussing several issues of corruptions of the exegesis of the holy Qur'an. This article is aimed to explain and to describe his analysis toward several corrupted linguist interpretations in their originations and such corrupted linguistic interpretations of the holy Qur'an which are ignoring Arabic structures and grammers

There are four skills in teaching Arabic. Ie listening, speaking, reading, and writing. Among these four, speaking considered one of the most important objectives of learning foreign language. In order to speak properly, one must know the vocabulary and apply it in a sentence. The aims of this research is to describe the teaching of vocabulary to apply the speaking skill in the school of Islamic teachers in the Institute of Bait al Arqom Balong Jember. This study used qualitative approach. The data collection was taken trough observation, personal interview, history and documentation. The teaching of vocabulary to apply the speaking skill at the Islamic Teachers' School at the Institute of Bait Al Arqam Balong Jember has gone well in terms of planning (general objectives and specific objectives), implementation (materials, use of the teaching method and teaching aids), and evaluation (assessment and evaluation). This teaching is to apply the speaking skill in terms of conversation or dialogue and lecture.

Musykilah Kitabah Al Bahs Wa Hilluha Fi Qism Talim Al Lugah Al Arabiyyah Jami'ah Sunan Kalijaga Al Islamiyah Al Hukumiyah

Department of Arabic Education UIN Sunan Kalijaga has not set a policy on the obligation to write thesis in Arabic. Therefore, there are students who prefer to write their thesis in Indonesian. The article aims to find out the factors that cause students to prefer to write their thesis in Indonesian, the absence of policy writing thesis with Arabic and formulate a set of policy to upgrade the quality of graduate students by improving their paper. This is qualitative descriptive research in field research method. The data collection method gathered from questionare and interview. The data source were collected from the students who are still completing and had finished their undergraduste paper, and also the leader of Arabic Education Department as the stakeholder.The result shows eight factors that cause the students prefer to compose their undergraduate papers in Indonesian language. The are also four reasons to consider that it is not compulsory for the students to write the undergraduate paper in Arabic language. More over, there are three sets of policy about composing undergraduate paper to improve the quality of the graduate students the last is the steps of the realization of each activities

Mazhab of Basra is part of ideologies in nahw. It is the first embryo of traditional linguistics throughout the history. In this stage, there were many figures of nahw who developed the basic of nahw. This article provides the readers an illustration of geography of Basra as well as its history. In addition, it also provides the characteristics of the Islamic schools in building the basic principles of nahw and acquaints its figures of nahw as well as their best creations.

Learning material is one of important things in a teaching and learning process. A good learning material is the one which is appropriate with the condition of the students. Therefore, it is necessary for all teachers to know how to develop a good learning material to make it suitable for the students in each level. This article conducts the basic concept of learning material development which consists of definition, characteristics, kinds and function of learning material, how to develop it and apply it well.

Qur'an is revealed in a different language style with the previous books. Everyone must have deep knowledge of rhetoric, especially semantics, to understand it. Qur'an uses rhetoric in many verses to explain some crucial issues related to education, such as teaching method which stated in Al-Ghashiyah. The objective of this research is to find out the kind of Istifham which contained in Al-Ghashiyah, the meaning of a query tool in Al-Ghashiyah, and the correlation between Al-Ghashiyah containing istifham with Islamic education. This research uses qualitative approach, with descriptive and inductive analysis method.The research result shows that there are three adawatul istifham in Al-Ghashiyah, they are: "هل" (in the first verse), "أ" (in the seventeenth paragraph), and "كيف" (in the seventeenth to the twentieth verse). The word “هل in this surah has various meanings such as admiration, adoration, exaggeration, and longing. On the other hand, the word " أ " means command, admiration, and warning, while the meaning of " كيف " is for exaltation. The use of هل at the first verse of Al-Ghashiyah shows the importance of screening and observation before the lesson. Therefore, the Adawatul istifham is repeated in seventeenth verse to twentieth verse in order to answer the question of the first verse which show that it is obligatory for all teachers to guide the learners, monitor and evaluate the learning material that will be learned.

Learning is basically an attempt to change or improve one's potential, prospective students (raw input) into a new individual (raw output) with a certain quality. Learning has three important elements, namely input, process and output. These three elements are closely interconnected. Indicators of learning success vary from one school to another school. By using qualitative method, this article aims to describe the success of Arabic language learning through selection process of new admissions to get quality student input because the quality of student input is one of the success factors of learning at school. Therefore, it is necessary for schools to held a selection of new admissions to get quality student input, so that the learning success will be easier to achieve.

Learning has three important elements, namely input, process and output. These three elements are closely interconnected. Indicators of learning success vary from one school to another school. By using qualitative method, this article aims to describe the success of Arabic language learning through selection process of new admissions to get quality student input because the quality of student input is one of the success factors of learning at school. TSALATS MARAHIL LI TATHWIR TA'LIM AL-LUGHAH AL-ARABIYYAH FI INDONESIA

The spread of Islam in Indonesia is closely related to the activity of Arabic language learning. As a code of linguistic expressions in learning Islam, the first aim in learning Arabic language in Indonesia is to fulfill people’s need in praying. In the second phase, Arabic language learning developed at many Islamic Boarding Schools. There was awareness that Arabic language was not only a tool in understanding a text, but also a tool for communication. It makes many people, especially those who studied abroad in the Middle East, motivated to innovate in the education development such as finding new concept and new teaching method especially in Arabic language teaching. In the third phase, Arabic language learning is nowadays used in a formal education and it is still in the process of completion of its curriculum, learning objective, learning material, teaching method, and its teaching media used in the teaching and learning process.
伊斯兰教在印度尼西亚的传播与阿拉伯语学习活动密切相关。阿拉伯语作为学习伊斯兰教的语言表达准则,在印度尼西亚学习阿拉伯语的首要目的是满足人们祈祷的需要。在第二阶段,阿拉伯语学习在许多伊斯兰寄宿学校发展起来。人们认识到,阿拉伯语不仅是理解文本的工具,也是交流的工具。这使得许多人,特别是中东留学的人,在教育发展中有了创新的动力,比如寻找新的理念和新的教学方法,特别是在阿拉伯语教学中。在第三阶段,阿拉伯语学习如今被用于正规教育,它仍处于完成其课程、学习目标、学习材料、教学方法和教学媒体在教学和学习过程中使用的过程中。

‘AMALIYYAH TA’LIM HIFDH AL-MUFRADAT BI WASITHAH AL-UGHNIYAH LI TARJAMAH KUTUB AT-TURATS

The basic concept of Arabic language learning is learning kinds of noun. Therefore, it is necessary for Arabic language learners to know the name of things needed in communication. One of the causes of failure and success in language learning is the use of media. There are so many teaching media used in language learning, including songs. In this case, the teacher chooses the most favorite song of the students, and then changes its lyrics with difficult words of the classic book. This media is used because it is supposed to be able to create fun and enjoyable situation and give the students ease in memorizing new vocabularies, especially in understanding the meaning of the classic books. On the other hand, the weakness of this media is that the teacher, especially those who have lack of singing abilities, found any difficulties in preparing the vocabulary of the classic book and put them into the song lyrics.
阿拉伯语学习的基本概念是学习各种名词。因此,对于阿拉伯语学习者来说,了解交际中所需要的事物的名称是很有必要的。语言学习成败的原因之一是媒体的使用。在语言学习中有很多教学媒介,包括歌曲。在这种情况下,老师选择了学生最喜欢的歌曲,然后用经典书的难词来改变歌词。使用这种媒体是因为它应该能够创造有趣和愉快的情景,并使学生轻松记忆新词汇,特别是在理解经典书籍的意思方面。另一方面,这种媒体的弱点是,教师,特别是那些缺乏唱歌能力的教师,在准备经典书籍的词汇并将它们融入歌词时发现了任何困难。
