Computer aided analysis and design of lumped/distributed microstrip networks in inhomogeneous media 非均匀介质中集总/分布微带网络的计算机辅助分析与设计

Explicit forms of the state and output equations of lumped/distributed networks in inhomogeneous media are derived. No restriction on the network topology is required. Multicoupled structures in inhomogeneous media occur frequently in microwave circuits, especially in integrated circuits. The effect of different mode propagation can easily be taken into consideration. Illustrative examples of microstrip circuits are analyzed. The derived formulas have been incorporated in computer-aided procedures for the analysis of lumped/distributed networks in the frequency and time domain. The developed program incorporating the state and output equations can deal with any number of coupled transmission lines in inhomogeneous media.<>

A novel technique for the design of switched-capacitor bandpass filters with amplitude selectivity and phase linearity in a significant portion of the passband is presented. The technique uses low-sensitivity structures employing lossless-discrete integrator building blocks. The design of a sixth-order bandpass filter is considered as an example.<>

Frequency domain characterization of two time scale sampled data systems 两个时间尺度采样数据系统的频域特性

Sampled data systems having two frequency scale behavior are introduced. Properties of these systems are characterized in terms of their transfer matrices. An approximation theorem is given by which a two frequency scale sampled data (TFS-SD) system can be approximated in terms of its low and high frequency parts. The relationship between a TFS-SD system and its time domain counterpart, a two time scale sampled data (TTS-SD) system, is established.<>

Performance analysis of a new implementation for the frequency-domain LMS adaptive filter 一种新的频域LMS自适应滤波器实现方法的性能分析

The author analyzes the performance of a novel implementation of the frequency-domain LMS (least mean square) adaptive filter. This implementation is based on using the LMS adaptive algorithm to implement the DFT (discrete Fourier transform) part of the frequency-domain LMS adaptive filter. Numerical issues are also discussed. This is significant in this implementation because the performance of the frequency-domain LMS adaptive filter is dependent on the accuracy of the DFT computation obtained by using the LMS algorithm. The effects of inaccurate transform (DFT) computation of the performance of the transform-domain LMS adaptive filter are analyzed. The author also used a linear filter model to explain some of the observed nonideal effects. This indicated that, for large filter lengths, the accuracy of the DFTs computed diminishes.<>

A recent ARMA (autoregressive moving average) algorithm for the identification of stochastic systems and signal models is discussed, and empirical results are given. The ARMA identifier discussed includes inherent order estimation. In comparison with other ARMA stochastic system identifiers, the new procedure has been empirically shown to yield highly accurate, unbiased results.<>

Enhancement of transmission characteristics in elliptic filter design 椭圆滤波器设计中传输特性的增强

In filter design, the delay characteristic becomes flatter as the values of the pole-Q decrease. For elliptic filters there exists a method by which one may continuously decrease Q values by increasing a single parameter within the design specifications. It is demonstrated that the pole Q can be lowered by increasing omega /sub s/ (the stopband frequency where the stopband begins). As a consequence the step response in the time domain as well as the delay characteristic in the frequency domain improves.<>

A resistive mesh analysis method for parallel path searching 一种并行路径搜索的电阻网格分析方法

A novel constructive parallel path searching method is proposed. This method is based on selecting local maximum current in unity resistive mesh (URM) whose principle is to obtain the field expressed with the Poisson equation. A bottleneck detecting approach based on the proposed method is presented. The proposed method has been applied to the problems of LSI routing, communication path routing of a processor array, and path searching for a robot. Experimental results showed the efficiency of the proposed method.<>

An evaluation study of traditional and neural network techniques for image processing applications 传统和神经网络技术在图像处理中的应用评估研究

A comparative study of the artificial neural computing and traditional approaches to image processing is performed. The major goal is to determine the usefulness of artificial neural systems (ANSs) for such image processing applications as histogramming and image encoding. The paradigm used was developed from a C programming language model of a perceptron ANS with consideration of backpropagation attributes. It is found that the ANS approach produces results similar to those of traditional techniques.<>

2-D signal interpolation using subsequence FFT 基于子序列FFT的二维信号插值

An efficient 2-D interpolation algorithm is presented which is a 2-D extension of the subsequence approach for 1-D interpolation introduced by K. Prasad and P. Satyanarayana (1986), which avoids the redundant operations in the inverse transform. An improved intermediate sequence is introduced to preserve the Hermitian symmetry when interpolating a real-valued signal. The resulting algorithm is significantly more efficient than the 2-D FFT method of J.W. Adams (1987). It is also more convenient, since it permits the use of the IFFT with a size that is the same as that of the original FFT.<>
