Nonlinear control of interleaving boost AC/DC converters: Output voltage regulation and power factor correction 交错升压AC/DC变换器的非线性控制:输出电压调节和功率因数校正

This article presents a single-phase power factor correction (PFC) circuit for AC-to-DC converter using an interleaved boost converter (IBC), leading to improve the input power factor (PF), reducing the input current harmonics and decreasing the number of needed active switches. The control objectives are twofold: (i) guaranteeing a tight regulation of the DC output voltage to a desired reference value, (ii) assuring a unitary power factor by imposing the voltage and the current delivered by the electric network to be in phase. The studied problem is dealt by designing a cascade-structure nonlinear controller. The inner loop of the latter ensures the PFC objective; it is built-up using the backstepping design approach that is developed making use of the Lyapunov control design technique. The outer loop regulates the converter squared output voltage employing a filtered PI regulator.

Double sided linear switched reluctance motor analysis and modeling including end-effect 包括末端效应在内的双面开关磁阻电机分析与建模

The work developed in this paper deals with modeling and study of Linear Switched Reluctance Motor (LSRM), in particular the end-effect phenomenon. The studied actuator is a double-sided linear switched reluctance motor with an active translator and passive stator with a plate geometry. End effect is a very important phenomenon that affects the phase in the extremity in the linear motor and gives phases with different characteristics. This effect is always neglected in many research works or studied using 3D Finite Element Analysis. The proposed model in this paper takes into account end-effect for a better description of this motor. The confrontation between the simulation of the proposed model and experimental results give a good correspondence.

Dithering system and single pumping for the impact of nonlinear distortions in radio over fibre systems 抖动系统和单泵送对光纤无线电系统非线性畸变的影响

The major problem in the application of the RoF (Radio over Fiber) is related to nonlinearity characteristic. The proposed approach offers improve transmission component and optical fiber system to applied high frequency dithering technique method to combine single forward pumping laser with energizing optical energy to excite the electrons to reduce distortion from nonlinear effects. Application of those could be expected to be able to produce power maximum and a good constellation for lower OLP (Optical Launch Power) based on varied linewidth. The simulation result showed that the increase of power achieved 0.54 % on the peak power -36.61 dBm and frequency 5.403x 109 Hz. The best SNR (Signal to Noise Ratio) achieved 64 dB and EVM (Error-Vector- Magnitude) 0.125 % for OLP -8 dBm on linewidth 0.15 MHz and maximum optical fiber in the length of 100 km.

Non intrusive selective facial feature tracking: A fuzzy control approach 非侵入性选择性面部特征跟踪:一种模糊控制方法

This paper presents a real time facial feature tracking system employing an inexpensive imaging device and two servo motors, to control the pan and tilt of the camera, for face tracking to capture vital facial features. Kanade Lucas Tomasi (KLT) method was adopted to track the facial features. The system was tested on various indoor and outdoor environments and the method shows good robustness and accuracy with a success rate of 95.7%. The proposed method has the ability to track from a selection of facial parts in comparison to being confined to track only the face.

Improvement of thermal stratification in a storage tank by the integration of a porous layer 通过多孔层的集成改善储罐内的热分层

In this work, the effect of inserting a porous layer in a cylindrical tank on the storage time and thermal stratification during the charge phase was numerically studied. The flow is governed by the Navier Stokes equations in the fluid region, Darcy Brinkman model in the porous region, and the thermal field by the energy equation. The finite volume method is used to solve the governing equation system of our problem. The accuracy of the numerical results has been validated with the works found in the literature, and a good agreement has been found. The porous layer thickness effect on the storage time and the thickness of the thermocline zone was presented. The results show that the insertion of porous media serves to promote the thermal storage time of about 49.35%. Also, the use of porous media serves to reduce the thickness of the thermocline zone by about 34.5% compared to the base case (without porous media).

Analysis of stator slot structure effects on magnetic field in brushless doubly fed induction machine 无刷双馈感应电机定子槽结构对磁场的影响分析

In recent years, Brushless Doubly Fed Induction Machine (BDFIM) becomes more important for wind energy because BDFIM provides frequency control. Especially, absence of brush makes this machine significant for offshore wind energy application. This machine has two stator windings and special rotor construction, so analysis of magnetic field of BDFIM is different from other machines and quite complicated. BDFIM has too many harmonics due to its special structure. In this paper magnetic field of BDFIM in air gap is analyzed with analytical method and Matlab. Additionally, effect of stator slot structure on air gap magnetic field and the effects of stator variables such as slot number and pole pair numbers on magnetic field and THD are investigated.

Investigation of grid supply harmonic effects in wound rotor induction machines 绕线转子感应电机电网供电谐波效应研究

This paper presents an in-depth investigation of the effects of several grid supply harmonic voltages on the stator currents of an example wound rotor induction machine. The observed effects of higher order grid supply harmonics are identified using a finite element time stepping transient model, as well as a time-stepping electromagnetic model. In addition, a number of analytical equations to calculate the spectral content of the stator currents are presented in the paper. The presented equations are validated through comparison with the obtained spectra predicted using the finite element and electromagnetic models. The presented study provides a better understanding of the origin of supply harmonic effects identified in the stator currents of the example wound rotor induction machine. Furthermore, the study helps to understand the effects of higher order supply harmonics on the harmonic emissions of an example wound rotor induction machine.

Development of current noise cancellation method using sample delaying for bearing fault diagnosis in induction motors 基于样本延迟的现有噪声消除方法在异步电动机轴承故障诊断中的发展

The dominant components in the stator current of a typical induction motor contain a substantial amount of information that is not related to bearing faults and can be considered as "noise" to bearing fault detection. Due largely to poor signal to noise ratio, the detection of incipient faults in bearings by current signal is still challenging. To improve this ratio, this paper proposes a current noise cancellation method based on non-Gaussian residues for bearing fault diagnosis in induction motors. Experimental results for inner/outer raceway bearing defects verify the merits and effectiveness of the proposed method. In addition, it is experimentally shown that the proposed method is superior to the classic motor current signature analysis and the recent proposed method based on Teager-Kaiser energy Operator on motor current signal. To verify the existence of outer/inner raceway defects throughout experimental results, envelope analysis of vibration signal is used as well.

Experimental results for inner/outer raceway bearing defects verify the merits and effectiveness of the proposed method. In addition, it is experimentally shown that the proposed method is superior to the classic motor current signature analysis and the recent proposed method based on Teager-Kaiser energy Operator on motor current signal. Electrical distribution network's failure analysis based on weather conditions 基于天气条件的配电网故障分析

The failure detection and response time for failures in electrical distribution networks are key elements for proper power management in distribution companies. The reliability of electrical distribution is strictly related with weather conditions especially in overhead lines. Severe weather conditions can rapidly increase failure rates in distribution networks where company responses for failures may delayed consequently. In this study, electrical distribution network statistics of Beda; Company for Gaziosmanpasa district which contains highest overhead line population in Istanbul are investigated. These statistics are collected from failure management system in Bedas Distribution Company between 2014 and 2016. Especially electrical connector and oxidation failure rates are analyzed for different weather conditions. These statistics are compared with first four months of year 2017 which exhibit severe weather conditions and heavy falls. This study reveals the relationship between different weather conditions and failures in electrical distribution network which can be utilized for predictive management for distribution companies in terms of failure elimination and quick failure response.

Preprocessing of tomato images captured by smartphone cameras using color correction and V-channel Otsu segmentation for tomato maturity clustering 使用颜色校正和v通道Otsu分割对智能手机相机拍摄的番茄图像进行预处理,用于番茄成熟度聚类

Preprocessing stage is an essential part in image processing or image recognition. Image taken by smartphone cameras may have inconsistent color that leads to inconsistent intensities, although they are captured in the same position and lighting condition. Apart from color inconsistency, there is a probability that smartphone camera produces blurry images. In order to solve those problems, this paper proposes a new framework to preprocessing image using combination of Linear Regression algorithm and V-Channel Otsu segmentation. Color correction and V-Otsu segmentation yield better segmentation and achieve good results after being evaluated using 6-means clustering. There are four types of smartphone devices tested to capture all tomato images. Since not all devices produce clear images, to test blurred image we use the variance of Laplacian. Based on experiment, Samsung Galaxy Ace produces the most blurred images. Preprocessing applied in blurred images using combination of Linear Regression and V-Channel Otsu segmentation (LR-V-Otsu) yield MSE up to 1.033. This result concludes that the algorithm is robust for blurred image.
