Probabilistic wind power forecasting based on the laplace distribution and golden search 基于拉普拉斯分布和黄金搜索的风电概率预测

The point forecast of wind power and its error distribution are estimated under the assumption that the error distribution follows known distributions in a closed form. The point forecast is estimated via the gradient boosting machine (GBM). The mean of the error distribution is assumed to be zero, and the standard deviation (STD) of the error distribution is found to minimize the sum of the mismatches between the quantiles of the error distribution and the actual target value. The mismatch is measured by the pinball loss function, and the optimal STD is found through the golden section search method. The performance of our proposed algorithm is verified by using the numerical weather prediction (NWP) and wind power data from the 2014 Global Energy Forecasting Competition (GEFCom). Our current benchmark ranking is second according to the published competition result of 14th week.

Geolocation of utility assets using omnidirectional ground-based photographic imagery 利用全向地面摄影图像对公用事业资产进行地理定位

A process for using ground-based photographic imagery to detect and locate power distribution assets is presented. The primary feature of the system presented here is its very low cost compared to more traditional inspection methods, because the process takes place entirely in virtual space. Specifically, the system can locate assets with a precision comparable to typical GPS units used for similar purposes, and can readily identify utility assets, for example transformers, if appropriate training data are provided. Further human intervention would only be necessary in a small fraction of cases, where very high uncertainty is flagged by the system. The feasibility of the process is demonstrated here, and a path to full integration is presented.

Modeling and evaluating the capacity credit of PV solar systems using an analytical method 用解析法对光伏太阳能系统的容量信用进行建模和评估

This paper introduces an analytical method to calculate the capacity credit of PV system in a manner that considers both the effect of input uncertainty and system components availability. The intermittency of the input source and system components availability were modeled separately and then convolved to construct a single capacity outage table. The discrete convolution method has been used in this work to build a generation model in the form of a capacity outage probability table. The proposed method is applied on the RBTS. The obtained results are compared to the results obtained by Monte Carlo simulation. The proposed method reduces the complexity of calculating the capacity credit of PV system considering the effect of system components availability.

The latest state of the art and ongoing research about high power gas-insulated underground transmission lines as well as the latest technical improvements are presented in this contribution. The basic technology is presented and the advances of the technology with respect to different installation options are discussed. A very high power transmission capability, a low capacitance, lower resistive losses compared to power cables and overhead lines, negligible magnetic fields, no ageing phenomena of the insulating system and a maintenance free design are the main benefits. In consequence, GIL technology for high power HVDC transmission is actually under development.

This paper describes a relatively new method for understanding the relationship of the carbon oxide gases in transformer main tanks, which is currently not well known in the industry. This new diagnostic method is not only educational, but simple to understand and will assist the technician/engineer in determining whether a problem can most likely be repaired on site, or not. In this paper a comprehensive, simplified method for determining the location of developing problems within a power transformer will be provided, which includes overheating leads, core, main winding paper, de-energized tap changers (DETC). Since online tap changers (OLTC) play a vital role in the performance of the transformer, DGA diagnostics are included in this paper.

Optimal battery operation in frequency regulation markets considering its health factors 考虑健康因素的调频市场电池最佳运行

Operation of GSS in frequency regulation markets is desirable due to its fast response capabilities and the corresponding revenues. However, GSS health is strongly dependent on its operation and understanding the tradeoffs between revenues and degradation factors is essential. This paper studies these tradeoffs through optimization based on dynamic programming. The degradation factors are accounted for in the reward function through weights. Based on these weights, simple control rules are devised to capture the desired response trajectory.

Transformer oil DGA monitoring technology study 2015 变压器油DGA监测技术研究2015

As use of dissolved gas analysis (DGA) monitors increases as a growing component of transformer maintenance and reliability, it is imperative to understand the capabilities of monitors in their ability to align with conventional laboratory results and detect gas-related changes from a baseline. SDMyers studied DGA monitors from several manufacturers through experiments over 18 months. Technologies included in the study were gas chromatography, photo-acoustic spectroscopy, solid-state palladium, thermal conductivity detection, and selective membrane methods. This paper summarizes conclusions from that study based on technology employed.

Distributed load shedding over directed communication networks with time delays 具有时间延迟的定向通信网络的分布式减载

When generation is insufficient to support all loads in a power system under emergencies, effective and efficient load shedding needs to be deployed in order to prevent system collapse. This paper presents a ratio consensus based distributed algorithm to discover the system overload after disturbance. In the proposed algorithm, the agent at each bus only communicates with its neighboring agents via directed communication links possibly with arbitrarily large but bounded time-varying communication delays. Simulation results are used to validate the proposed method.

A novel Newton-Raphson algorithm for power flow analysis in the presence of constant current sources 恒流源下潮流分析的牛顿-拉夫逊新算法

This paper presents a version of the Newton-Raphson (NR) algorithm that has been modified to provide a means of facilitating the power flow analysis of loop systems in the presence of current sources that rely on current controlled inverters, such as distributed generators (DGs). The modifications entail the inclusion of the current elements of current sources in the Jacobian matrix of the NR algorithm. The effect is to enable current controlled sources to be modeled directly in the power flow algorithms without the need for converting their currents to the corresponding power components, which is the traditional practice in power flow algorithms. The proposed algorithm has been tested on an IEEE 14-bus system. For loop systems with current controlled sources, the test results show that using this algorithm for power flow analysis offers enhanced accuracy.

An automated model based fault locating method for distribution systems 基于模型的配电系统故障自动定位方法

This paper proposes an Event Screening method in order to facilitate the automated locating of permanent faults on a distribution feeder. The screening is needed as during a permanent fault, the fault current maybe interrupted by multiple operations of protection devices (PDs), and therefore determining the proper fault current for the model based fault locating method (FLM) becomes challenging. The Event Screening Method analyzes the all the events captured by the fault monitoring device (usually a PQ monitor) and determines the proper fault information needed by FLM. Test results for the improved FLM with Event Screening integrated are provided using a real distribution feeder. The results show that the Event Screening Method is able to accurately predict the operating sequence of PDs during a fault and that the improved FLM can accurately locate the faulted zone.
