Face recognition with CLNF for uncontrolled occlusion faces 基于CLNF的非受控遮挡人脸识别

Even though there has been enormous research in facial analysis and more sophisticated algorithm, face recognition fails drastically in real time when the facial images are occluded. This paper explains the algorithm and technical concepts behind the high accurate face recognition systems for a 2D frontal images with occlusion for a business requirments. Face recognition is implemented using Convolutional Neural Network (CNN) for training the occlusion images where the features are extracted by using Constrained Local Neural Field (CLNF). The work has done the real time uncontrolled occlusion dataset and recognized the face with the accuracy of 98.5% for the FAR of 0.

Stereo images for depth measurement 立体图像深度测量

Obtaining 3D information from 2D image/video or a pair of 2D images is a way more economical and handy than that of using 3D cameras. The depth by disparity approach to obtain 3D information from a pair of 2D images called as stereo images is used in said system. Though the concept of depth by disparity is not new, the significant progress and useful applications has not been yet seen in the real world. The system proposed presents a method/algorithm to extract the disparity map (Depth information) within milliseconds by using a pair of stereo images of that particular scene. The time taken to calculate disparity map is 25 and 30 seconds using combined SAD and GRAD algorithm. To implement system in real time, the execution time needs to be very small. Thus a modified algorithm is presented in this paper to minimize the time taken to compute the disparity map by minimizing the calculations. The time saving is achieved by eliminating the unwanted search regions (which minimizes active search region) for disparity computation.

Performance analyzer: An approach for performance analysis of enterprise servers 性能分析器:一种用于企业服务器性能分析的方法

Performance analysis is critical for ensuring that a computer system operates with desired efficiency. There are many challenges in analyzing the performance of enterprise servers such as the manual steps involved in the process, lack of visual analysis and reporting, time required to analyze related metrics, lack of open source tools for performance analysis of enterprise servers. This paper proposes a simple, yet efficient methodology for addressing these common problems faced and makes the task of performance analysis easier and effective. The implementation is focused on developing a generic performance analysis tool called `Performance Analyzer'. The important features of the tool are it is server and database agnostic, reusable templates, visual analysis of data, report generation and BigData analysis. The tool was tested by analyzing the performance of HPE NonStop servers and the results shows a considerable improvement in time, effort required and effectiveness of performance analysis. Specifically, for analysis carried out for correlating the values of performance metrics of different data sets and getting the overview of the performance data, the time required for analysis was reduced by more than 5 times.

Tuning of digital PID controller for blood glucose level of diabetic patient 糖尿病患者血糖水平数字PID控制器的整定

This paper is based on designing of digital Proportional-integral derivative (PID) controller which controls the blood glucose level of diabetic patient. The main objective is to design a digital PID controller using tuning rules like Ziegler-Nichols and Cohen-Coon method. The responses are studied & parameters are compared. Best response given by the PID is converted into Digital PID. Different transformation methods are also studied to convert the conventional PID into the digital PID controller.

A noninvasive blood pressure monitoring system 一种无创血压监测系统

Blood pressure measurement serves as a pivot for diagnosis of cardiovascular conditions and is done conventionally using sphygmomanometer. However this method has the limitations of producing only fewer readings in a given time and causing patient discomfort. Hence there is a need for blood pressure measurement procedure that can give more readings in a given span of time and with utmost ease. We developed a low cost noninvasive blood pressure measurement system which uses the photoplethysmography technique. Reflective Infrared sensors are used for the developed module. The time difference between the blood flow in vein is used to find blood flow velocity, which is eventually used to compute the Systolic blood pressure.

Securing IoT devices using JavaScript based sandbox 使用基于JavaScript的沙箱保护物联网设备

Internet of Things is gaining research attention as one of the important fields that will affect our daily life vastly. Today, around us this revolutionary technology is growing and evolving day by day. This technology offers certain benefits like automatic processing, improved logistics and device communication that would help us to improve our social life, health, living standards and infrastructure. However, due to their simple architecture and presence on wide variety of fields they pose serious concern to security. Due to the low end architecture there are many security issues associated with IoT network devices. In this paper, we try to address the security issue by proposing JavaScript sandbox as a method to execute IoT program. Using this sandbox we also implement the strategy to control the execution of the sandbox while the program is being executed on it.

AC resistance calculation of litz wire and its modeling with FEMM litz导线交流电阻计算及FEMM建模

This paper includes calculation of the AC resistance of litz wire in a wide frequency range for an optimal strand diameter by two methods and compared. Calculations of AC resistance for these methods are carried out by using mathematical software SCILAB. Analysis of skin effect is carried out with FEMM. Effect of pitch on AC resistance is analyzed. The results for AC resistance, skin effect and analysis of skin effect presented in this paper are compared with FEM simulations. A graphical comparison of the theoretical calculation and FEM simulation of ac resistance with frequency is done and found to be in good agreement.

Design and development of smart assistive device for visually impaired people 视障人士智能辅助设备的设计与开发

Blindness is a state of lacking the visual perception due to physiological or neurological factors. In this proposed work, a simple, cheap, friendly user, smart stick will be designed and implemented to improve the mobility of both blind and visually impaired people in a specific area. This multipurpose model is designed to help the blind person to navigate alone safely and to avoid any obstacles that may be encountered, whether fixed or mobile, to prevent any possible accident. The device provides voice output giving direction to the blind Using RFID technology, the destination of the bus is detected and voice announcement is given regarding the destination of the bus. The location of stick is added advantage to the current multipurpose device. Using RFID technology the location of the stick is achieved. The blind is provided with a push button to locate the stick.

The Wireless sensor networks (WSN) is functional in various environments namely surveillance of forest, earth quake monitoring, medical applications etc. This paper tackles with the problem of WSNs with detection of the target with dynamic considerations and random deployment of node. The proposed work explains initial environments of Energy Efficient Distributed Receiver Based Routing Protocol (EEDR). The receiver based routing is considered in order to conserve battery power and the high residual energy results in increased lifetime of the sensor nodes. The work explains how the node deployment takes place randomly with self-motivated nature of nodes and the energy consumption for deployment of nodes. The target detection is made from the receiver side instead of sender side to manage the control packets and thus control the energy consumption in the network. The results demonstrate the node deployment and the route establishment from the receiver side.

Rectangular microstrip patch antenna for wireless fidelity application: Design of a Wi-Fi antenna using the concept of metamaterials 用于无线保真应用的矩形微带贴片天线:利用超材料的概念设计Wi-Fi天线

In the present paper, the effectiveness of a EBG has been tagged with a Conventional Antenna to enhance its overall characteristics that mainly includes out Bandwidth, Reflection Coefficient, Directivity, Gain and Power Handling Capability etc. which is a must for the sustainability of Wireless Fidelity (Wi-Fi) Application. Initially a Rectangular Microstrip Patch Antenna of size 76×58 mm2 has been designed to operate in Wi-Fi band using FR-4 as a substrate. After that, the involvement of EBG structure as a constituent part of Metamaterials, which is incorporated in it resulting out in the formation of Metamaterial Antenna. In order to highlight main briefing's, the Comparative Analysis between the two Antennas is tabulated, which states out its sustainability for Wireless Communication Domain. Here the simulation has been carried out by an appropriate full wave solver in a perfect environment and certain computational methods have been used which provided certain resistance to the work.
