Electronic Accounting: Electronic Journal and Ledger with Decision Support System 电子会计:带有决策支持系统的电子日记账和分类帐

Electronic Accounting: Electronic Journal and Ledger with Decision Support System will provide a customized Electronic Accounting: Journal and Ledger system that is more reliable, more efficient, and can easily produce reports of the transactions in Tabontabon LGU. The Electronic Accounting is essential for LGU’s and companies not only to record and track what events are happening or what events have happened in the past, they are also one of the most important tools for management to predict the financial future of a firm and take according actions.This study reflects about the current and future role of Accounting System for municipalities by analyzing the main responsibilities of accountants and financial professionals.The researchers use the Rapid Application Development Model of Systems Development Life Cycle in software development methodology. The concept of RAD emphasizes the fast and iterative release of prototypes and applications. The researchers conducted a series of interview, analyze the gathered data and present the design and functionality of the system accordingly in which the respondents test and use the system resulted with a positive remark that the developed Electronic Accounting software was educational and can be implemented.It is concluded that the developed Electronic Accounting: Electronic Journal and Ledger with Decision Support really achieved the objectives in innovating the functions of accounting personnel to work easier and faster. The system functions smoothly in executing reliable reports and processes.

Power Conditioning System for Computer Laboratories or Data Centers 计算机实验室或数据中心电源调节系统

In this study, the researchers focus in the modeling of the Harmonic Behavior in the Computer Laboratory and the proposed Design of the Power Conditioning System of the Computer Laboratory. The study was conducted in a manner of instrumentation survey and by gathering technical data and load analysis. Technical concepts, theories and their application to signals and signal processing guided this study on the technical feasibility of the design.Results from the study shows that the Computer Laboratory of the college is paying unwanted energy and is at risk of overloading its electrical distribution wirings. A model of the degree of pollution of this unwanted energy which is the harmonic current was developed in the study. Analysis of several mitigation methods was also presented, that gave insights on the viability and economic aspect of the design.Furthermore, the study recommends appropriate action for the installation of the power conditioning system for the Computer Laboratory which could also be adopted by data centers. The emphasis lies not only on the saving that a computer laboratory/data center can obtain but also to the longevity of electrical and electronic equipment and safety welfare of the personnel’s working in the premises.

Classification of Confusion Level Using EEG Data and Artificial Neural Networks 基于脑电数据和人工神经网络的混淆程度分类

the purpose of this study is to create an artificial neural network (ANN) that can classify a person’s level of confusion using Electroencephalography (EEG) data, more specifically, using the power spectrum of all the brain wave frequencies. This could help people in understanding the complicated mechanisms present in the brain, including the role that each specific brain wave signal plays in the formation of different cognitive activities in one’s mind such as confusion and workload. This study is categorized as a cognitive-affective state research, inspired by its current possible application to different existing societal fields such as education and gaming industries. The processing platforms used to process and interpret the dataset used in this research are Microsoft Excel and MATLAB software, applying frequency-based analysis and standard averaging methods fit for EEG data classification and artificial neural network modeling.

Blockchain technology in the Philippines: Status, trends, and ways forward 菲律宾的区块链技术:现状、趋势和前进方向

The Fourth Industrial Revolution has prompted firms across the globe to take advantage of the key technologies including blockchain to ensure that their competitive advantage is maintained with respect to their peers in the network. Blockchain technology has been widely used to promote a system that allows digital information to be distributed only to those which information is intended. Aside from that, blockchain technology enables trust, reliability, and transparency, to name a few, to all its users within the network particularly due to the influence of cryptography. The Philippines is currently underway to catching up with the technological changes in order to improve, at least maintain, its status in the global competition. This paper is directed to provide the current state of blockchain technology and its trends in both the global and local context. Moreover, the position of the country with respect to the probable adoption of blockchain technology nationally is also explored.

Foreground Background Separation Using Genetic Algorithm 基于遗传算法的前景背景分离

Foreground background separation has become a significant factor in image processing for the past few years due to its many applications in the field of computer vision. In most researches, subtraction of images is used in the detection of foreground objects in an image. In this paper, the subtraction process will be substituted with a simple thresholding determined by genetic algorithm. Genetic algorithm solves for the ideal threshold that will be eventually used in classifying the pixels of an image is part of the foreground or the background. Erosion and dilation are other operations and processes used to come up with foreground objects.This study is part of a bigger research that aims to understand chicken’s behavioral patterns in a poultry set-up. The whole system has three main processes namely: genetic algorithm for determining the threshold, classification of pixels and object detection.

Automated Greenhouse Vertical Farming With Wind and Solar Hybrid Power System 采用风能和太阳能混合动力系统的自动化温室垂直农业

Greenhouse is a structure with walls and roof made chiefly of transparent materials, in which plants requiring controlled climatic conditions are grown. Also, this requires human care and assistance to be able to perform some significant greenhouse processes such as irrigation and ventilation, for continuous operation. In order to achieve such goal to the fullest and minimize manpower support and intervention, it is best to make the greenhouse fully automated. It is provided with an integrated temperature control system for its ventilation to maintain the desired temperature needed by the plant. The watering system has been constructed with submersible pump that pumps water from the water reservoir up to the water piping system and the water flows down to the different vertical plant mount tubings that contain the different plants. Finally, the water returns to the reservoir it came from and it is being conserved. The irrigation system is also provided by a timer for the necessary watering requirement. The greenhouse has an off-grid power system, which is solar, and wind powered, and can stand alone. Finally, it uses vertical farming technology that increases plant production several time for a given land area as compared to the conventional. With the developed system, this improves the quality of crops.

Factors Affecting 3D Reconstruction of Micro Aerial Vehicles 影响微型飞行器三维重建的因素

Micro Aerial Vehicles (MAVs) have created a great impact in robotics research particularly in aerial robotics. Different studies have been done incorporating either single or mutliple quadrotors in their work. Typically, studies with single quadrotor uses onboard computing, contains high powered sensors like Laser Range Finders (LRF), and often are big. In the contrary, smaller quadrotors doesn’t have the capacity to do those though it can handle low powered sensors and devices. With these limits, the study sought for the possibility of applying collaborative mapping in the 3D reconstruction by analyzing the factors affecting it such as number of quadrotors, varying height, and formations. Here, we have found that the number of points, the Mean Reprojection Error (MRE), and the number of observations changes significantly depending on the type of formation used.

Typically, studies with single quadrotor uses onboard computing, contains high powered sensors like Laser Range Finders (LRF), and often are big. In the contrary, smaller quadrotors doesn’t have the capacity to do those though it can handle low powered sensors and devices. With these limits, the study sought for the possibility of applying collaborative mapping in the 3D reconstruction by analyzing the factors affecting it such as number of quadrotors, varying height, and formations. Automated Human Identification through Dental Image Enhancement and Analysis 通过牙齿图像增强和分析自动识别人类

Every individual has a unique identity like dental feature in which variations in tooth morphology, size, shape, missing tooth, and other characteristics are known. Hence, when uncovering a person’s identity, developing a dental profile based on the body at hand is an accurate start. However, dental profiling requires the use of radiography, which is proven to be harmful to the forensic dentist (and a living patient). This study attempted to develop a complete identification system that will aid in dental forensics without the use of radiation. The researchers used the Recurrent Neural Network (RNN) for machine learning wherein a feature vector is to be classified. An imaging device was also developed to capture the teeth of a person with the use of USB Camera, and a database of stitched, enhanced, and analyzed dental images using Image Stitching with OpenCV, Contrast Limited Adaptive Histogram Equalization and Smith Waterman Algorithms. The images were analyzed using Adaptive Harris Corner Detection Algorithm, which in turn identifies a person through the enhanced and analyzed top view images of the teeth in upper and lower jaw. The computed reliability from the matched and mismatched data is 83.33% and the computed accuracy for the ability of the program to compute the correct area is 94.8393%. Future studies may explore other factors as key points aside from tooth area.

Optimization of the Bulk Specific Gravity of Plastic Waste Bituminuous Binder using Box-Behnken Design 用Box-Behnken设计优化塑料废沥青粘结剂的体积比重

Waste management and disposal has been an increasing challenge for various industries. Of the wastes that are abundant in the community, plastics prove to be a major problem posing threats to the environment and societal health. As an outright solution, recycling and incorporating plastics to numerous construction materials have been explored in various studies for their potential improvement. This paper aims to generate a mathematical model that predicts the interaction among significant parameters such as plastic concentration added in the mixture, mixing temperature, and plastic particle diameter, and produce the optimum bulk specific gravity of the Plastic Waste Bituminous Binder (PWBB) in hot mix asphalt using the Box-Behnken Design (BBD) of the Response Surface Methodology (RSM) via Sigma XL software. Experimental results show that the multi-linear regression model obtained a correlation coefficient of 0.9878, indicating that the probability plot of the residuals fits the regression line. Ultimately, for the output of the optimization, it was found out that the model with a combination of 7.43 mm particle size, 8.32% concentration of plastic added at 160C yields the maximum bulk specific gravity of 2.52.

Multi-Layered Artificial Neural Network Flood Prediction System with Rain Gauge, Temperature Humidity Pressure Sensor, Ultrasonic Sensor, Soil Moisture Sensor and Anemometer 包含雨量计、温湿度压力传感器、超声波传感器、土壤湿度传感器和风速计的多层人工神经网络洪水预报系统

Located near the Pacific Ocean, Philippines is along in one of the places regarded as a Typhoon Belt having an average of 19 to 20 tropical cyclones occurring every year. These tropical cyclones leave a devastating effect especially to properties, infrastructures and lives of the people. The development of a system that can predict the flood level based on different weather parameters such as ambient temperature, relative humidity, barometric pressure and wind speed integrated with rain gauge, soil moisture sensor and water level sensor were conducted in this study. MATLAB Neural Network Tool was used to develop the Multi-Layer Artificial Neural Network prediction model whose inputs were based on different weather data values from the sensors and targets the water level data as the output. Upon development of the model using MATLAB, the training, test and validation datasets which was divided into 70%, 15% and 15% of the data shows a goodness- of-fit of 0.93868, 0.94381 and 0.95607 respectively. The weights and biases of the prediction model were then integrated to the system and was tested yielding to an RMSD value of 5.6349.
