Load Tests of the Renal form of Primary Hyperparathyroidism in Children 儿童原发性甲状旁腺功能亢进肾型负荷试验

After the introduction of calcium chloride (12.4 mg/kg) examined the levels in the blood at 20 and 120 minutes. The calcium content in a comparison group of children after 120 minutes returned to the baseline, in patients with a renal form of primary hyperparathyroidism its level was greater than 1.3 times. The test was sensitive and provided an opportunity to reveal hypercalcemia in 39 children who had been the normo[1]and hypocalcemia. The impaired renal function had no effect on the significance of the test. Osmotic hypertension develops under the influence of hypertonic sodium chloride. In osmotic diuresis, the excretions of calcium and sodium cations are interdependent. Increasing sodium in the loops of Henle and distal renal tubules stimulates sodium excretion, decreased reabsorption, which leads to increased levels of calcium in the daily urine in children with primary hyperparathyroidism. Test with sodium chloride made it possible to detect hypercalciuria in 12 (21.43%) children who have had normal levels of calcium in urine.

To compare plating versus clavicle pin in the management of clavicle fracture. Eighty- four adult patient in age ranged 24- 60 years of either gender with mid-shaft clavicle fracture were randomly divided into 2 groups of 42 each. Group I patients were treated with clavicle pins and group II with plating. Parameters such as ASES score subjective, objective, constant score subjective, objective and complications of each method was recorded. There were 22 males and 20 females in group I and 24 males and 18 females in group II. ASES score subjective pain value found to be 9.8 in group I and 9.0 in group II. Activity score found to be 29.7 in group I and 28.3 in group II. ASES score objective range of motion found to be 40 in group I and 39.2 in group II. Strength was 20 each in both groups. Constant score subjective was 34.4 in group I and 32.1 in group II. Constant score objective was 63.5 in group I and 61.9 in group II. A significant difference was observed (P< 0.05). Result of the study demonstrated that clavicle pinning resulted in excellent functional outcomes.

To date, methods of prevention and treatment of coronavirus infections have not been developed in essence. One of the reasons for this situation may be the peculiarities of the pathogenesis of coronavirus infection and the rapid development of the pandemic, which could hinder the effectiveness of ongoing research. As with any viral infection, with the development and spread of the inflammatory process, viremia develops, that is, the generalization of infection, cytokine secretion becomes uncontrolled, and the concentration of IFNy, IL-1, IL-6, IL-12 in the blood serum significantly increases, in other words, the primary inflammatory reaction enters a new phase — the cytokine storm phase, which manifests itself violently even according to clinical and laboratory parameters. In this regard, adequate therapy aimed at stopping the uncontrolled process induced not so much by viremia as by the associated inflammation is crucial. In this regard, the aim of our study was to study the effect of monoclonal antibodies, in particular the drug "Kazirivimab + Imdevimab"— a combination of recombinant monoclonal antibodies directed against S-protein on the clinical course and laboratory data in patients with a new coronavirus infection –Covid-19.

The purpose of this study was to study the results of the treatment of traumatic intracranial hematomas after the application of algorithms for complex diagnostics and differentiated tactics for the treatment of various types of traumatic hematomas. From 2014 to 2019, 635 patients with traumatic intracranial hematomas were examined and treated at the Republican Specialized Scientific and Practical Medical Center of Neurosurgery. In a hospital, questions of indications for surgical or conservative treatment required a unique approach based on the principles of urgency, complexity, and interconnection at all stages of treatment. The outcomes of treatment of traumatic intracranial hematomas, both surgical and conservative treatment, differ significantly not only in different periods and phases of the course of traumatic brain injury but also in the age, type of hematoma, its localization and prevalence. Application of algorithms of complex diagnostics and differentiated treatment.

Evidence Based Treatments of Alopecia Areata 斑秃的循证治疗

Androgenetic Alopecia (AGA) is considered as major non-cicatricial alopecia which causes progressive hair follicle miniaturization. To a large extent, a person's genetic makeup and hormonal environment determine whether or not their terminal scalp hairs will be transformed into vellus hairs. AGA becomes more common and commoner as people get older. AGA is a progressive disorder characterized by a shortening of the anagen phase and maintenance of the telogen phase. Females with AGA tend to see more diffuse hair loss over the head, while males with AGA tend to experience thinning near the vertex. The gold standard treatments for AGA are minoxidil (used topically) and finasteride (an oral 5α-reductase inhibitor type II inhibitor) and they are the only medications accepted by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) to date. The success of existing therapy for AGA is frequently questioned, making the discovery of new therapeutics for this illness of critical importance. In an effort to slow the disease's course and boost its outcomes, this article will examine the causes and diagnostic tools used to identify AGA.

Abstract Background Gentrification is a type of neighborhood change (NC) that causes demographic shifts and improvement in the built environment. Adverse health outcomes associated with NC have not been consistently established in the literature. Yet, major methodological barriers define this field of study including lack of tailored and culturally relevant measures. This aim of this study was to assess the psychometric properties of novel and adapted NC measures that sought to improve appropriateness for all literacy levels, to enhance survey efficiency, and to assess features of the built environment. Methods We conducted a cross-sectional study in a highly gentrifying neighborhood in Washington, DC using 17 scales and indexes on neighborhood attachment, effects on family/friends, perceived impact on certain population, and assessment of intensity of NC. We assessed reliability and validity to include tests of internal consistency, split-half reliability testing, and correlation analyses. We sought dimension reduction through factor analysis to understand areas of NC. Results The analytic sample included 146 respondents. The multiitem scales — Neighborhood Attachment (NA), Ability to Influence Neighborhood Change (AINC), and Heightened Perceptions of Neighborhood Change (HPNC) — performed well based on reliability and validity analyses. The factors analysis resulted in three components on NC: positive perceptions of NC, social dimension of NC, and NC change intensity and decline. Discussion Given the promising psychometric quality of measures, this study opens new pathways for conducting gentrification health research by providing new tools and methods for tailoring.
