Dr. G. Perrotta
Starting from the general concept of "bipolarity", the present work focuses on the essential aspects of the disorder defining the clinical and diagnostic contexts, laying the foundations for correct differential diagnosis, without neglecting the neural characteristics elaborated in the scientific community. The discussion concludes with the best therapeutic approaches suggested on the subject., hypothesizing that borderline disorder may be the evolution of bipolar disorder.

PEN vs. COMPUTER - how to write by hand improves memory and creativity

The pen is one of the many channels for transforming thoughts into written words. Handwriting acts as a "memory propeller". For example, when you are at the supermarket, the simple act of writing keeps the products you really need in your mind; or when someone at school was a shrewd knows that very often there was no need to use the sheets prepared before a class assignment to copy because they remembered everything that was written.

Prevalence and Clinical Features of Seizure Attacks in Psychiatric Wards: A Local Review

Introduction: Behavioral and cognitive dysfunction is frequently observed in patients with recurrent seizures and represents an important challenge in treating these patients. In the present assessment the incidence and clinical profile of seizure attacks have been probed among a great sample of non-western psychiatric inpatients and compared with the available data in literature regarding prevalence and other associated clinical physiognomies Methods: All inpatients that had suffered seizure attack during the last sixty-four months had been included in the present study. Clinical diagnosis, as well, was in essence based on Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders, 5th edition (DSM-5). Results: While epilepsy had been identified as the primary cause of seizure (82.92%), 17.64% of them had experienced their first attacks during hospitalization. Annual incidence of seizure in psychiatric iseizure; epilepsy; schizophrenia; mood disorder; neuropsychiatry.npatients, on the whole, was around 0.07%. It was almost 0.06 in identified epileptic cases and about 0.01% with respect to the first time unprovoked epileptic attack. Also, the seizure attacks were significantly more prevalent among male psychiatric inpatients than female patients. Schizophrenia and bipolar disorder were significantly more prevalent than substance abuse, schizoaffective and depression, as comorbid psychiatric disorders among patients who had suffered seizure attacks, generally, and known cases of epilepsy, particularly. Conclusion: While, etiologically, epilepsy had been identified as the primary cause of seizure in psychiatric inpatients, schizophrenia and bipolar disorder were significantly more prevalent, as comorbid psychiatric disorders, in comparison with other primary psychiatric illnesses. Male gender, as well, could be considered as a risk factor.

Starting from the definition analysis of Parkinson's disorder, we proceeded to study the clinical, psychological and socio-environmental context, to better analyze the intrinsic and extrinsic aspects of this chronic progressive neurodegenerative pathology, placing emphasis also on secondary forms. The present contribution focuses in particular on all the most significant elements, also from an etiological and neurobiological point of view, in order to present the best therapies and treatments known today in medical and neuropsychotherapeutic profiles.

The Psychopathological Profile of the Biblical God Called Yhwh (Yahweh): A Psychological Investigation Into the Behaviour of The Judaic-Christian God Described in The Biblical Old Testament..

Starting from the figure of the Jewish-Christian and biblical ancient-testamentary God YHWH (Yahweh), now become the one and true God, omniscient and omnipresent, for Judaism and religions of Christian origin, through the manipulation of the "sacred" text and the historical facts narrated, the present study deals with the thorny question of the psychopathological profile of this very controversial figure. The aim is to define the general framework, in order to trace a psychopathological profile consistent with the letter of the first Jewish-Christian texts: a path that will accompany the reader to recognize the pathological traits of the narcissistic personality of a "war man", falsely transformed from theology to a good, just and merciful "God".

A Sudden Rise In Suicide In Students In Pakistan
Pub Date : 2019-09-20 DOI: 10.31579/2578-8868/082
Shahzain Hasan
Depression is the leading cause of mental and physical disability worldwide. Around 300 million people are currently living with depression, an increase of more than 18% between 2005 and 2015. [1] Major Depressive Disorder (MDD) represents the classic condition in the group of depressive disorders, involving episodes of clear cut changes in affect, cognition and neurovegetative conditions and interepisode remission, occurring most of the day, every day for at least 2 weeks’ duration [2], affecting a person’s ability to function at work and at home. One of the symptoms of MDD is suicidal ideation. Many people die because of suicide every year and the number are large in teens and college students, risk factors for which include depression and other mental disorders and substance use. Most common technique used is the use of fire-arms in both sexes, males however are more successful.

Scientific and Philosophical Concept of Unity of The Universe
Pub Date : 2019-09-18 DOI: 10.31579/2578-8868/085
Vahram R Sargsyan
This paper proposes a new scientific and philosophical concept of the unity of the universe. The concept is based on new biological theories (13 viral theories and one genetic theory) developed in 2018 - 2019 in Yerevan. The issues of materialism, idealism and dualism are discussed. And also the question of the primacy of matter and consciousness is analyzed. This is very important for a correct understanding of the processes occurring in the brain and the formation of the higher nervous activity of a person.

Differences Between a Birth Trauma and Compression Hypoxia
Pub Date : 2019-09-18 DOI: 10.31579/2578-8868/081
V. Vlasyuk
For a long time there is a problem of separation of hypoxia (asphyxia) and birth trauma. To resolve it, it is necessary to recognize this type of lesion as “compression hypoxia” and share it with a birth trauma. Morphological signs of differences between compression hypoxia and birth trauma, two forms of lesions caused by head compression, are given. The causes of death in birth trauma of the skull and the causes of intrapartum hypoxia are described. It has been shown that in many intranatally deceased children and newborns, intradural hemorrhages in the cerebellum are known, indicating head compression during labor.
