On a mis en evidence l'effet Hall dans un cristal moleculaire. Les mobilites de Hall sont de l'ordre de 100 cm2/Vs entre 400 et 600° K, les porteurs etant des trous. Ceci fournit un argument pour penser que la theorie usuelle des semiconducteurs, c'est a dire le modele des porteurs libres dans des bandes d'energie, est applicable dans au moins certains cristaux moleculaires. The Hall effect has been measured in a molecular crystal, in the temperature range 400–600° K. The Hall mobility is of the order of 100 cm2/Vs. The charge carriers are holes. This result shows that the usual model of free carriers in energy bands can be applied to some molecular crystals.
