Synergistic governance, integrating financial and IT governance for enhanced institutional performance: Systematic review for future path 协同治理,整合财务和IT治理以提高机构绩效:未来路径的系统审查

This paper systematically reviews the available empirical insights on the interplay between financial governance and information technology governance and their impact on the performance of institutions in digital-intensive sectors. Using a structured search approach among the 2015–2024 periods, forty-six empirical studies were retrieved and assessed through a qualitative meta-synthesis using bibliometric and text-mining analyses. The findings show that the synergy between financial governance structures and mechanisms, such as governance indices, and IT governance structures and frameworks, such as COBIT, committees, and boards’ IT competencies, and other related variables, forms an architecture that has the ability to leverage performance. Through the forty-six studies, there was consistency in the performance gains through the synergy of the governance structures and variables. These performance gains include better financial performance, better organizational ability, and better digital performance. The findings further explain that classical financial controls rely on IT-enabled structures in their continued aims for transparency and quality in management and decision-making. There exists an unfulfilled knowledge gap in the studies concerning the possible relation between the performance measures in financial governance and IT governance. In an effort to develop and provide a meta-synthesis approach, the paper recommends the “Synergistic Governance Mechanism Model” and proposes five clusters, namely, “structural oversight, risk and compliance, information integrity, alignment and strategic integration, and dynamic capability” that addresses the synergy between performance and the five proposed clusters. The model and the approach help in the development and awareness pertinent to the synergy approach on governance. The paper develops the theory on the synergy approach and addresses the need for specialization in the domain. The paper aims to inspire and recommend the development and implementation process using the synergy approach. Upcoming studies should explore the different domain studies using the approach. The studies aiming to create awareness and the need for development should contain evidence beyond 2023. The need and development in the paper are and should be measurable.

Integration of virtual reality technology and deep learning in mathematics research and education: A creative bibliometric analysis 虚拟现实技术与深度学习在数学研究和教育中的整合:一个创造性的文献计量分析

The development of virtual reality (VR) technology has provided many new opportunities in education, particularly in mathematics education. The integration of VR has sparked scientific interest in creating deep learning (DL) for students. This study focused on a bibliometric analysis of the integration of VR and DL in mathematics education between January 1, 2010, and March 1, 2025. From an initial identification of 237 articles, the application of stringent search criteria resulted in 171 articles for in-depth analysis. Article screening in this bibliometric analysis was based on inclusive and exclusive criteria. A systematic literature review analysis was conducted using the ScienceDirect and Scopus databases through the PRISMA method. The data was analyzed through a creative bibliometric analysis approach using Biblioshiny (version 4.2.2), RStudio (version 4.3.2), Microsoft Excel (Microsoft 365), and VOSViewer (version 1.6.20) tools. The results of the bibliometric analysis showed essential themes related to VR and DL, which presented a comprehensive view through tables, graphs, and maps. In addition, this study investigated key indicators related to the implications of VR and DL on mathematics education, article production, and citation rates. As seen from the results of this study, utilizing the virtual environment of VR and following the guidance of the DL model can be a practical solution in mathematics learning. This study provides significant methodological insights for researchers to advance studies on integrating VR and DL in mathematics education, supporting further research.

Low-stakes assessments in secondary and further education schools: A systematic literature review 中学和继续教育学校的低风险评估:系统的文献综述

The school system uses assessments as a means of grading students. However, there have been limited studies that show the extent to which this has been evidenced in the literature. The purpose of this review is to investigate the literature on how low-stakes assessments support students for better exam outcomes. This study will provide educators and practitioners with well-researched resources that can be accessed to demonstrate the relevance of low-stakes assessments towards overall student exam outcomes in achieving quality education. The design for this systematic literature review is based on bibliometric and content analysis of peer-reviewed papers. This systematic literature review investigates evidence from the literature by examining 23 peer-reviewed articles focused on low-stakes assessments in secondary and further education schools, drawn from 20 journals with contributing authors from countries on 4 continents of the world. The results from this study show that a correlation exists between students' low-stakes test-taking efforts and exam outcomes. However, it should be mentioned that the results of this study do not capture all aspects of low-stakes assessment due to the limited number of peer-reviewed articles examined. Also, the inclusion criteria did not include the impact of low-stakes assessment in a broader sense to include all tiers of learning. Hence, future studies should consider more tiers of learning and incorporate more studies with valid and reliable evidence. The findings from this study will inform lesson planning and curriculum development, thereby equipping teachers with empirically tested evidence for the use of low-stakes assessments during lessons.

The relationship between workplace ostracism and counterproductive knowledge behavior: An integrative literature review using transaction model of stress and coping 职场排斥与反生产知识行为的关系:基于压力与应对交易模型的综合文献综述

This study aims to provide an integrated theoretical framework that explains the relationship between workplace ostracism and counterproductive knowledge behavior (CKB) by systematically organizing existing mediators and moderators within the Transactional Model of Stress and Coping. A systematic search was conducted using databases including Web of Science, Scopus, Science Direct, and Google Scholar to identify relevant empirical studies. An integrated literature review of 20 empirical articles was undertaken, focusing on the mechanisms and boundary conditions that shape the workplace ostracism–CKB link. The review reveals that employees perceive workplace ostracism as a significant threat to their overall well-being. Personal and situational factors act as moderators that influence how individuals appraise ostracism and select coping strategies. These coping processes, activated in response to perceived threat, often manifest as counterproductive knowledge behaviors. The findings underscore the interplay between appraisal stages, coping resources, and behavioral outcomes.

AI writing tools in English writing: Reviewing teachers' and students’ views on benefits and concerns 英语写作中的人工智能写作工具:回顾教师和学生对利益和关注点的看法

The present narrative review synthesizes the teachers' and learners' positive and negative perspectives regarding the use of AI tools in English writing within EFL/ESL contexts. The methodology follows an inclusion-exclusion criterion with a PRISMA flow diagram. A total of 28 peer-reviewed studies published between 2020 and 2025 were included from the SCOPUS/Web of Science (27) and Google Scholar (1) databases. For deductive thematic analysis, a combined framework consisting of Technological Pedagogical Content Knowledge (TPACK), Self-Regulated Learning (SLR), and Vygotsky's scaffolding theory is utilized as lenses. This study predefines ten positive themes as well as two negative themes. In the findings section, the study narrates the themes, like the pedagogical benefits of AI tools, including enhanced feedback, goal-setting, and student motivation, along with challenges such as over-reliance on AI and ethical concerns.

This study examines the impacts of employer brand and organizational identification on employer image, enhancing organizational attractiveness. Additionally, the moderating effect of consciousness on social identity is investigated in the transmission of employer image to organizational attractiveness. In the modern job market, where Generation Y and Generation Z dominate, organizations face increasing pressure to stand out as desirable employers. Through Signaling Theory and Social Identity Theory, this research examines how organizations convey their organizational identity, employer brand, and employer image to attract potential candidates. Social identity consciousness is introduced as a key moderating variable that influences how candidates perceive and respond to these organizational signals. The article employs bibliometric techniques and quantitative analysis methods, utilizing SmartPLS 4 software. The findings underscore the importance of organizations considering candidates' social identity consciousness when developing their identity and values to attract top talent. This research offers insight into how organizations can effectively manage their image and brand to enhance their attractiveness in a competitive employment context.

This study presents the development and validation of the AI Literacy Self-Assessment Questionnaire (AIL-SAQ) for upper primary school students. The instrument, based on established AI literacy frameworks, measures three dimensions: Learning About AI, Learning About How AI Works, and Learning for Life with AI. Study 1 (n = 335) employed Exploratory Factor Analysis to explore a three-factor structure. Study 2 (n = 579) used Confirmatory Factor Analysis, revealing excellent model fit (χ2 = 105.066, df = 87, p = .091, CFI = .994, TLI = .993, RMSEA = .019, SRMR = .022) and high internal consistency (Cronbach's α = .934). Marriage remains a critical as well as sacred institution in India, with arranged marriages continuing as a dominant practice. Newspapers, with a readership exceeding 425 million, serve as a primary medium for matrimonial advertisements and thus provide an effective data source for analyzing social preferences. One recurring attribute in these advertisements is the emphasis on fair skin, historically associated with caste, class, and socio-economic advantage. Despite globalization and technological change, this preference persists, often reinforced by media and market dynamics. This paper presents a computational analysis of matrimonial advertisements collected from 30 newspapers in multiple Indian languages over the period 2010–2024. A web-scraper was designed to construct a structured database of advertisements, followed by query-based text analytics for extracting and categorizing skin-colour references. A pseudo-code description of the framework is provided to detail the methodological workflow. Temporal frequency distributions and keyword analyses were generated to examine longitudinal trends in the expression of skin-color preference. The results indicate a consistent and significant bias toward fair skin descriptors throughout the study period, with limited evidence of decline despite broader sociocultural shifts. The findings highlight how entrenched cultural norms, amplified by market influences, continue to govern partner selection criteria in India. This study demonstrates the value of applying large-scale text analytics to traditional print media for uncovering persistent socio-cultural patterns.

Topic modelling and thematic analysis of research gaps and methodological innovations in rural sociology: A systematic review 农村社会学的主题建模与专题分析:研究缺口与方法创新的系统回顾

Rural sociology, shaped by enduring global forces such as globalisation, sustainability, and community resilience, continues to evolve as these themes remain central to understanding rural life. This study systematically reviews research from 2016 to 2024, employing bibliometric tools, topic modelling, and thematic analysis to assess current trends, influential works, and emerging themes in the field. Results indicate a significant reliance on case study methods, with Social Case Studies with Policy Implications showing an 82 % dominance. Meanwhile, Urban & Rural Comparative Studies reveal a growing adoption of machine learning methodologies (67 %), indicating an increasing integration of advanced analytical techniques. The use of case studies remained consistently high, ranging from 60 % to 85 % annually, while machine learning and regression techniques have shown a notable increase after 2020, reaching 15 % by 2024. This shift suggests a gradual adaptation to technological advances and improved data availability. International collaboration is also increasing, with 29.13 % of documents featuring co-authorships from multiple countries, though significant geographic disparities persist. The conclusions emphasise the importance of inclusive research practices, expanded mixed methods approaches, and greater attention to underrepresented regions. This study provides a foundation for future research by identifying existing methodological gaps and encouraging more diverse research collaborations to effectively address the complex dynamics of rural sociology.

Enhancing governance and performance in Nigerian higher education through AI-driven digital transformation: Insights from stakeholder perspectives 通过人工智能驱动的数字化转型加强尼日利亚高等教育的治理和绩效:来自利益相关者视角的见解

Digital transformation is critical for strengthening governance and improving performance in Nigeria's higher education institutions (HEIs). However, persistent gaps in digital skills, infrastructure, and policy implementation continue to hinder progress. This study investigates these challenges and examines how AI-enabled digital tools can enhance governance, institutional effectiveness, and sustainable education management (SEM). Using a qualitative research design, the study drew on interviews with 21 key stakeholders including university administrators, ICT personnel, policymakers, and student leaders supplemented by documentary and policy analysis. Data were analyzed using interpretative phenomenological analysis and thematic procedures to capture lived experiences and institutional practices related to digital transformation. Findings reveal four dominant issues: inadequate digital literacy among staff, weak governance implementation structures, limited readiness for AI adoption, and significant infrastructural deficits. While participants acknowledged the potential of AI to improve administrative efficiency, decision-making, and academic processes, they also raised concerns about job displacement, ethical risks, and regulatory gaps. To address these challenges, the study proposes the AI-Driven Staff Training Modules and Performance Appraisal (AI-STMsPA) framework, designed to strengthen staff digital skills, promote transparent HR processes, and support sustainable higher education governance. Overall, the study demonstrates that effective digital transformation in Nigerian HEIs requires coordinated interventions that integrate capacity building, ethical AI governance, infrastructure development, and inclusive policy implementation. These insights contribute to achieving Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) 4, 8, 9, and 16 by promoting quality education, decent work, innovation, and strong institutions.
