(p<0,001). ABSTRACT Objective : To evaluate the impact of a telemonitoring nursing intervention on pain management and functionality of rheumatoid arthritis patients. Method : A retrospective study conducted as secondary analysis of an electronic database with 744 cases of rheumatoid arthritis. The nursing intervention was applied during 6 months and used telephone educational strategies. The continuous variables were compared by Paired T-Test, and the categorical variables were analyzed by the McNemar-Bowker Test. Results : Significant decrease in pain intensity (p<0.001) and significant increase in functionality (p<0.001) were verified. It was observed reduction of the number of cases of intense and moderate pain, as well as an increase in the number of cases of no pain or slight pain (p<0.001). Furthermore, there was a reduction in the number of sedentary patients and an increase of the number of patients who practice physical activities more than twice a week (p<0.001). Conclusions : The telephone nursing educational intervention showed a positive impact on pain management and functionality, and contributed to increase the practice of regular physical activity. Se observó una reducción en la cantidad de casos de dolor intenso y moderado y un aumento en la de casos de dolor ausente o leve (p<0,001). Además, se detectó una reducción en el número de pacientes sedentarios y un incremento en la cantidad de pacientes que practican actividad física más de dos veces por semana (p<0,001). Objective: To identify the use of Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) to teach about pain and the methods for offering ICTs to students and health professionals. Method: This is a scoping review. The literature search was conducted in January 2019 on PubMed, CINAHL, Scopus and VHL databases. Results: 717 references were reviewed, of which 34 studies were included. There was a prevalence of courses tailored to nurses and nursing students. Courses mainly focused on pain in adults and were comprised of games, videos, simulations, and images. In general, positive feedback was provided by users. Conclusion: The literature describes a limited amount of pain-related ICT. Results from this review indicated benefits related to using ICT in pain education and training, as well as broad acceptance by users. The use of ICT is an innovative alternative for health education and training for pain teaching and other specialties. la literatura, los resultados indicaron beneficios resultantes del empleo de TIC en la educación y capacitación en dolor, además de amplia aceptación por los usuarios. Objective: To describe the alumni of the teaching credential in nursing program from the School of Nursing of the University of São Paulo and their employability, and to explore their perspectives about the course. This is an exploratory, descriptive, and quantitative study. Results: A total of 66 alumni from the teaching credential in nursing program who graduated between 2002 and 2017 participated in the study. Data collection were performed by using an electronic form. Participants were mainly female, single, childless, with an income between 7 to 10 minimum wages. The majority of the alumni concluded the course in 4 to 5 years (69.7%). Some of the alumni experienced teaching activities (38%) and seven (10.6%) participants described teaching as being their main current professional activity. Conclusion: Participants reported weaknesses regarding the clinical internship, as well as the lack of articulation among the disciplines. According to the alumni, the program generates professional autonomy, which empowers the profession. Although teaching was described as the second most commonly professional activity performed by the alumni, the program is considered fundamental for personal and professional development.

We present an analysis based on the systemic idea where production, dissemination and utilization are constituting elements of knowledge, interdependent, allowing, in a global approach, identification of the interactions and areas of intersection. Each part, with its specific dynamism, interacts with the others, creating areas which contribute to growth. The concomitant intersection of the parts is characterized as the essence of knowledge and the dynamics of these seek the equifinality of the system: the incorporation of knowledge to practice.

An exploratory study of the research carried out by nurses belonging to the Brazilian Nursing Association from 1985 to 1988 was conducted with following objectives: to analyze the characteristics of the scientific production of nurses; to identify the forms of dissemination of these studies, and to determine the expectations of nurses with respect to the Center of Nursing Studies and Research "Centro de Estudos e Pesquisas em Enfermagem" (CEPEn). Scientific papers, reports of experience, theses and monographs predominated in the production identified. The forms of dissemination most frequently mentioned were scientific events and publication in Brazilian journals. The suggestions presented to CEPEn point at the need of promoting events, courses, research meetings, research dissemination and consulting on projects.
