The purpose of this article is to determine the influence of the type of fibers on fracture parameters of high performance concrete (HPC). In this study there were two types of coarse aggregate used: granite and granodiorite with a grain size of about 2/8 mm. Experimental tests were performed on cubic samples, cylinders and notched beams. In the concrete of FRC type, 0.5 and 0.75% of steel fibers and 0.5 and 0.25% of polypropylene fibers respectively, were added. Mean strengths and standard deviations for compression, splitting tensile strength, mean static modulus of elasticity and mean fracture energy were determined. Experimental studies in the 1st fracture model showed that the HPC without the addition of fibers (C), was characterized by brittleness, and fiber concrete (FRC) was more ductile. Fibers were bridging the cracks during loading, delayed hairline cracks and prevented the notched beams from breaking. The shape of the descending curve of the load-deflection depended on the geometry and mechanical properties and the quantity of the fibers used, and in the case of HPC without fiber, on the type of coarse aggregate. In the case of granodiorite aggregate, better mechanical parameters of concrete were observed.

In this paper, a method for preparation of high purity tetraaminenickel(II) perrhenate is presented. This method comprises reacting of a concentrated solution of ammonia water with high purity anhydrous nickel(II) perrhenate(VII). The resulting tetraaminenickel(II) perrhenate is reduced under dissociated ammonia conditions, to obtain Re-Ni alloy powder. The article also provides information on selected physicochemical properties of the produced powder. Such Re-Ni alloy powder can be applied for tungsten heavy alloys production.

The article presents information about the impact of electromagnetic fields’ impulses on technical infrastructure of electronic equipment and systems in intelligent buildings. The use of modern technical solutions in intelligent building management, i.e., human resources control and automation systems, efficient building space management, requires a large number of integrated electronic systems. Impulse interference, lightning or electricity as natural phenomena are among the most responsible for the occurrence of interference in buses, transmission lines systems, electrical installations, equipment 39 Impulsowe pola elektromagnetyczne a użytkowanie urządzeń i systemów elektronicznych... and electronic systems used in intelligent buildings. To a large extent, it is associated with catastrophic damages that may occur in electronic devices or in completed systems such as intelligent building, e.g. ICT, security, etc. under the influence of induced voltages and interfering signals’ currents.

The article presents application of logic 4-valuable in the process of reasoning in diagnostic systems. For this purpose, the structure of an intelligent diagnostic system (DIAG 2) is presented and defined. Its essential modules: measurement, calculation, and analysis modules (program of neural network) and diagnostic inference are described. In the literature, there is no development in the field of description and implementation of the logic of the tetravalent in diagnostic systems. The author’s works in this field are innovative ones. Noteworthy is the present diagnostic method used in the system (DIAG 2). The proposed diagnostic method (assessment of the state of the examined object) is based on a comparison of vectors of diagnostic signals with their patterns’ vectors. By comparing the signals, elementary metrics of disparity vectors of diagnostic signals are determined by the neural network. On the basis of the metrics of differential distance, the system requests for diagnostics of the state of elements of the basic object.

. Good database design practices are well-known and proven. However, when a particular base has to include also a complete history of changes introduced to the data, the project realization becomes a much more complex task. If we take into account temporal aspects, we naturally transform the relations between the interlinked objects into the relationships between the states of these objects. additionally, the possibility of various interpretations of time dependencies prevented us so far from developing a generally accepted methodology for designing temporal databases. This article is the first in a series of articles published within the framework of the work carried out on the system of the Central Register of Vehicles and Drivers (in Polish: CePiK). It presents the approach to the design of a relational database, which stores a complete history of the changes made to the states of these objects. It describes a database model, which explains in detail the influence of the changes made to the states of these objects, whilst also containing the life history of these objects and presents algorithms of the right operation modifying the state of the database. The presented approach has been used in practice to create one of CePiK’s databases. -- -- --

The paper describes problems of relations between business and iT departments of contemporary companies and institutions. The solution of these problems is changing the iT department organization into one based on processes and setting up iT services as the basic elements of business-iT relation. The author shortly described the most widely used in this area service methodology (precisely speaking: set of best practices) iTiL (information Technology infrastructure Library), which describes how to manage iT services in the organization.

The article presents dynamic mechanical analysis (DMa) for solid rocket propellants testing. Principles of operation and measured values are briefly described. The authors refer to the previous research of PtFe material and literature data providing information about proper experimental conditions and influence of measurement frequency, load amplitude, and heating rate on the results of DMa tests. The experimental results of solid double-base rocket propellant testing obtained on the netzsch DMa 242 device are presented. Mechanical properties such as the dynamic storage modulus E ́, the dynamic loss modulus E ̋ and tan(δ) were measured within temperature range from (–120°c) to (+90°c) at the heating rate of 1 k/min. The test sample was subjected to a dual cantilever multi-frequency test. special attention was paid to determination of the glass transition temperature of the tested propellant in reference to the nato standardization agreement 4540 as well as influence of the measurement frequency on the glass transition.
