Mathematical communication skills have an important role in human life because humans are social creatures who cannot live individually but always relate and need other people. This type of research is descriptive qualitative research. This study aims to determine the profile of students' mathematical communication skills on statistical material in terms of Adversity Quotient (AQ) which are climbers (high), campers (medium), and quitters (low). This research was conducted on students of class XII MIPA 1 SMA Laboratorium UPGRIS. The research subjects were 6 students consisting of 2 subjects with climbers type (high), 2 subjects with campers type (medium), and 2 subjects with quitters type (low). The instrument used in this research is the ARP Adversity Quotient questionnaire and uses a communication skill test. The data analysis technique was carried out in 3 stages, namely data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing/verification. The validity of the data using source triangulation. The results of this study indicate that (1) Subjects with the quitters type have not met all indicators of communication skills including written text, drawing, and mathematical expression; (2) Subjects with the campers type meet the indicators of mathematical communication skills, namely written text and drawing, but do not meet the indicators of mathematical expression; (3) Subjects with the climbers type fulfills all indicators of mathematical communication skills including written text, drawing, and mathematical expression.

Literary works are frequently used to express human expression through words, making literary works one of the unique mediums to express these expressions. The uniqueness lies within the language used to construct the story itself. Therefore, this study aims to uncover the factors that make a literary work great through formalism and defamiliarization theory, furthermore uncovering the impact of the factors on the story. Using a qualitative research method specifically close reading, this study describes how the strength of a short story The Tell-Tale Heart written by Edgar Allan Poe according to both formalism and defamiliarization theory can contribute to the construction of the story. The construction of the story relies on its tension which is delivered through the use of its imageries, form/structure, parallelism, etc. It can be concluded that the possession of the formalism elements helps the story to shape its nuance and its atmospheric storytelling

This study aims at finding out the kindergarten teachers’ perspectives after joining digital training of Kinesmaster application to create video of learning. This study focused on the perspectives on the digital training and the application itself. By working on description in explaining the data, this study applied descriptive qualitative design. 20 teachers of kindergarten participated in this study by selecting them randomly. To gain the data, open-ended questionnaire was given to the participants and semi-structured interview was conducted to gain deeper data. The data were analyzed by sorting the responses of each questions and then confirmed to the transcribed interview data. Based on the analysis result, it was revealed that digital training was responded positively. Most of the teachers felt good during the training. This training was also assumed to be able to improve their teaching performance and creativity. The use of Kinemaster application in the training also got good feedback. It is considered as a good, complete, and easy to use. Therefore, this training is expected to be able to make teachers meet their teaching goals.

The use of Javanese language by 10 - 11 years old children in Kendal Central Java experienced some imperfection especially from the diction, grammatical, and semantic aspects. This research took the sample from 5th grade children in SDN 3 Kutoarjo, Kendal Central Java. This research used qualititave method by describing the language aspects which were resulted by the 5th grade children in oral story by using pictorial media. The analytical technique in use was direct method which was the direct analysis on language aspects such as vocabularies, grammatical, and its meaning. The data collection was collected by recording, listening, and taking note in order to collect the representative data. According to some analysis , it could be known that in javanese language ability by the 10 to 11 years old children frequently did the imperfection, especially in vocabulary, grammatical, and meaning aspects.

The pandemic Covid-19 outbreak caused reading literacy to get less attention than the normal school condition in SMA Negeri 2 Semarang. Therefore, there should be ways to run remote reading literacy strategies. This study aimed to investigate students' perception toward a remote reading literacy strategy, particularly the reading texts, learning process, advantages and disadvantages of the remote reading literacy strategy. The population of this study was 36 students of the 12th graders in SMA Negeri 2 Semarang. The study design was qualitative descriptive. The data was collected through questionnaires and interview. Then, the data was analyzed using interpretive descriptive analysis. The specific target to be achieved in this study is that by knowing the students' perception of remote reading literacy, the result may be used to reference the English teachers to have the reading literacy in English lesson. The study results were the students' perception that they needed to read an average of five times before reading aloud the texts with the tangible pronunciation and comprehend the meaning of the new vocabularies. Moreover, they informed that the learning process was unique, promoted autonomous learning. However, the video compressing and the internet connection were challenging for the students.
