The norms of the "R" value may not be extended for other regional populations because they are based on the South Indian population group. Therefore, the goal of the current study is to determine the mean value and standard deviation for R angle in a population of North Indian suburbs for subjects with horizontal, average, and vertical growth patterns, as well as to assess its correlation with other variables used to gauge vertical discrepancy. The current cross-sectional study was carried out at the Swami Devi Dyal Dental College and Hospital, Barwala, Distt. Panchkula (Haryana), Department of Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopaedics, among 90 participants between the ages of 18 and 26 years having their pretreatment records. The parameters used in the study are R angle, Frankfort Mandibular Angle, Y- axis (Down’s Analysis), Facial axis, SOP, SNO, SNPP, MMA. The ratios analyzed in the study are Jarabak Ratio, Facial index, LAFH ratio, skeletal, LAFH, Soft tissue. The results of the study showed that high correlation was found between R angle and LAFH (Skeletal), Y Axis, Facial Axis, FMA, SNMP, Sum of posterior triangles (SOP), Maxillomandibular plane angle (MMA), SN to palatal plane angle (SNPP). A strong negative correlation was found between R angle and Jarabak ratio and facial index. There are many cephalometric parameters accessible, however not all of them point towards a certain pattern. In an effort to get around the difficulty of correctly and quickly identifying landmarks, the "R" angle was added.

IPS Emax is a lithium disilicate glass ceramic that has excellent translucency, longetivity, durability and strength for all restorations. It is a unique system that fulfills all of your patient demands for minimally invasive dentistry. It is a choice for single anterior/posterior crowns, as it truly mimics the light refraction and natural translucency necessary for outstanding esthetic appearance. Maxillary midline diastema with associated rotation of maxillary incisors presents a very challenging situation for dentist to meet the esthetic requirements. The presence of highly attached labial frenum in such patients adds to the complexity of the outcome of the treatment. Labial frenectomy done with the Laser presents a very quick and early satisfactory healing with no postoperative patient discomfort. Presenting a one such case report of rehabilitation of maxillary midline diastema with the IPS Emax ceramic laminate veneers.

The aim of this in vitro study is to compare three different techniques of scanning post space at different depths. The important factor for success of treatment depends on endodontic treatment as well as by restoring it with prosthodontic treatment. The post is mainly used to retain and hold the core so that crown prosthesis can be given. Fifteen freshly extracted single rooted teeth were selected and endodontically treated. Post space were created. Total Sample size taken was fifteen. There were three groups each with sample size of five. First group consist of Post space scanned with Omnicam intra oral scanner. Second group consist of Post space pattern scanned with InEos X5 Extraoral scanner. Third group consist of Post space impression made with Addition silicone, Poured and scanned with InEos X5 Extraoral scanner. Scanning files of all the three techniques were then converted to standard STL files. Diameter was measured at three different depths i.e., 3mm, 6mm & 9mm. Also, height & diameter was measured by 2 examiners to reduce bias. : The intra oral scanner showed the best accuracy of diameter and as the depth increases the accuracy decreases. Intraoral scanners showed the better accuracy and precision for scanning the post space as compared to extra oral scanner.

Peripheral cementifying fibroma is a relatively uncommon, solitary, nonneoplastic gingival growth. They are usually painless and are often ignored by the patient until they become symptomatic or are diagnosed by the dentist. Due to long-standing, undiagnosed lesions, ulcerations were common. A recurrence rate of 5 – 20% was seen after excision. It depends on the diagnosis, the efficacy of the surgical removal, and the reduction of local irritating factors associated with their aetiology. Histologic diagnoses for the lesions are recommended clinically; they may be similar to various lesions, but the recurrence rates may differ. This report discusses a peripheral certifying fibroma affecting the mandibular posterior region; the lesion was excised surgically, followed by appropriate treatment.

The prosthodontic care for palatal defects is crucial for effectively closing oronasal communication in patients and enhancing various aspects of their oral health. This includes improving masticatory function, speech clarity, aesthetics, and overall comfort. Maxillary defects often arise as a result of surgical interventions for conditions like malformations, neoplasms, or traumatic injuries. In such cases, the primary objective of employing an obturator is to close the palatal defects that result from maxillectomy procedures, with the ultimate aim of enhancing both speech and masticatory function. This article presents a comprehensive case study highlighting the prosthetic rehabilitation of a maxillectomy defect resulting from osteosarcoma. The rehabilitation approach incorporates the use of a hollow bulb obturator, showcasing its transformative impact on the patient's masticatory function, speech clarity and aesthetics thus enhances the patient's quality of life.

Amelogenesis imperfecta refers to a group of rare, inherited disorders characterized by abnormal enamel formation. Patients mainly seek solution for unesthetic appearance caused by the condition. As prosthetic rehabilitation is essential for esthetics and function an interdisciplinary approach is often needed for restoration of health and its long-term maintenance. A multidisciplinary approach was mandatory for the management of this case. Short clinical crowns were present in all quadrant which made it difficult to achieve adequate retention and resistance forms for tooth replacement. In all quadrants, surgical crown lengthening was done by full thickness flap utilising a sub marginal incision with bone reduction wherever required to achieve bone level at least 3-4mm from gingival margin to facilitate supra crestal attachment (biologic width). After sufficient healing and stabilisation of gingival margins, prosthetic rehabilitation followed using fixed metal ceramic crown from molar to molar in both jaws. Depigmentation of the gingivae via conventional scalpel (upper arch) and laser (lower arch) was done to enhance the pink aesthetics. Sufficient crown length for a good resistance and retention form and adequate biologic width was established and pink white esthetic harmony was achieved.

In the majority of the cases with typical supernumerary tooth, mesiodens are the most widespread finding and may give rise to a variety of clinical symptoms, including displacement and obstruction, in the emergence and alignment of the adjoining teeth. The best time to remove the mesiodens is still up for debate, but it is typically suggested if there are any clinical complications or aesthetic issues present. While some authors advise awaited intervention following the full root development of the nearby teeth, others advise a rapid approach. In the present case report, one such patient's esthetics and quality of life have been successfully improved.

Intrusive injuries are common in primary dentition, however, only a limited number of cases have been reported involving permanent teeth. The present report describes a case of severe intrusion involving a maxillary central incisor wherein the tooth was displaced beyond the apical level of the adjacent teeth, into the nasal cavity. Without adequate clinical and radiographic examination, such cases tend to be misdiagnosed as avulsion and may present with numerous complications at a later stage. The present case report highlights the importance of a meticulous clinical examination, thorough radiographic evaluation, and appropriate surgical technique for the diagnosis and management of severely intruded permanent anterior teeth.
