Identifying the imprint left by Chinese immigrants, who arrived in Chiapas in the late 19th and early 20th Century seems somewhat trite for those who know the state and, especially, its coastal region: the Soconusco. However, as obvious as it may be, the existence of a gastronomic tradition that turned into an identity brand in the region known as Chinese food, does not mean that the construction of “the Chinese” or a “Chinese community” by the descendants of immigrants is a clear and palpable fact. The difficulties in this construction are addressed in this article mainly by means of the dance groups that exist in different coastal municipalities. The way the illusion of a community of blood descendants fades out in order to establish dance groups as municipal representatives in dispute of the assumption of the Chinese can be observed through their differences, especially showing the creative value of their activities.

EL IMAGINARIO DE LA SEGURIDAD EN LA FRONTERA SUR DE MÉXICO A PRINCIPIOS DEL SIGLO XXI 21世纪初墨西哥南部边境的安全想象

This article analyzes the social imagery of security based on the National Security Doctrine and its representations regarding the security policy of the Mexican State on the southern border of Mexico in the early xxist century. In regard, we firstly discuss the National Security Doctrine as a representation of the political imagery of security in theory. Secondly, we undertake an analysis of some representations of international cooperation policy regarding security that guide the actions of Mexico's foreign policy aimed at containing threats from abroad, which have been located on the southern border. Thirdly, we highlight the effectiveness of the construction of the political imagery of Mexican border security as an extension of the political imagery of the National Security Doctrine adopted by our country in order to represent the vulnerability of the southern border.

本文以国家安全主义为基础，分析了21世纪初墨西哥南部边境安全政策的社会意象及其表现。在这方面，我们首先从理论上讨论了国家安全主义作为安全政治意象的表现。第二，我们分析有关安全的国际合作政策的一些代表，这些代表指导墨西哥外交政策的行动，目的是遏制来自国外的威胁，这些威胁位于南部边界。第三，我们强调了墨西哥边境安全政治意象的建构的有效性，作为我国为代表南部边境的脆弱性而采用的国家安全主义政治意象的延伸。

This paper analyzes if the practice of faith has its foothold in social interaction and if it suffers changes on an advanced age group due vulnerability, illness, disability or retirement, or while the physical straightness, consumption requirements, social and economic interactions get reduced and therefore a decrease in daily activities that produce changes in the lifestyle and the social relationships. I argue that as the person's age grows, the less active and more passive faith becomes, which doesn’t imply that new public, private and mostly intimate expressions of faith aren’t being generated and followed with changes on the perceptions of the material and spiritual world.

本文分析了信仰的实践是否在社会互动中有立足点，是否在老年群体中由于脆弱、疾病、残疾或退休而发生变化，或者当身体笔直、消费要求、社会和经济互动减少，从而减少日常活动，从而产生生活方式和社会关系的变化。我认为，随着人的年龄增长，信仰变得越来越不活跃，越来越被动，这并不意味着新的公开的、私人的、大多数是亲密的信仰表达不会产生，也不会伴随着对物质和精神世界的看法的变化。

This work is an approach to the way in which young Mexicans perceive the political notions that guide their participation as citizens. The conversation with the interviewees reveals that some values related to democracy such as freedom, equality and solidarity are viewed as belonging to the political system of our country. However, they perceive citizen and citizenship barely linked with these values or with the decisions taken by the political class. As a result, they maintain the idea that the only obligation of the citizen is to participate in the electoral process and another horizon of political strive is rarely contemplated.
