The long-lasting effect caused by direct current for somatosensory evoked potentials and high frequency oscillations 直流电对躯体感觉诱发电位和高频振荡的持久影响

The long-term effects for the neural activities on somatosensory area caused by transcranial direct current stimulation (tDCS) have been showed with somatosensory evoked potentials (SEPs) and high frequency oscillations (HFOs) in animals and humans. This study investigates the relationship of SEPs with HFOs before and after applying cathodal tDCS (0, 15, 30, 45, 60 min) to human left somatosensory cortex for 15 min at 2 mA. The amplitudes of N20 and P30 evoked by right median nerve stimulation were slightly decreased after cathodal tDCS. Likewise, HFOs were affected by cathodal tDCS but there weren't steadily decrement during the entire HFO, the effects were oscillating depending on the peak of HFOs or the elapse time after tDCS. tDCS may leave the different influences between time- and location-dependent somatosensory processing.

Diagnostic method of low speed rolling element bearing using AE envelope waveform 基于AE包络波形的低速滚动轴承诊断方法

Most of low speeds rotating machines are large and important equipments in plants, and the stoppage caused by damage of rolling element bearing brings serious losses. This paper relates to a diagnosis bearing in low speed rotating equipment of 100 rpm or less, and proposes a method using AE envelope waveform of a 100 k to 1 MHz frequency region. Abnormality diagnosis was enabled even from rotation of 1 rpm by improving the S/N ratio by the method of further amplifying after envelope processing in addition to amplification of AE waveform. Furthermore, a method to remove electric noises in an event counting method and an abnormality judgment method by an event counting method in low speed rotation are proposed. The proposed methods are applied to implement a diagnostic instrument and are actually utilized for the abnormality diagnosis and condition monitoring on sites, which shows the validity of the proposal.

Broadband printed dipole antennas with shaped ground plane 带异形地平面的宽带印刷偶极子天线

A printed dipole antenna, in spite of its numerous advantages in terms of size, weight, aerodynamic drag etc. suffers from the inherent disadvantage of incompatibility with wide band operation. Both microstrip dipoles and printed dipoles are resonant antennas but printed dipoles are often used to replace microstrip dipoles since they offer somewhat better band width. However, the maximum band width reported to be obtained is not sufficient for many present day high-speed data applications like streaming video, real time navigation and control links, as also applications like medical imaging, broad band EMI measurements etc. A novel yet simple design of printed dipole antenna without flared arms and with shaped ground plane is presented here using which −10 dB return loss band width as high as 41% in L band and below is achieved, a feat hitherto unachieved. By flaring its arms, the same antenna provides −10dB band width as high as 51% in the same band of frequency. Antennas are designed to operate in L band and below so that these can be used in GSM and CDMA wireless applications. Measured results of both antennas show good agreement with the simulated results.

Fixed contention window backoff scheme for the contention-based IEEE 802.11 MAC 修正了基于争用的IEEE 802.11 MAC的争用窗口退退方案

In order to develop a contention-based MAC with quality of service (QoS) guarantee based on the distributed coordination function (DCF), we investigate the backoff scheme. We optimize the channel utilization with the constraint that delay requirement is guaranteed. Based on our analysis data, we propose the fixed contention window backoff (FCWB) scheme to get the best performance. The optimal performance can be simply achieved by setting the minimum contention window and the transmission opportunity (TXOP) to the values derived from our procedure.

A conceptual framework for creating interactive narratives 创造互动叙事的概念框架

The article presents an interactive narrative framework for the domain of sinti-Ijime education based on a type of intelligent agent called Story Director. A story director whilst preserves the authorial intent in the virtual world at the same time delivers good user experience. It is capable of adapting the virtual environment to coerce a participant's experience to conform to a set of provided properties. The framework will be used to develop 3D real time virtual learning environment to prevent aggressive behaviour of school children by inducing affective responses against bullying situations, and thus changing children's behaviour and cognition. As such, issues of narrative management are discussed and a generic narrative module is outlined.

Probabilistic model building Genetic Network Programming using multiple probability vectors 基于多概率向量的遗传网络规划概率模型构建

As an extension of GA and GP, a new evolutionary algorithm named Genetic Network Programming (GNP) has been proposed. GNP uses the directed graph structure to represent its solutions, which can express the dynamic environment efficiently. The reusable nodes of GNP can construct compact structures, leading to a good performance in complex problems. In addition, a probabilistic model building GNP named GNP with Estimation of Distribution Algorithm (GNP-EDA) has been proposed to improve the evolution efficiency. GNP-EDA outperforms the conventional GNP by constructing a probabilistic model by estimating the probability distribution from the selected elite individuals of the previous generation. In this paper, a probabilistic model building GNP with multiple probability vectors (PMBGNPM) is proposed. In the proposed algorithm, multiple probability vectors are used in order to escape from premature convergence, and genetic operations like crossover and mutation are carried out to the probability vectors to maintain the diversities of the populations. The proposed algorithm is applied to the controller of autonomous robots and its performance is evaluated.

Advanced zero-block mode decision algorithm for H.264/AVC video coding H.264/AVC视频编码的先进零块模式决策算法

This paper proposes an advanced zero-block inter mode decision algorithm for H.264/AVC inter frame coding, to improve computation efficiency of the previous algorithms [1], [2]. Although the previous zero-block decision algorithm in [1] achieves significant computation improvement, computation performance is still limited for high bit-rate coding. To obtain better computation efficiency at high bit-rate, another work in [2] suggests another zero-block decision algorithm, using zero-blocks of both 8×8 and 4×4 DCT coefficients to describe video sequences in detail, including global and local stationary characteristics. The experimental results reveal significant computation improvement for high bit-rate coding, but computation performance at low-bit rate is slightly worse than the previous algorithm [1]. This study proposes an advanced decision algorithm which accounts for advantages of both algorithms to greatly improve computation. Improved computation reduction is very momentous for all bit-rates while still preserving high coding efficiency.

Study of a remote monitoring system for senior drivers 老年驾驶员远程监控系统的研究

ITS (Intelligent Transport System), which connects people, vehicles and roads by information and communication technologies, has been drawing much attention these days. Telem-atic services, in particular, have been deployed by domestic as well as foreign automobile companies in various ways. However, in most cases their services are intended to support drivers themselves. In the meantime, provision of services to the people taking care of elderly people in the family is considered to become increasingly important towards the future, in such countries as Japan where the aging society is becoming a serious problem. In this paper, we present a system by which people having an elderly person in their family can remotely monitor his health conditions when he is driving a car.

An analysis of the electromagnetic waves propagating inside rooms in which people exist 对在有人居住的房间内传播的电磁波的分析

Electromagnetic waves propagating inside rooms in which people exist have been analysed. A human body is one of the obstacles which disturb propagation of electromagnetic waves. Analysing electromagnetic waves propagating through space where people exist is very important these days in that indoor wireless communication technologies have become widespread. In this paper, considering a spread of people in a room, electromagnetic waves propagating inside the room, which is enclosed with concrete walls, have been analysed by using not only the FVTD method but also experimental measurements. The results show that people's existence affects distribution of the electric field strengths inside a room.

The largest problem in realizing a ubiquitous information system is the energy supply. In order to solve this problem, a gyroscopic power generator that amplifies the input vibration and makes the magnet rotate at high speed has been developed. The basic structure is a "Dynabee" with a magnet and a solenoid. In addition, the generator was made to work as a motor, which was started automatically by providing an initial velocity. The ability to generate 1 W of power from vibration, the frequency of which is as low as 2 Hz, as well as the ability to charge a mobile phone were demonstrated.
实现泛在信息系统的最大问题是能源供应。为了解决这一问题,研制了一种放大输入振动并使磁体高速旋转的陀螺发电机。基本结构是一个带有磁铁和螺线管的“Dynabee”。此外,发电机被制成电动机,通过提供初始速度自动启动。从频率低至2赫兹的振动中产生1瓦功率的能力,以及为手机充电的能力都得到了证明。
