A controlled-swap operation for photons using two optical paths as a control qubit is demonstrated. The overlap between the input states can be directly evaluated by measuring the interference fringe visibility of the control qubit.

A significant enhancement of the terahertz generation efficiency via two-color laser-induced air ionization, up to 10-3, is observed with increasing pump wavelength. Terahertz peak fields up to 4.4 MV/cm were obtained using 400 μJ pulse energy.

Entangled photon triplets 纠缠光子三重态

We demonstrate entangled photon triplets from cascaded downconversion. First, we establish the presence of tripartite energy-time entanglement using a new entanglement criterion. Then we show a new source of three photon polarization GHZ states, verifying its quality with an entanglement witness.

The effect of index antiguiding on GaN-based blue and violet laser diodes has been investigated. Strong antiguiding effects are proposed to be responsible for the large dependence of the threshold current density on the ridge etch depth.

We present a novel two-photon spectrum in which the transition amplitude was interfered with phase-modulated radiation. We demonstrate the application of our resolved spectrum by determining the absolute frequency of cesium 6S-8S hyperfine transitions.

We show enhancement in optical nonlinear absorption by engineering the coupling between excitons of 3,4,7,8-naphthalenetetracarboxylic dianhydride (NTCDA) and ZnO nanowires. Energy transfer between the excitonic systems and exciton scattering are found to be competing processes.
