Generation of optical 32QAM using two tandem IQ modulators with simplified electronics 一代光学32QAM使用两个串联IQ调制器与简化的电子

We propose and demonstrate an optical 32QAM transmitter, consisting of two tandem IQ modulators driven by binary and 3-level electronics. Compared with the single-IQ modulator scheme requiring 6-level electronics, the complexity in electronics is reduced.

We report the demonstration of a lidar based on optical sampling by cavity tuning. Target vibration as fast as 50 Hz has been successfully detected at an equivalent free-space distance of over 2 km.

We present results on the relaxation dynamics of photoexcited carriers in MoS2 using optical-pump terahertz-probe spectroscopy. Our measurements indicate that carrier recombination is accelerated at low temperatures where defect-assisted recombination becomes more efficient.

We demonstrate micron-scale on-chip mode-division multiplexing device with low crosstalk using add-drop silicon ring resonators array. We taper the bus waveguide width to selectively phase-match the different bus waveguide modes to the ring mode.

We demonstrate the detection of single protein molecules in an aqueous environment with an Yb-doped silica microlaser. With the employment of a real-time spectrum analyzer, a fast sampling speed of sub-milliseconds per spectrum was adopted.
