By virtue of its unique understanding and expression of beauty, Chinese style aesthetics has deeply influenced the aesthetic trend in Asia, as well as survived and thrived against the popular Western aesthetics. The increasingly frequent cross-cultural communication makes the integration of Chinese style illustration and Western painting techniques a new trend. Based on the analysis of representative works of famous Chinese style illustrators at present, this paper discusses how they comprehensively present Chinese elements and Western painting methods, so as to provide reference and insight for designers in exploring the direction of illustration creation.

Franz Schubert composed twenty one piano sonatas in his thirty-one years of life. In 1828, the last year of his life, Schubert composed three large piano sonatas: D958, D959 and D960. This paper focuses on the work "Piano Sonata in C Minor" D958 among these three pieces, which is the largest, most profound and most representative classic of the three. In his piano sonata creation, while retaining the format of composition of piano sonata in the classical period, Schubert integrated the creation style of the romantic period. The artistic style and artistic form of these piano sonatas in Schubert's late creation reached its peak. This paper focuses on the analysis of the creative elements of the first movement of "Piano Sonata in C Minor" from the aspects of melody, variation, rest, continuant and semitone.

This paper introduces the origin, use, and classification of traditional New Year pictures, and discusses the reference for modern design from the perspective of art design in modeling and techniques, color composition and other aspects of New Year pictures. It also describes the artistic reflection brought by the form characteristics of New Year pictures to modern design. With a long history of traditional culture, China boasts many rich cultural heritages. Many traditional patterns in traditional culture are used for reference and study by designers today. For example, various traditional Chinese cultural elements, such as the shape of the seal and the outline form of the Chinese knot, are recreated to form the emerging aesthetic works in line with the Mass fashion. In China, some of the most striking aesthetic value and significance are shown in traditional New Year paintings. The color, composition and subject matter in New Year paintings can be skillfully used and transformed into abstract artistic visual symbols and applied in life and creation.
