Background In recent centuries, ultra-high diluted compounds have shown some effect, which has always been doubted and disbelieved due to the high dilution. Articles on UHD have published various effects of these substances on living organisms (humans, plants, animals and bacteria). But so far nothing has been found visible to differentiate the structure of these substances themselves from placebo. This research, unlike other published articles, is about the nature and structure of UHDs themselves and has been able to investigate and reveal structural differences between UHDs and of course placebo and presented different, new, and perplexing chemical results on the structure of UHDs. Methods To prepare eleven selected samples, commercial UHDs from various plant, animal, mineral, chemical and nosode resources were used in a dilution of ´10-6. The experiments (90) were designed using the Design Expert 7.0.0 based on the Central Composite Design (CCD) statistical algorithm related to four quantitative factors of time, dilution, light intensity and temperature and a qualitative factor of UHD type. The formed things were selected and were imagined using Scanning Electronic Microscopy (SEM). Results The formation of substances which gradually start taking shapes appears in the solutions. EOMs formed some things in different size, shapes, and suspended in water are observable by naked eyes. They are in tubular and layered forms which are solidified and strong with some curvatures and bending. We’ve called these substances Essential Original Matter (EOM). These EOMs are unique, distinct and repeatable and they have special structural feature that is created in every individual type of UHDs. Conclusion The production of somethings in UHD’s solution (we called in EOMs) is reported for the first time. Results prove that UHDs are distinct from placebo in addition to the effects shown in the past and in other articles. These materials have different and unique structure. According to the current laws of chemistry, no traces of above materials are expected to be seen in these types of solutions. Based on these results, it can be suggested that the Avogadro hypothesis needs to be re-examined and revised.

Background: Conduct disorder (CD) and associated antisocial behaviour is one of the most common behavioural problems in children and young people that lead to considerable burden for the patients themselves, their family and society. There is scarcity of literature for effectiveness of homoeopathic medicines in childhood psychiatric disorders such as CD. Summary of cases: 10 children diagnosed as CD, five each from Child psychiatry OPD and Peripheral camp at a Children’s home were treated with individualized homoeopathic medicines. All the cases were assessed at baseline and successive visits with Conduct Disorder Rating Scale (CDRS)- Parent version and the results are summarized. There was a marked reduction of disruptive behaviour and improvement in the general condition of the children. Conclusion: The analysis of 10 cases generates a preliminary evidence for usefulness of individualized homoeopathic medicines in the management of CDs. Studies with appropriate designs are indispensable to corroborate the evidence.

Background: The scientific community has used the Zebrafish (Danio rerio) model significantly more often which adheres to the 3Rs (replacement, reduction, and refinement) philosophy as demanded by numerous national and international regulatory agencies. Thus, by substituting Zebrafish for mammals in research, it is possible to decrease the use of those animals and address issues with their welfare. Methodology: Data was collected from various databases such as Scopus, Science Direct, Web of Science, PubMed, Research gate, and Google Scholar, to identify preclinical studies examining the effects of Homoeopathic formulations on the variance of diseases in Zebrafish. The 13 qualified manuscripts were included in the full-text analysis after the identified publications were reviewed in accordance with inclusion and exclusion criteria. Results: A systematic search of the databases retrieved 10 studies screened for eligibility after duplicates were removed. A total of 10 full-text articles were assessed with a total of 09 meeting the inclusion criteria and included in the scoping review. Conclusion: Zebrafish revealed to be an ideal model to explore studies on toxicity, genetics, behavior and bone diseases. Additionally, researchers can use Zebrafish to discover novel therapies and preventive measures for a range of human ailments.

Background: Chronic urticaria is occurrence of wheals more than twice a week for a period of six weeks or longer. It is a vascular reaction of the skin characterised by the appearance of wheals, which are elevated whitish reddish plaques, generally surrounded by a red halo and associated with severe itching, stinging or burning sensations. Generally the lesions increase in frequency after adolescence, with highest incidence in persons in 3rd decade of their lives. Non- sedating anti-H1 antihistamines are the mainstay of treatment; when ineffective higher dosages are tried, though all are associated with a lot of side effects ranging from arrhythmias to osteoporosis when used for a long period. Objectives: The aims and objectives of the present study were to understand the clinical presentation of CU and to assess the effects of constitutional homoeopathic remedies in the treatment of chronic urticaria based on the Urticaria Activity Score (UAS), and to study their effects on the quality of life of the patients before and after treatment, using the Dermatology Life Quality Index (DLQI). Materials and Methods: It was a prospective non-randomised uncontrolled observational study; sample size was 30; case taking of all the patients was done based on standard case taking proforma, consent was taken from each patient,a questionnaire of 22 points was used to elicit significant aspects of the nature of urticaria, all the patients were prescribed medicines depending on individual case; follow-up was done every 30 days from first prescription. At each visit, scoring of clinical symptoms was done with the help of UAS. Prognosis was made by comparing the different scores at each visit. Lastly, quality of life assessment was done before and after treatment using DLQI. Results: According to severity based on the Urticaria Activity Score, before treatment 10% patients were in mild category, 60% patients in moderate category and 30% in severe category. After treatment, 63.33% patients were in mild category and 36.67% in moderate category. The t-value was 10.56(p=0.001) for UAS. Based on DLQI, 6.67% were in large effect group, 63.33% in moderate effect group, 26.67% in small effect group and 3.33% in no effect group. Building skills towards scientific reasoning and critical thinking among the medical students is an integral part of the profession. However, less participation and disinterest towards research has been observed in undergraduate homoeopathic students. So, to assess the change in attitude towards research through a research orientation training, this study was conducted. A study material devised on the concepts of research methodology and significance of research; termed as the Self-developed Research Attitude Training (SRAT), was used. The SRAT training was carried out for 3 days in 2021 and 2022 for the students of 2nd BHMS, 3rd BHMS and 4th BHMS. Research Aptitude Questionnaire (RAQ) were developed for the assessment and the students were asked to fill the specific set of RAQ questionnaires pre-SRAT and post-SRAT. The change in mean scores of RAQ in all the batches was found to be statistically significant (P<0.001).It is evident that the lack of orientation and motivation in students towards research can be improved through regular and apt methods in the classrooms at all the academic levels.

Background: Schizophrenia is a chronic, debilitating psychiatric disorder which is one of the leading causes of disability worldwide and has a large impact on individuals, families and society. There is paucity of literature on usefulness of Homoeopathy in Schizophrenia. Cases summary: Two cases of Schizophrenia are assessed symptomatically using Positive and Negative Syndrome Scale (PANSS) and treated in Psychiatry Department of (blinded for review) Case no.1 (Paranoid Schizophrenia) presented with sleeplessness, irritable mood, referential and persecutory delusions, auditory and olfactory hallucinations and thought broadcasting. The case was analyzed according to Kent’s method and Lycopodium 30c was prescribed. PANSS score of 135 at baseline turned to 30(Normal) within 4 months and maintained for the next 24 months of observation period. Case no.2 (Catatonic Schizophrenia) presented with sleeplessness, laughing and crying alternately, not responding to questions, silly smiling, slow activities, need for compulsion to do her daily activities, standing like a statue for hours assuming strange postures, poor sociability and delusion that her body is split vertically into two. The case was managed acutely with Ignatia 200C followed by a dose of Phosphorus 200C as a constitutional remedy. PANSS score of 157 at baseline turned to 30 (Normal) within 3 months and maintained for 24 months. There is reduction of positive, negative and general symptoms along with good psycho-social adaptation. Causal attribution of changes in condition to the homoeopathic treatment was depicted by the Modified Naranjo Criteria score. Conclusion: Homoeopathic medicines selected on the basis of individualization are useful in the management of Schizophrenia.

Government of India at its 72nd year of republic had drafted the new bill entitled “New Drugs, Medical Devices and Cosmetics Bill 2022” which seeks to replace the existing “Drugs and Cosmetics Act, 1940”. Earlier in this Act, Chapter V mentions the support of regulatory authority for Ayurveda, Siddha, Unani drug. However the new draft of bill includes Sowa Rigpa and Homoeopathic drugs and proposes to develop new innovative drugs by establishing their scientific research board. Owing to the new suggestions put forth in this new draft an opinion is addressed in this letter concerned with quality standards, drug proving trials, safety standards and efficacy standards for homoeopathic drugs.

Abstract Introduction: two Python bivittatus were received at Project Selva Viva, zoo in Taubaté, Brazil, both presented respiratory noises and oro-nasal discharge. In view of the fact, a thoracic ultrasonographic examination was performed for evaluation on February 25, 2022, which diagnosed the presence of multiple vertical hyperechoic artefacts emerging from the pleural line, coalescing in some of the fields evaluated, and the presence of a hypoechoic structure located in the subpleural region. Another serpent, a species of Boa constrictor, arrived in same zoo, unhistorical individual, collected from an apprehension, showed a low body score and during a thoracic ultrasonographic evaluation, carried out on April 1, 2022, was also found to have B waves emerging from the line pleural. Methodology: Authorized story, by responsible of zoo. In all the patients, homeopathic therapy was initiated with 2 globules of Arsenicum album 30 cH/BID, after diagnosis of the respiratory condition by ultrasonographic examination, the medication was chosen through the similarity with the symptoms. Accompaniment with ultrassoms of Python bivittatus foram carried out weekly for accompaniment of the respiratory picture. Results: On March 04, it was observed that both coils showed a reduction in respiratory noise and were more active. Ars 30 cH was maintained BID. On March 25, both presented significant improvement in ultrasound, which made visible only lines A, compatible with a healthy lung, in both individuals and the treatment was suspended. The treatment of the Boa constrictor was started on April 1. On April 8, ultrasonographic examination was performed, which only observed lines A, indicating improvement of the picture. Conclusion: Given these results, it is considered that the homeopathic treatment is an option to be considered not treating the respiratory condition in snakes, however, there is variation in the duration of the therapy through the stage and chronicity of the disease.

In all the patients, homeopathic therapy was initiated with 2 globules of Arsenicum album 30 cH/BID, after diagnosis of the respiratory condition by ultrasonographic examination, the medication was chosen through the similarity with the symptoms. Accompaniment with ultrassoms of Python bivittatus foram carried out weekly for accompaniment of the respiratory picture. Results: On March 04, it was observed that both coils showed a reduction in respiratory noise and were more active. Ars 30 cH was maintained BID. On March 25, both presented significant improvement in ultrasound, which made visible only lines A, compatible with a healthy lung, in both individuals and the treatment was suspended. The treatment of the Boa constrictor was started on April 1. On April 8, ultrasonographic examination was performed, which only observed lines A, indicating improvement of the picture. Conclusion: Given these results, it is considered that the homeopathic treatment is an option to be considered not treating the respiratory condition in snakes, however, there is variation in the duration of the therapy through the stage and chronicity of the disease.","PeriodicalId":106057,"journal":{"name":"International Journal of High Dilution Research - ISSN 1982-6206","volume":"2 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-09-27","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"128710250","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The droplet evaporation method (DEM) is based on the evaporation-induced pattern formation in droplets and is applied mainly for diagnosis [1]. Here, we present a series of experiments performed by our team showing DEMs potential also for homeopathy basic research, in particular, for the investigation of (i) low potencies, (ii) low potency complexes (physical model), and (iii) the action of high potencies (plant-based model). DEM differentiated significantly between Luffa, Baptisia, Echinacea, and Spongia until 4x [2]. Furthermore, the patterns varied in function of the number of succussion strokes (0, 10, or 100) applied during potentization [3]. The performance of chaotic succussions vs. laminar flow vs. slight mixing during the potentization of Viscum album quercus 3x influenced the DEM patterns; the chaotic succussions reduced, whereas laminar flow enhanced the patterns complexity vs. the unsuccussed control. The addition of Mercurius bijodatus 9x to Luffa 4x changed significantly the DEM patterns, even if the material quantity present in the 9x potency lied far beyond that of ultrapure water. Leakages obtained by placing healthy or damaged wheat-seeds into Arsenicum album 45x or Zincum metallicum 30c vs. water created significantly different DEM structures [4, 5]. The damaged seeds put into the potency created structures characterized by a higher complexity than those obtained from damaged seeds put into control water. Furthermore, the potency action seemed to correlate positively with the number of succussion strokes applied during potentization, as could be shown by means of DEM patterns and germination rate using the same wheat-seed model [6]. In all our studies, the pattern evaluation was computerized or based on deep-learning algorithms and the robustness of the experimental system was checked by means of systematic control experiments. DEM together with other similar methods has also been reviewed by our team for what concerns the application in homeopathy basic research [7].

Background: The Clificol® COVID-19 Support Project is an innovative international data collection project aimed at documenting the presenting symptoms, use of homeopathy through the pandemic and tackling some of the core questions in homeopathy. Aims: The Covid-19 pandemic raised many questions and mobilised many resources. In order to make good use of resources, sound knowledge of the presenting complaints and demographics are required. In particular, we aimed to characterise the recent Omicron wave in Hong-Kong and to get an overall picture of the global pandemic as experienced by the homeopathic community. Methodology: This online multi-national data-collection project is supported by the ECH, ECCH, ICH, HRI, LMHI, and other professional associations. The collected data includes demographic information, severity, conventional diagnosis and treatment, presenting symptoms as well as the remedies prescribed. The outcome of treatment was tracked using the ORIDL scale. More recently a 23-items prospective questionnaire was added to the input in order to gather targeted data about the presenting complaints. Results and discussion: The recent wave of the Omicron variant in Hong-Kong, was analysed (N=372 cases) in terms of the symptomatology of this variant. The data from the 23-items questionnaire is compared to the longer questionnaire (150 items) used by the Hong-Kong team (21 practitioners). The most frequently reported common Clinical symptoms were extreme tiredness (60%), sore throat (46%), headache during fever (45%), dryness of mouth (37%), poor appetite (37%), runny nose (34%) and unusual muscle pains (31%). Also, the cases collected from around the world over the course of the pandemic (N=1300) were analysed, providing an overall picture of the pandemic and its specificities per country and over time. Conclusions: Clificol has shown and continues to show the value of data collection for the homeopathy community, providing important information for the management of future pandemics and opening new avenues for research in homeopathy.
