Abstract. The location of objects based on the analysis of acoustic signals is widely used in various civil and military systems. Applications that allow the users to determine the location of the sound source are used, for example, in conference rooms for automatic speaker location, enabling unattended camera control, detecting and tracking the movement of objects in area surveillance systems, etc. The paper presents a system for determining the azimuth of a moving motor vehicle developed at the Military Institute of Engineer Technology in cooperation with the Wroclaw University of Technology. The system is designed for the detection, identification and location of armored vehicles and trucks. The use of acoustic signal analysis methods to locate objects allowed for the construction of passive systems that are difficult to detect. This property is particularly important in area surveillance systems and military equipment designs.

Abstract. The paper examines cooperation among production companies to fulfill orders beyond plant capacity by selecting subcontractors. The developed model focuses on planning the production process to minimize total production costs by deciding where to produce goods before they are actually produced. The concept utilized a 3D FlexSim simulation environment, specifically the built-in optimization module OptQuest, to address the problem. The paper covers the key steps in creating the simulation model and presents the simulation results.

Abstract. The article presents a case study of the practical use of BOST surveys to identify the most important areas in the functioning of enterprise in perception of the company mission by their employees. This is an important element in the consciousness of the worker and is part of the delegation and self-organization to the lowest level. The research object is company from food industry. Some production workers of the company with the help of BOST questionnaire survey showed, which factors are the most important. Based on the survey results of carried out on the population of production workers, a series of importance areas for improvement was formulated. The aim of the analysis is to present which factors are the most important by building the significance sequences of obtained results. The results obtained for the type of small and medium-sized enterprises overlap with the results of tests verified in other enterprises.

Abstract. The article has a theoretical and practical character. It is an introduction to further research on issues related to the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic on the working conditions of employees of public administration institutions during the period of partial control of the health threat caused by the SARS-CoV-2 virus. The article presents issues related to occupational safety management in selected public administration offices and the opinions of employees employed in them on this subject. The focus was on the problems related to providing employees with safe working conditions while these institutions are recovering from the crisis related to the limited access to public services and returning to traditional forms of functioning.

Abstract. Computer image analysis allows for various object detection and classification as well as conducting measurements on microscope images. Technological development, including the application of artificial intelligence solutions, speeds up the classification of large data sets. In the context of image analysis, an essential issue is image quality assessment (IQA). Applying the tools of image analysis, or artificial intelligence, linked with the appropriate IQA approach reveals the opportunity to develop materials with better functional and technological properties more sustainably and effectively.

Abstract. This article presents comparison of laser metal deposition methods. The main methods presented in this work assume use additional materials in a form of metal powder and filler wire. An important differences and problem with deposition of two different additional materials was presented. A comparison of abovementioned metal deposition methods of Inconel 625 alloy was shown. Microstructure analysis performed on manufactured specimens was presented. Differences in deposition mechanism for both methods were shown.

Abstract. The article presents the characteristics of modern reconnaissance systems in the radar range and camouflage methods for this range. Two absorbers of electromagnetic radiation in the 4-18 GHz range were tested, measuring their attenuation properties. Carbonyl iron and thin-walled hollow microspheres based on soda-lime-borosilicate glass were tested, on the basis of which paint coatings with different shares of absorbers and different coating thicknesses were produced. The attenuation properties of both absorbers were determined and attention was paid to the maximum values and frequencies for which they occur. Further directions of research were also proposed in order to obtain varnish coatings that are an effective camouflage agent in radiolocation.

Abstract. The paper is concerned with testing Cu-Mo coatings deposited over carbon steel C45, which were then eroded with a laser beam. A combination of electro-spark deposition (ESD) process and laser treatment has been developed, and tested, and improvement of certain surface properties has been demonstrated. The analysis involved measuring the macrogeometry, microhardness roughness and corrosion resistance of selected areas after laser treatment. The coatings were deposited by means of the ELFA-541 and they were laser treated with the Nd:YAG, the laser parameters being variable. The properties of heterogeneous surfaces, based on laser treated ESD, are largely dependent upon material combination systems, manipulating methods, ESD and laser parameters as well as process control.

Abstract. The study identifies the factors which determine the perception of occupational health and safety by socially responsible entrepreneurs. The research task set was carried out on the basis of an analysis of the literature on the subject and the results of surveys conducted in the third quarter of 2021, conducted among 164 entrepreneurs. In the empirical analysis workshop, logit models were estimated, in which determinants belonging to 5 categories were considered. On this basis, using the Gretl software, 8 logit models (4 full and 4 reduced) were built, indicating the relationships between the studied variables.
