Disability in leprosy or Morbus Hansen can be prevented by early diagnosis and regular and accurate treatment with multi-drug treatment. This study aimed to describe the examination of nerve function in preventing leprosy disability. In this case, a man, 21 years old, has a history of diagnosis of Morbus Hansen multibacillary type since five years ago. There are deformities in both hands and feet with red bumps. On neurological examination, there was anesthesia in hand with paralysis of the finger muscles causing claw hand. No reduction in muscle mass was seen. The patient found it difficult to move his left hand, especially on the 4th and 5th fingers. The range of motion (ROM) of the 4th and 5th fingers was limited. Examination of nerve function begins by palpating the auricular magnus, radial, ulnar, peroneus communis, and posterior tibial nerves. Motor and sensory examinations were carried out by examining the strength of the facial muscles, finger muscles, and wrist muscles. For the lower limbs, examine the muscles of the ankles and toes. In conclusion, early examination of disability and exercise therapy can help prevent disability and keep the condition of disability from getting worse.

COVID-19 (Coronavirus disease 2019) is a new type of disease caused by a virus from the coronavirus group, namely the Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome Coronavirus 2 or SARS-CoV-2. COVID-19 can cause respiratory system disorders, ranging from mild symptoms such as flu to lung infections, such as pneumonia. Coronaviruses are single-stranded and positive-chain RNA viruses with a particle size of 120-160 nm. This virus in humans attacks the respiratory tract, especially in the cells lining the alveoli. This virus mainly infects animals, including bats and camels.

Tuak Dayak is an alcoholic drink that is often consumed by the people of West Kalimantan. Infertility is related to ROS levels as a result of alcohol oxidative stress. This study aims to determine the effect of tuak dayak on the 8-OHdG levels of semen and testicular weight. This research is an experimental study using experimental methods with a post-test-only randomized control group design. The research subjects were 25 rats, randomly divided into 5 groups. Group K0 was only given 3.6 mL/kgBW/day of distilled water, groups K1 and K2 were given Tuak Aren at doses of 1.8 and 3.6 mL/kgBW/day, and groups K3 and K4 were given Tuak Dayak at doses of 1.8 and 3.6 mL/kgBW/day. Treatment for 4 weeks. On day 29, semen and testes were taken. The testes are weighed with an electric weigher. Analysis of semen in the testes was performed to check the levels of 8-OHdG. The results of the Mann-Whitney test on K4 and K3 had no effect on the 8-OHdG content of cement. The average result in K4 was the number of Leydig cells 3.68±0.18, the thickness of the tubular tissue was 2.13±0.14µg, and the testicular weight was 0.91±0.09 g, the lowest. The average 8-OHdG content of cement was 0.22±0.01 ng/mL, the lowest was K2, and the highest was at K0 1.14±0.05 g/mL. In conclusion, Tuak Dayak had the effect of lowering testicular weight but did not show any effect on the activity of 8-hydroxy-2'deoxyguanosine (8-OHdG) in the semen of rats.

Peritonitis can cause sepsis and septic shock, which can lead to death. The existence of a prognostic assessment to assess the progression of cases of peritonitis becomes urgent. This is due to the fact that peritonitis progresses very quickly, and delays in treatment and action will cause the patient's death. This study is a preliminary study with the aim of assessing the potential for developing the APACHE II score as a predictor of mortality in generalized peritonitis patients at Dr. Kariadi General Hospital Semarang Indonesia. This study is an observational study with as many as 22 research subjects, peritonitis patients at Dr. Kariadi General Hospital Semarang Indonesia. Univariate and bivariate analysis was conducted to determine the relationship between APACHE II score with mortality and length of treatment. The results of the study showed that the APACHE II score was positively correlated with moderate strength and statistically significant to the mortality of generalized peritonitis patients. APACHE II score is able to predict mortality but is not able to predict the length of treatment for generalized peritonitis patients at Dr. Kariadi General Hospital Semarang Indonesia.

The prevalence of severe and morbid obesity keeps increasing in significant value and has become a major problem around the world. Society itself, whether in young adult or senior, currently keep looking to manage them. The current effective and approved treatment for this condition is known as metabolic and bariatric surgery (MBS), in which there are several procedures, including laparoscopic sleeve gastrectomy. Even though knowledge regarding this procedure keeps evolving, the study found that the laparoscopic sleeve gastrectomy procedure brings minimal complication with quality-of-life improvement, especially in a cardiometabolic risk society. This review aims to further discuss the procedure definition, changes in diet, benefits, and obesity relapse in the future after this procedure.

Tuberculosis (TB) is a disease with a high risk of transmission and is one of the diseases whose cases continue to increase and cause death worldwide. Until now, pulmonary tuberculosis has been difficult to treat because of the patient's non-compliance with taking anti-tuberculosis drugs (OAT). This study aims to investigate the factors associated with adherence to taking OAT drugs in tuberculosis patients at Cut Meutia General Hospital. This research is an observational study with a cross-sectional design. The study was conducted at the pulmonary disease polyclinic of Cut Meutia General Hospital, North Aceh Regency. The study was conducted on 100 patients, with the sampling technique being total sampling. The sample inclusion criteria in this study were patients who had been diagnosed with pulmonary tuberculosis, were willing to participate in the study, and had signed an agreement to participate in the study. A total of 100 patients participated in this study. Most of the patients were male (64%), aged over 46 years (52%), had low education (75%), had difficult hospital access (70%), and had poor knowledge regarding TB treatment (60%). In conclusion, the factors of age, gender, and distance of residence are related to adherence to taking OAT. Meanwhile, education and knowledge are not related to adherence to taking OAT in pulmonary TB patients at Cut Meutia General Hospital, North Aceh Regency.

Malaria is a parasitic disease that is often the cause of death, especially in tropical and subtropical areas. One way to eradicate malaria is to break the chain of disease transmission in order to control the mosquito vector of malaria. The use of insecticide-treated mosquito nets can be used as an alternative in controlling malaria vectors for people who refuse to use the Indoor Residual Spraying (IRS) method. The review articles were obtained through a search using the Pubmed, Google Scholar, Garuda, and ScienceDirect databases. The keywords used were (LLINs OR "Long Lasting Insecticidal Nets") AND Malaria. 1843 articles were obtained, and extraction was carried out based on the restriction criteria so that 13 articles were obtained. In conclusion, the use of insecticide-treated mosquito nets LLIN is effective in killing mosquito vectors so that it has the potential to prevent malaria.
