We demonstrate 320 (32-wavelengths times 10) Gbit/s wide-colored optical packet switching by using optical label processing based optical packet switch system, and present error-free (bit-error-rate<10-9) operation for all 32 channel payloads.

A new multiobjective genetic algorithm is proposed to jointly provision a WRON and design its logical topology with fault tolerance. The algorithm reduces the congestion and the number of resources employed, and therefore the cost.

Bidirectional lightpath provisioning in GMPLS-controlled optical networks gmpls控制光网络中的双向光路配置

This paper compares two GMPLS schemes for bidirectional lightpath provisioning. The novel scheme based on the label set, where both directions are set up with a backward reservation, is assessed against the standard scheme based on the upstream label, where the reverse path is established with a forward reservation unaware of wavelength availability. Results show that the label set scheme significantly outperforms the upstream label scheme, especially when detailed network status information is not advertised.

The analysis of a shared-per-node OPS switch employing parametric wavelength converters (SPN-PWC) is reported. The results demonstrate a 38 - 63% reduction in the number of converters when SPN-PWC is compared with SPN employing single-channel wavelength converters.

Pair-control is essential to save processing time of the control software for both-way communication. We have developed the pair-controlled photonic switch matrixes, which save switching elements and control circuits, and greatly contribute to the economy of the photonic switching node.
