The study is about the strategies to help the hotel industries survive during the COVID-19 pandemic. Since this pandemic never happens before, the hotel industries are not ready to face such challenges in the business. Since the COVID-19 first outbreak, many businesses were affected and experienced a dramatic drop in the sales and revenue which no exception for hotel industry. For that reason, a study regarding the strategy or plan on how to make the hotel industries survive and avoid shutting down was conducted to help the business which had reached a dead end. Therefore, the objective of this study is to analyse the hotels’ strategies to survive during COVID-19 pandemic. In this study, the secondary data method was used to obtain data from recent studies by other researchers from academic journals, articles, and websites from the trusted sources. There are three strategies that was often applied by hotels in other countries which are cutting cost, becoming a quarantine hotel, and having pricing strategy. These strategies had shown a positive result and suitable to be applied by the hotels during COVID-19. The findings of this study can help the top management of the hotels to find the solutions on how to generate revenue and to sustain longer in the industry. What prompts users to readably purchase online compared to others is a beneficial insight for successful marketing campaigns. Purchase intention forecasts actual purchase act thus is desirable to be scrutinised. Furthermore, in social networking services settings, ample factors surface to observe purchase intentions from the user’s standpoint. While there are many facets to an individual makeup, understanding personality traits could be an excellent interplay in explaining purchase intention. The Big Five Factor Model (BFM) is utilised to predict the effect of personality traits in the aspect of business, specifically in the angle of purchase intention in social networking services (SNS). Personality traits (N=133) from the Big Five Model were found to be significant for SNS users’ using multiple regression analysis. Descriptive analyses were included to interpret the data. The value of this study showed that as a group, personality traits were significant on purchase intention, and proved that different versions of a similar message could be churned in a campaign to maximise conversion. The findings can fine-tune marketers’ way of handling different types of messages conveyed in SNS, and this research empirically investigated different personality types drawing from Big Five Model to understand purchase intention in SNS. The debut of National Transformation 2050 validates that Malaysia is committed in standing tall amongst the developed nations. Over the years, numerous transformation programs have been introduced to enhance the wellbeing of the nation and its people. Among the agenda is to overcome challenges in public services delivery which include the improvement of services by the counter service team and frontliners as well as the enhancement of reliability and integrity, issues of productivity, and many more. Public servants are an important source of innovation for an organisation that needs to be continuously nurtured. To accelerate the outcome, engagement was reportedly found to be the key enabler for sustainable success in any change or transformational-related event. Fostering employee engagement will nurture many prodigious advantages such as augmenting people’s innovative mindset and will greatly enhance the likelihood for a successful transformation program to happen. Along with the derivation of theoretical concepts guided by Social Exchange Theory (SET), the proposed concept is further reinforced through the best practices obtained from developed countries that have adapted best practices in employee engagement and innovation. Communication is a fundamental part of the working environment that comprises interpersonal relations and communication between groups and individuals and other social interactions within the active community. Communication and soft skills have become an important issue due to the lack of study and development, especially in the Landscape Architectural practice. It can be seen that the lack of communication and soft skills by current graduates has affected employability leading to a large quantity of unemployment and lack of advancement within the landscape industry. Hence, to keep up with the current trends of what employers seek within these landscape architecture graduates, it is believed that a paradigm shift in the training of students must take into account the development of Communication Skills within the curriculum to help aid the development of graduate employability skills. A method of assessing communication skills is also required to rate a Landscape Architect’s level of communication competence to further enhance the graduates’ career in the industry. 21st century learning requires lecturers to change from traditional learning to student-focused learning as well as applying critical learning and critical thinking skills. The film approach has been used in the subject Fundamental of Islam (CTU101) which is a compulsory subject for year 1 students of UiTM. This study is to identify the effectiveness of the film approach and the ability of students to integrate understanding related to Fundamental of Islam in film contents. The problem statement states two issues; firstly, learning challenges during the COVID-19 pandemic period and secondly learning challenges for Islamic Studies subjects. This study has selected five films that are included in the CTU101 syllabus, namely, My Name Is Khan, 2012, Laskar Pelangi, Jilbab Traveler, and Joker. This research used quantitative data to hundred CTU101 students and analysed using SPSS 20.0 software. This research has shown all positive reactions and happiness from students. Learning through films, well guided from a lecturer will then be a good approach for Islamic Studies subjects. The findings of the study show that students feel fun and easy to apply the fundamentals of Islam in daily life. This study aims to determine how the role of social media orientation towards the quality of relationships and innovation performance through sharing or gathering knowledge between organizations in SMEs. The rise of the use of social media is an attraction for SMEs to look for in maintaining good relations with stakeholders. With easy access and extensive networks, social media will be able to have a positive and beneficial impact on SMEs. Therefore, social media can play a role in inter organizational knowledge sharing about SMEs to produce good relationship quality with customers and other SMEs that are industrially based on their value congruence which will improve SMEs innovation performance. Data obtained from 109 SMEs owners in Indonesia with the criteria of using digital technology (social media) as a business tool and has been operating for 1 year. Data collection was carried out using a questionnaire which was further analysed using Partial Least Square (PLS). The results showed that there was a positive and significant influence on social media orientation on inter organizational knowledge sharing while inter organizational knowledge sharing had a positive and significant effect on relationship quality and innovation performance, and value congruence could also moderate the relationship between inter organizational knowledge sharing and relationship quality. The purpose of this study is to discuss how the role of community, sharing of knowledge between organizations, and digital intelligence on the performance of innovations is conceptualized to develop community capacity. Digital economic distribution can develop many SMEs in several regions in Central Java. As an entrepreneurial trend, innovation has a very important role for SMEs because it must have the ability to use digital technology properly. Efforts to Improve Performance Held by Renewing SMEs for Communities that have the same goal are called Community Agreeableness. Benefits of creating a community are a place to share knowledge and improve knowledge and skills within the SME community supported by digital intelligence. While the method used is a kind of quantitative explanatory research. The sample in this study amounted to 175 SMEs in Central Java who have used digital technology for online marketing and have used at least 1 year. The types of data in this study were obtained from primary data. Primary data were obtained directly from the main sources either from individuals, namely a questionnaire in the form of google which was distributed via WhatsApp personally to each respondent. Data collection methods are used through questionnaires and will then be analyzed with Partial Least Square (PLS) statistical analysis techniques. The results showed that community approval had a positive and significant effect on knowledge sharing between organizations, community approval was positively and significantly related to collaboration skills, knowledge sharing between organizations had a positive and significant effect on innovation performance, collaboration skills had a positive and significant effect on innovation performance, and digital intelligence is able to moderate the relationship between sharing knowledge between organizations and innovation performance. Hence, increasing the capacity of the community plays an important role in improving innovation performance in SMEs. The 5S concept, practiced in Japan since the early 1980s, is the most widely accomplished practice in organizations in both the public and private sectors. To create a more comfortable, organized, clean, safe, neat and quality work culture within an organization, 5S practices were then introduced in Malaysia in the mid-1980s. It is able to define, achieve and ultimately maintain a better standard of work culture while increasing the value of employees in an organization. In this regard, the study was conducted to determine the effects of implementing 5S practices on productivity and quality of work among UiTM Cawangan Pulau Pinang’s support staff. The questionnaire was distributed to 60 respondents working in the workshops, laboratories, and kitchens at UiTM Cawangan Pulau Pinang. The data were analyzed using the Statistical Package for the Social Sciences (SPSS) software version 21. This study found that the effects of 5S practice among UiTM Cawangan Pulau Pinang support staff in terms of quality and productivity of work were quite excellent, reflecting the improvement in the work quality and productivity among support staff since 5S was implemented. This indirectly improves quality and productivity of laboratories, workshops, and kitchens services. The campus management needs to recover the lack of 5S practice to optimise the work quality and productivity among the support staff. Keywords: 5S practice, UiTM, productivity, quality of work

MCDys is a courseware created as a learning tool for students with dyscalculia. The syllabus is developed based on the Linus module that is provided by the Kementerian Pendidikan Malaysia (KPM). Dyscalculia is a term used for learners that have a disability in learning mathematics. In developing this courseware, ADDIE model is used. ADDIE is a framework that many instructional designers and developers use to develop the courses. There are five stages in ADDIE Model which are analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. To design the interface, Schneiderman's eight golden rules of interface design is used. Schneiderman's eight golden rules include striving for consistency, enabling frequent users to use shortcuts, offering informative feedback, designing dialogue to yield closure, offering simple error handling, permitting easy reversal of actions, supporting internal locus of control and reducing short-term memory load. The content of the courseware uses interactive approaches such as video, animation, and quizzes, and game-based activities to encourage users’ understanding and grab their attention. User evaluation and expert evaluation were conducted to test the effectiveness and acceptance of the interface, usability, activity, navigation, multimedia, sound, image, text, animation, and video. The results show that the courseware has the highest score for usability score with a mean of 4.6(SD=0.55). Browsing social media is a common daily activity for most people all around the globe nowadays regardless of age and gender. Although the frequency, duration and motive of browsing social media differs from one person to another, the existence of employees who have social-media mania and keep browsing social media all the time even during their working hours causes the employers to monitor their employees‘ social media use intensity at workplace from time to time. This study looks at the level of social media use intensity at workplace among Human Resources executives of a government agency headquarters in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. Questionnaires were used to collect data on the sample. Due to its quite small population size, total population sampling method is applied. Out of 68 executives, only 30 completed the questionnaires (response rate = 44.12%). Findings revealed that the sample have high level of social media use intensity at workplace. However, there was no statistically significant difference between social media use intensity and gender. Other than that, it was found that the main motive behind using social media at workplace is interpersonal. As for the implications of this study, it contributes to the corpus of knowledge in the area of social media use intensity at workplace in local organization context and provides empirical data to assist organization in conducting appropriate policy to control social media use intensity at workplace among their employees.
