Location-Assistive and Real-Time Query IoT-Based Transport System 基于位置辅助和实时查询的物联网交通系统

In this age, the automotive surveillance service is a well-known proven product implemented in conventional transport systems and widely known vehicle entities worldwide. It is a system that can be very robust and reliable. Through this work, GPS (Global Positioning System is implemented, which is used to locate and identify any automobile. This concept is an integrated device that can steadily track a speeding object and communicate the device’s status whenever its identification is required. It must obtain the NodeMCU (ESP8066 module) for the network connection device, which is routinely connected to the GPS device and the Arduino board through which it functions. The NodeMCU is used to relay the device’s status simultaneously from a distant location. The context of the application, “Bus Management System”, which is designed in MIT, provided an android studio for researchers to design any application interface. The network interface could be reviewed on the accounts-receivable public network in the form of charts. The program shows responses to the mobile application; it only requires logging in with a data network. The application, “Bus Management System”, displays the sensor values in terms of GPS coordinates statistics. This IoT based transport assistive system is cost effective and less complex from other existing IoT based transport assistive system.

Performance Enhancement of Photovoltaic Water Pumping System Based on BLDC Motor under Partial Shading Condition 部分遮阳条件下基于无刷直流电机的光伏水泵系统性能增强研究

The use of photovoltaic (PV) energy for water pumping is considered one of the most promising areas of photovoltaic applications. This work aims to improve the power extraction of a battery-less photovoltaic pumping system. The DC–DC converter is used to accomplish the maximum power point tracking (MPPT). In addition, the BLDC motor is used for maximum exploitation of the delivered power by the PV array, and to enhance the reliability of the pumping system. Furthermore, an MPPT strategy, based on the cuckoo swarm optimization technique, has been developed to improve the control performance under partial shading conditions. The effectiveness of the proposed system has been examined through simulation using MATLAB and Simulink software.

The Thermal Analysis of a Sensible Heat Thermal Energy Storage System Using Circular-Shaped Slag and Concrete for Medium- to High-Temperature Applications 中高温用圆形渣混凝土显热蓄热系统的热分析

Thermal energy storage (TES) system is a technique that stores thermal energy in a storage medium for later use to balance demand and supply in industrial operations. In this study, a sensible thermal energy storage tank composed of concrete block and heat transfer fluid (HTF) passages is proposed. Slag and concrete particles are introduced to analyze the performance of the TES system. A comprehensive numerical model is developed using an energy balance approach combined with an enthalpy-based methodology. The temperature distribution is presented at different time intervals during the charging and discharging cycle of TESS. In comparison with a slag-filled TES tank, the concrete-filled TES tank charged and discharged quickly. The findings reveal that a TES tank filled with concrete is more efficient than a TES tank filled with slag.

Solar Powered DC Refrigerator for Small Scale Applications 用于小型应用的太阳能直流冰箱

Due to the gradatory reduction and exuberant ingestion of fossil fuels and the subsequent environmental problems, accretive work has been paid to the utilization of renewable energy sources, such as solar energy. Solar Photovoltaic System or Solar Power System is one of the renewable energy systems which uses PV units to convert sunlight into electricity. A DC compressor of 12 V/80 W, 12 V/50 Ah battery, a pair of 12 V/175 W solar panels connected in parallel through a 10 A charge controller was used for the refrigerator. Temperature was programmed to monitor and control the switching states of the DC compressor. This research project has established that the energy required for the real process of a DC refrigerator could be amassed from a renewable energy source at a reduced price and its application can be beneficial in developing countries. ATMEGA16 microcontroller with temperature, weight and momentary sensors interfacing was programmed in C language to control and monitor the ON/OFF states of the DC compressor. In this work, energy can be obtained from renewable energy resources at a reduced cost for the effective operation of a DC refrigerator. Thus, developing countries can also take benefit from its applications.

Mechanical Failure Detection in Induction Motors Using Stator Current and Stray Flux Analysis Techniques 基于定子电流和杂散磁通分析技术的感应电机机械故障检测

Because of its benefits, an induction machine is used in a variety of applications. The machine’s robustness is one of its benefits. Generally, mechanical faults cause torque oscillations, eccentricity, and vibration, which affect the stator current value and magnetic field distribution. As a result, early warning of mechanical failures helps to prevent damage to the induction system or sudden stopping. In this sense, the accuracy of techniques in detecting rolling bearing failure is investigated in this article. The first method focused on stator current analysis and the second on stray flux signature analysis. The aim of this research is to compare the success of the stray flux technique and the stator current analysis in detecting inner raceway faults. In addition, this research suggests a novel method for determining the relationship between two signals based on a transfer function estimate and magnitude-squared coherence between current and flux. Experimental tests were realized in a laboratory to artificially create the bearing damage. After that, the analysis focused on characteristic harmonics related to the different harmonics.

Comparative Study of Optimization Techniques Based PID Tuning for Automatic Voltage Regulator System 基于PID整定的自动调压系统优化技术比较研究

A comparative study is performed to design an optimal PID controller for an automatic voltage regulator system using different optimization techniques. The presented approaches are referred to as particle swarm optimization (PSO) algorithm, cuckoo search optimization (CSO) algorithm, moth flame optimization (MFO) algorithm, water cycle optimization (WCO) algorithm, teaching–learning-based optimization (TLBO) algorithm, and hill climbing optimization (HCO) algorithm. Transient response parameters, which are rise time Tr, settling time Ts, and percentage overshoot Mp, are used as comparison criteria. The integral time absolute error ITAE is the used performance index. All the proposed optimization techniques improved the transient response of the AVR system in a different way and gave good preliminary results.

Dynamic Model to Expand Energy Storage in Form of Battery and Hydrogen Production Using Solar Powered Water Electrolysis for Off Grid Communities 在离网社区利用太阳能水电解以电池和制氢形式扩大能量储存的动态模型

In this model, we used a 50 WP photovoltaic panel to produce electrical energy. This electricity production was used directly and stored in a battery. In this design, we coupled batteries and hydrogen as a means of storing energy. In case of overcharging the battery, it will be attached with water electrolysis to convert the excess amount of chemical energy of the battery into hydrogen energy storage. Hydrogen will be stored as a compacted gas and in chemical storage. We used PEM (proton exchange membrane) electrolysis technologies to breakdown water molecules into hydrogen and oxygen, which were then stored in the designed tanks. Different supply voltages were used in our practical readings, with an average gaining of 22.8 mL/min on a voltage supply of 2. While using Ansys simulation software, we extrapolated hydrogen production until reaching 300 mL/min on 12 V of supply (which represents 220% higher production). By using the second phase of this model, hydrogen energy was converted back into electrical energy with the help of a PEM (proton exchange membrane) fuel cell when needed. This model explores the feasibility of energy storage in the form of hydrogen and chemical energy for off-grid communities and remote areas comprising batteries, water electrolysis, and fuel cells. This electricity production was used directly and stored in a battery. In this design, we coupled batteries and hydrogen as a means of storing energy. In case of overcharging the battery, it will be attached with water electrolysis to convert the excess amount of chemical energy of the battery into hydrogen energy storage. Hydrogen will be stored as a compacted gas and in chemical storage. We used PEM (proton exchange membrane) electrolysis technologies to breakdown water molecules into hydrogen and oxygen, which were then stored in the designed tanks. Different supply voltages were used in our practical readings, with an average gaining of 22.8 mL/min on a voltage supply of 2. While using Ansys simulation software, we extrapolated hydrogen production until reaching 300 mL/min on 12 V of supply (which represents 220% higher production). By using the second phase of this model, hydrogen energy was converted back into electrical energy with the help of a PEM (proton exchange membrane) fuel cell when needed. This model explores the feasibility of energy storage in the form of hydrogen and chemical energy for off-grid communities and remote areas comprising batteries, water electrolysis, and fuel cells. Our work consists of designing a dual-band planar antenna based on meta-materials for 5G applications. We propose a design approach consisting of a deposited patch antenna on an FR-4 type monolayer substrate placed above the CSRR cells based on the meta-materials working in millimeter wave. Thereafter, we will do a parametric study to extract the various parameters that influence its electromagnetic behavior. The studied and designed antenna aims to be used for 5G phone applications in the frequency band 3.3–3.8 GHz and Wi-Fi. The design is carried out by CST Microwave Studio software.

An Investigation into Pricing Policies in Smart Grids 智能电网价格政策研究

One achievement in smart grids is the construction of smart cities. In this kind of city houses are equipped with smart meters that can record electric energy as well as transmit and accept data regarding energy utilization and prices to consumers. Additionally, new methods, known as real-time pricing of electricity, have been introduced in which energy prices change based on an hourly timeline and depend on consumers’ energy requests. Due to the production of electricity by PV panels, a smart grid will share the surplus of the energy provided by the panels to the grid. These pricing policies will force and encourage consumers to track their power consumption and use renewable energies. In this paper, the impacts of pricing policy on the reduction in consumers’ power consumption are investigated. A small-scale smart city is presented and a policy is applied to it. Additionally, an implementation through a simulation of some houses equipped with renewable energy sources is done to study their effect on the grid performance.
