The article discusses the problem of verbalization of mystical experience according to Agnė Budriūnaitė’s work. Despite the fact that the phenomenon of mystical experience is non-linguistic, it remains related to the language, because experiences are interpreted inevitably. Finally, the article highlights the conception of Oneness as “non-religious non-experience”, which can be described as a universal and unique “experience” at the same time, because “the experience” of Oneness is inevitably interpreted in the particular religious and cultural contexts.

The article discusses presentation, representation and simulation as ontological states of image. To identify and describe these statuses the author analysed Ch. Wulf“™s, J. L. Marion“™s, J. Baudrillard“™s texts. The article discusses a relation between image and the crisis of reality. A specific attention is given to the case of icon as an image which presents. This article investigates the power of an image to establish, restore and deny reality, it also analyses the ontological potential of the phenomenology of image.

The article discusses relations between the nuns of Kaunas Benedictine convent and the bishop of Vilnius diocese Kontantinas Kazimieras Bžostovskis (Konstantyn Kazimierz Brzostowski), a controversially treated personality in historiography due to his political activities. The research is based on handwritten sources and covers the period from 1687 to 1722. The article reveals the way the bishop of Vilnius diocese took care of spiritual and material issues of Benedictine nuns, discusses reforms that took place in the convent and, lastly, shows how all of that affected the life of the nuns.

The article highlights the relevance of evaluating Church’s communicative message, and defines theological evaluation parameters as well as criteria and indicators that validate them. Methodology of the research paper: logical and systematic analysis of scientific papers and Catholic Church’s documents. Research findings and results: the main theological evaluation parameters for the assessment of Church’s communicative message quality and efficiency were developed. The criteria that validate the communicative message of the Catholic Church are: 1) dialogue; 2) Christ-centricity; 3) testimony of life; 4) invitation to the basic community of the Church.

The changes in the structure of the capitula of Vilnius cathedral, initiated in the 19th century and implemented by civilian authorities, are the result of confessional policies of the Russian Empire in regard to the Catholic Church, carried out after the partitions of the Republic of Both Nations in the lands of the Grand Duchy of Lithuania. Relying on historiography and primary sources, aspects of structure and organization of the capitula of Vilnius cathedral, that had influenced the development of this corporation of clergy and diocese, are analysed.

By mentioning non-linear theology as a project, C. Kavaliauskas reveals how to enrich Catholic theology with methods of exact sciences. The turning point in physics, when physicists started mastering the most complicated non-linear phenomena of the reality, was the reason why C. Kavaliauskas called theology “non-linear”. Synergetic processes could be mentioned here as well. According to the theologian, the analogue of the Gospel is Jesus Christ himself, who is absolutely free, sublime, merciful, carrying God’s Filiation, bringing back to life the ones who were fallen and dead, praising the man and sacrificing His life on the cross. C. Kavaliauskas mentions endless generosity, defeating the death, resurrection, opening of the eternal life and our redeeming in the revelation of God.

The article revelas the links between politics and faith in Christian calling, discusses theological traditions on the relation between politics and religion, highlights the message of the Feast of Christ the King for the politicians of democratic states, defines the notion of political participation in Church’s teaching. By listening to Church’s teaching and carrying out God’s will and serving the society Christian laymen, citizens and politicians of democratic states must reconcile the interdependence of politics and faith.

The Feast of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary is one of the most Catholic popular feasts in Lithuania and Latvia. In Lithuania it is prominently celebrated in Krekenava and Pivasiūnai and in Latvia – in Aglona. In this feast it is so many local cultural of the ritual identities. Among the nations they are complement each other and give the results of the research validate the hypothesis, set at the beginning of the research, that the culture of the ritual of the Feast of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary in Lithuania (Krekenava and Pivasiūnai) withal Latvia (Aglona) reveals in Aglona a plenty spectrum of sacred places and religious songs and all these countries united piety picture of The Blessed Virgin Mary and the pray of the Blessed Virgin Mary rosary.
