This research paper explores sustainable food practices, focusing on the Bhagavad Gita, an ancient Indian scripture. Sustainable food practices promote environmentally responsible, socially equitable, and health-conscious approaches to food production and consumption. The Bhagavad Gita, a 700-verse Hindu scripture, is a foundational source of knowledge for sustainable food practices. It emphasizes vegetarianism, eating in sync with the sun, and spiritualizing food through offerings to God. The study uses a mixed-methods approach, incorporating qualitative and secondary data sources. The ndings reveal that food is not just a source of physical nourishment but a means to connect with divine consciousness. The principles of maintaining a vegetarian diet, aligning meal timings with the sun, and spiritualizing food through offerings to God are fundamental principles. These principles are relevant for health and the well-being of spiritual tourists, and the concept of intermittent fasting, known as "vrat," aligns with modern recommendations for healthy living. The ndings provide valuable insights for the tourism and hospitality industries, emphasizing the importance of catering to the unique dietary needs of spiritual tourists.

Pregnancy is one of the important and beautiful phase in women's life. While experiencing the pregnancy women endures the intense physical and anatomical changes in her body. Kikkisa is one such ailment which occur during the 7th month of pregnancy or 2nd trimester of pregnancy; affecting the skin of the belly, breast region, groin region, and backside as well. According to the Ayurveda kikkisa is skin disorder associated with Garbotpeedana(foetus growth), Kandu( itching) and Vidaha (burning sensation). Is is more commonly correlated with Striae gravidarum where scarlike lesions appears on the breasts, thighs, abdomen, and buttocks. Skin conditions that develop during pregnancy can be dangerous to the woman for a very long time and affect how others perceive her face. So the present study aims to evaluate the etymology of Kikissa(Striae Gravidarum) according to both traditional and modern aspects so as to develop the effective management therapy for the natural maintenance of skin and body.

Along with the air, soil, water; food is also contaminated with the traces of various chemical agents contained by the pesticides, fertilizers, food preservatives, coloring agents, stabilizers. This leads to cumulative poisoning. Cumulative poison remains inactive for longer time in body. Such latent poisoning caused due to polluted soil, irregularities in daily routine, contaminated food, air, water, complies the denition of Dushi Visha (latent poison) in Ayurveda which is inclusive of Dushtit desh (soil), Kaal (time), Anna (food). Swedan Upkram (whole body steam) followed by Vaman (emesis) and Virechan (purgation) are Shodhan (detoxication) treatments mentioned in Ayurveda, which is elimination of such poison from upper and lower natural orices. This is recommended by Sushrutacharya and Vagbhatacharya. Aim of this review is to understand the role of Swedan upakram (whole body steam) which is also called sauna nowadays or heat stress, in the treatment of Dushi visha (latent poison). Study of literature and available research work was pursued to understand the mechanism of action of swedan upakram (whole body steam) in the treatment of Dushi visha (latent poison). Heat stress followed by homeostasis achieved helps in the detoxication of latent poison from body.

Testicular torsion, a critical urological emergency, poses the risk of testicular loss, emerging as the most signicant acute scrotal condition. The bell clapper deformity, characterized by inadequate testicular attachment to the tunica vaginalis, augments testicular mobility, creating a predisposition to torsion. The resulting twisting of the spermatic cord leads to venous compression, edema, and eventual ischemia due to arterial occlusion. Neonatal torsion follows an extravaginal pattern, with two peak incidences, notably during puberty. Clinically, patients experience sudden, intense testicular or scrotal pain, often accompanied by nausea and vomiting. Diagnosis primarily relies on clinical ndings, supported by the TWIST score, and, in equivocal cases, scrotal Doppler ultrasound. Management entails immediate urological consultation, with surgical interventions such as detorsion and orchiopexy for viable torsion or orchiectomy for nonviable cases. Manual detorsion before surgery can salvage the testicle, and the debate over the necessity of bilateral orchiopexy persists. Appendiceal torsion, common in boys aged 7 to 12, is clinically diagnosed, managed with analgesia and scrotal support, with surgery (appendage removal) considered for persistent pain. Intermittent testicular torsion presents as acute, sharp pain with rapid self-resolution, recurring intermittently in boys. In a review, 26 percent experienced nausea or vomiting, and 21 percent reported nocturnal pain. Physical signs include mobile testes, anterior epididymis, or a bulky spermatic cord. Clinical and radiographic evaluations may be normal, emphasizing the need for follow-up on recurrent or worsening pain. Ultrasound, while up to 75 percent sensitive, often shows normal ndings, underscoring the diagnosis's clinical nature. Immediate follow-up is crucial, and a seven-day reassessment is recommended if initial evaluations are unremarkable. Awareness of intermittent torsion aids timely intervention, preventing complications and ensuring optimal care for affected individuals.

Skin incisions are made traditionally with scalpel. The cutting diathermy for making surgical incision has met with scepticism because of possible excessive scarring, impaired wound healing, higher risk of SSI. This study was undertaken to compare the outcomes of diathermy and scalpel skin incisions in patients undergoing varied abdominal surgery in terms of incision time, blood loss, postoperative pain, wound healing, postoperative wound complications and patient's compliance. Patients and methods: One hundred patients of either sexes were considered in this prospective, comparative study in patients undergoing abdominal surgeries. The study population was divided into two groups of 50 patients each to compare the outcomes of diathermy and scalpel skin incisions in patients undergoing varied abdominal surgery in terms of incision time, blood loss, postoperative pain, wound healing, postoperative wound complications and patient's compliance. Results and observations: The Mean duration of Incision in the Diathermy group was 13.34±5 62 secs and that of Scalpel group was 20.71±6.87 secs with 95% condence interval of 4.74 – 9.74. Incision time was less in electrocautery group (P <0.001). The mean value of incision related blood loss in electrocautery group was 3.66± 2.15 and scalpel group was 11.58±4.83ml( P <0.001). Post operative pain, complications, scar compliance are comparable in both groups. Conclusions: The diathermy is the ideal method of incision in high-risk patients, where both the blood loss and operating time are at a premium. Diathermy incisions heal like that of scalpel incisions and is comparable to each other.

Kachchh district falls under the Arid Bio-geographic Zone of the country having distinct oristic and faunal composition due to its distinct climatic condition. Now in recent decades, the changing climatic conditions and several anthropogenic activities have led to the unknowingly loss of several plant species. Climbers are one among the unique oristic compositions of the dryland habitat of Kachchh which are distributed in all types of habitats. With the loss of many of the host species in their natural habitat, climbers are facing threats to their survival at present. Therefore, the study has been carried out to assess various threats on climbers, to mitigate and conserve the native climbers' species of this landscape. Threats on climber's species were made using the rapid threat assessment (RTA) technique. The survey observed different types of threats on climbers, including; habitat loss, intensive resource use, harvesting for food and medicine, infra-structure development, invasion, etc. Among the climber species of the district; Corallocarpus epigaeus, Ipomoea muricata, Tinospora cordifolia as the highest risk, while Bougainvillea spectabilis, Merremia aegyptia, Ipomoea pescaprae has the lowest risk. The study concluded that climbers are an ecologically important ora distributed in all habitats of the district and the intensity of threats was found to vary from species to species and also among the habitats of its distribution. Therefore, suitable conservation measures need to be adopted preferably for the species and habitats which are comparatively facing more threats.
