In this paper, we describe a newly developed RGB signal infrared connection unit which can be used to connect a PC and a display device such as a projector. The connection is wireless, utilizing infrared ray technology. The connection unit consists of a transmitter and a receiver. It enables the sending of a full color RGB signal (VGA mode, 640x480 dot) over a maximum of 5 meters.

New implementation techniques of DCT-based JPEG image compression software is proposed The techniques make effective use of RISC architecture and data of the quantized DCT domain representation. As a result, 640 x 480 (VGA size) YCbCr images in the 4:2:2 format can be encoded and &co&d in about 0.5 seconds by using a 32-bit RISC CPU and DRAM.

A new de-interlacing algorithm is proposed, suitable for high-quality flicker-free display of television images, for matrix type of displays, and as a basis for scan-rate conversions. The algorithm applies motion estimation and compensation techniques to achieve a high performance for moving and stationary image parts. This paper provides details of the new algorithm and an evaluation showing the relative performance of the proposal and a set of newly proposed and/or commercially available methods.

Watermarking digital images is a technique used to label the images by hiding copyright or other information into the underlying data. The watermark should be undetectable by all users except for the author and must be robust to various signal manipulations (JPEG compression and rescaling). In this paper we present a new technique which achieves this goal, based on the multiresolution representation of the image. In the time-frequency domain the data is changed in a close vecinity of a specific vector. The method doesn't need the original image for

In this paper, we propose a new real-time variable bit rate (VBR) MPEG2 video coding algorithm. In this algorithm, we define a bit allocation function that is the relationship between number of generated bits and quantizer scale. And the quantizer scale of the next picture is decided to satisfy the bit allocation function. We evaluate the proposed method with computer simulation and MPEG2 real-time encoder. I
