The number of Mobile Money subscribers is on ascendency in Ghana even though the service is a new phenomenon. This has provided opportunities for all manner of people to act as mobile money vendors within the sector for various economic reasons. The study therefore sought to examine the impact of Mobile Money Transfer (MMT) business on the socioeconomic impact of Mobile Money (MM) vendors in Ghana. The variables used to assess the socioeconomic impact on vendors include: income levels, employment characteristics and the standard of living. The study also assessed some of the relevant challenges facing MMT service within Takoradi that are likely to affect their activities. The research approach was a quantitative (through questionnaire) where a descriptive research design was adopted for the study. The population of the study was MM vendors in Takoradi of which a sample size of one hundred and four respondents was chosen for the analysis with the aid of SPSS software. The responses revealed that there is a significant effect of income levels, employment characteristic sand standards of living on the socio economic status of the MM vendors in the study area. The results also show that network and system challenges as well user unfriendliness negatively affect the service delivery within Takoradi. Although MMT service is relatively a new field in Ghana, it has unlimited exploration potentials within which one can study for further research for academic, government agencies, corporate bodies, NGOs and other fields of interest. The study therefore recommend that Bank of Ghana, Ministry of Communication and National Communication Authority and other policy makers take critical measures to ensure that MM operators address these challenges to improve upon the quality of service delivery in the sector since that significantly affect the activities of MM operators in Ghana.

The research work deals with to join two dissimilar aluminum alloys by solid state welding process compared to fusion welding processes and compared with fusion welding process, fusion welds tend to produce more defects while joining dissimilar materials. The major problem of the two dissimilar metals involve in welding process have different mechanical properties and microstructures which in turn may affect welding parameters like weld current, hold time, weld force etc. In order to overcome these issues, Friction Stir Welding (FSW) can be used to get rid of defects since it uses a non-consumable tool and also produces defect free welds compared to other welding processes. This thesis work aims to joining an aluminum alloy of 2024 and aluminum alloy of 6061. The plates are joined by means of octagon probe tool made of high carbon high chromium steel (D2 tool steel). Other issues while welding dissimilar aluminum alloys are phase transformation change and selection of welding parameters (rotational speed, transvers speed, pin diameter, shoulder diameter, D/d ratio and etc.) From conducted trail experiment aluminum alloy of 2024 and aluminum alloy of 6061 by using octagon probe tool made by HC-HCR tool it was observed that a lower welding speed 500 rpm at starting stage lack of filling took place and after thermo-mechanical heating took place that produce better weld while compared to weld at higher speeds (710 rpm, and 1000 rpm) with same transvers speed of 20 mm/min.

Laundry is a business in the service sector that offers clothes washing services. The tracking system at laundry outlets currently still uses a manual tracking system. The laundry status tracking information system is a system that can make it easier for laundry service users and computerized laundry service business owners. This system can facilitate the process of laundry activities in providing information on the status of laundry to customers. This laundry status tracking information system is built with a codeigniter framework as a framework and uses the SDLC (Software Development Life Cycle) method. Codeigniter is a framework for developing a web-based application with the PHP programming language which aims to speed up the process of making web-based applications by utilizing the provided libraries. The results of the laundry status tracking application prototype have a feature to send messages directly to WhatsApp when the laundry status changes. Order data will be inputted first into the application. The expected result of this application is that the laundry service business transaction process can run more practically and quickly so that it can make it easier for customers to track the laundry process and make it easier to manage data and laundry services.

The research was on the role of ICT in the growth of Small and Medium Enterprise in Ghana at Blash Enterprise in Kumasi. Descriptive survey was used and the purposive and the systematic methods of sampling were used to select the study units. A questionnaire was used for the employees while the Branch Manager, and the other staff purposively selected were interviewed in addition to responding to questionnaires. The study revealed that most Ghanaian SMEs are employing at least one of the following ICT tools in their business, i.e. mobile phones, fixed line, internet or postal box. Whiles mobile phone usage seems to be high, internet and fixed lines usage are still low. Mobile phones popularity among Ghanaian SMEs could be attributed to its mobile nature and easiness of use. Most of these SMEs use these mobile phones primarily for making voice communications and short messaging service (SMS). However the use of computer and the internet by SMEs are still low as only 30% among the respondents use computers in their business.

Libraries have long been very crucial to our search for information. To this day though google has taken over, libraries still play a very important role in the academic society especially with the provision of study space. Whatever the size of a library is it can be digitized to meet the specified standard. The need for digital librarianship was advocated for during the inception of the internet and the world wide web. It takes a lot of commitment, concerted effort and interest form management, policy makers and the government at large to convert the traditional library and a digital and sustain it as well. Creating a digital library also require the services of experts and technicians within the information technology jurisdiction and the training of library staff. The prolific use of Facebook, high powered servers, high specification smart phones, Instagram, Whatsapp have all brought about the necessity for the digitization of the library.
