Nowadays, there are many thoughts, attitudes and movements related to signs of radicalism. This phenomena have the potential actions that strengthen intolerant actions or reinforce acts of terrorism in the name of religion. This study was conducted to answer two problems: typology of radicalism, and way of combating radicalism in students. The subjects of this study were school principals, Islamic Education teachers as school spiritual leaders, students, and educational communities related to student activities. Data of this study were collected by methods of observation, questionnaires and indepth interviews. The results show that typology of radicalization consisted of three phases: transformation (students receive and listen to explanations about radicalism), internalization (they believe and conceptualize the radical values into a value system), and characterization (the values of radicalism have already entered the students). Islamic teachers had a central role in combating the radicalism in students at school. Islamic teachers were not only those who taught the Islamic teaching in the class based on the written curriculum, but also those who educated Islamic values as the hidden curriculum as well as those related to students activities outside of school.

Being as a nation that exhibits pluralism, Indonesia has a potential for conflict. The fundamental causes of conflict between one region and another are similar. Some are triggered by economic inequality, political feuds, or religious contestation. The various conflicts that have occurred in the last few years show a decline in societal value and national crisis. The founding fathers were brilliantly able to agree on a choice on the basis of the state in accordance with the national character, namely Pancasila. Apparently, Pancasila is a common vision needs to be further pursued. Pancasila is a guideline for state administration. Pancasila, as the ideology of the nation, needs to be preserved not only for the integrity of the nation, but also for real benefits in maintaining the integrity of each one Pancasila is the foundation for constructing a multicultural life with Indonesian characteristics.

. Sexual Abuse against Women (SAAW) has increased, but existing norms have not been able to minimize it. There are differing perspectives between feminist thinking and intellectualist interpretation of the causes of SAAW. This study aims to determine the causes of SAAW in the Ash-Shabuny Tafsir and the Australian ulama’s perceptions of its interpretation. This study combined library and field studies with thematic methods. The results showed that Ash-Shabuny's thinking about the causes of SAAW was different from the Textualist and Liberalist Mufassirin. Ash-Shabuny blamed both women and men in the case of SAAW. According to him, the causes of SAAW are: women do not cover their aurat; men and women do ikhtilath, and they both enter people’s homes without permission . This view is shared by Fundamentalist Australian Ulama who tends to blame women. In contrast, according to the Australian Ulama Moderate and Liberal, SAAW is caused by the values in society and weak law enforcement.

. Since the last two decade, we can easily find Islamic talk on women in the digital media. While the piety of women has been much presented by the virtual fatwas, we are witnessing the revival of the syar'i fashion industry which is marketed through online media. Therefore, we propose research question, is there really any correlation between the virtual Islamic fatwa concerning the piety of women with the Islamic women's fashion industry? Using qualitative analysis, and Islamic law perspective, we explore the construction of a woman's piety according to the virtual fatwas; we then illustrate how those fatwas have driven the fashion industry through the Muslim women in the digital world. We decide to choose konsultasisyariah.com, a shari’a consultative site, to depict virtual Islamic discourse’s construction concerning the Muslim women’s piety. The research finding has shown the piety of Muslim women is generated from the Islamic orthodoxy perspective on women in Islam. In addition, the piety of women is mostly determined by symbolic attributes, such as veil or hijab which then as produced by the Muslim women's fashion industry. Therefore, the virtual fatwas over Muslim women seems to be a theological advertisement for the shaping of Islamic fashion’s e-commerce.

. This paper argues for the existence and demonstrates the way of composing macapat in Javanese Islamic tradition. It examines several not fully explored texts in several early modern Javanese manuscripts written by pesantren agents. To examine those manuscripts which were written roughly in the range from 1700-1900, the research starts with philological study. Then, it employs the framework proposed by Davaney [1] in analyzing the dynamic process of culture. In conclusion, the paper shows that not only does macapat exist in pesantren, the Islamic traditional education body has also played an important role on the dissemination of the traditional song especially for transmission of religious teachings. The research also discovers that the agency of pesantren actors to popularize Arabic kitabs and to ease the process of study those books leads to the rendering Arabic kitabs into macapat in Javanese. Thus, this paper shows that the pesantren tradition is part of the formation of what is called “Javanese culture”.

PT. Takaful Indonesia, as the first sharia insurance company in Indonesia, was established in 1994. Based on the data of the Financial Services Authority of Indonesia, there are currently 55 takaful companies in Indonesia. The law governing takaful is The Law of the Republic of Indonesia Number 40 the year 2014 about Insurance. Sharia insurance is also regulated in other regulations, such as in The Regulation of Capital Market Supervisory, The Regulation of Minister of Finance and Fatwa of the Indonesian Ulema Council. Although the takaful industry was established in 1994, there are still many problems with Indonesia's takaful operations. Among them, there are no specific laws on takaful, limited jurisdiction of the Shariah Supervisory Board and lack of explanation of the Shariah Supervisory Board's mechanism. This research aims to analyze the problems inherent in the jurisdiction of the Sharia Supervisory Board of the takaful industry in Indonesia. Qualitative research methods are used to analyze library data relating to sharia compliance at takaful companies and conduct interviews with related parties. This research found two issues in the jurisdiction of the Sharia Supervisory Board of the takaful industry in Indonesia. The problems are legal issues and institutional issues. Therefore, this study proposes regulatory improvements that can support sharia compliance.

. This research focuses on optimalization of Islamic boarding school “pesantren” education. There is one important element that has faded from “pesantren”, it is the mastering and understanding of kitab kuning.
