The aim of the work is to research the chemical composition of surface watercourses in the Slavsky district of the Kaliningrad region in the winter hydrological season, and to compare the results with the data previously obtained by the authors for the autumn hydrological season and partly for the summer hydrological season. Watercourses and monitoring points for research have been identified: r. Zlaya, r. Shluzovaya, r. Nemoninka and r. Osa. In the winter season, water samples were taken, hydrometric characteristics were measured, and primary hydrochemical indicators were determined. On the basis of the obtained hydrochemical data, integral indicators were calculated to assess the quality of water, using combined lists of maximum permissible concentrations of pollutants. When monitoring hydrochemical indicators, it was revealed that the studied watercourses are, to one degree or another, subject to pollution. The water quality class in them varies from "moderately polluted" to "extremely dirty". When comparing the seasons, a tendency was revealed to improve the quality of water, which is associated with the water content of rivers, as well as with the cycles of natural and anthropogenic activity. The work has theoretical and practical significance. The data can participate in the planning of rational use of natural resources and the selection of measures to improve the geoecological state of the river network of the Slavsky region. The research can serve as a supplement to the formation of the general geoecological picture of the Kaliningrad region.

The tourist and recreational needs of the population are major factors in the tourist and recreational space creation. The identification of needs should be systematic and involve all components of tourism and recreation. The relevance of this paper due to the need to provide scientific support to the processes of spatial planning and management of tourism and recreation in the Kirov region. The regulators currently overlook the recreation focusing only on tourism. The aim of this examination is study of the needs of Kirov region population and research on the specificities of the organization of recreational activities of the population in enterprises, in free time after work, on weekends and during long vacation. The survey has been used in order to achieve the objective. The survey was conducted among 2125 persons in online form. Several types of questions have been selected to identify features of inclusive and daily recreation, recreational activities on weekends and during long vacation. In addition, the attitude of residents to the advantages and disadvantages of rest within the Kirov region, the sums of money allocated for leisure and travel, and the attitude to services of travel firms were determined. The results have been found out the low level of satisfaction with leisure activities in the workplace, a lack of recreational areas and occasional breaks, which have a negative impact on overall productivity. The organization of recreational activities on weekends and vacation is less problematic for residents, but is often implemented in the cheapest and passive forms and on an independent basis. The research results can be used to improve the processes of territorial planning and management of the regional tourist and recreational system of the Kirov region.

The purpose of this work is to show the possibilities of regional geomorphological and geological-geophysical methods for studying the tectonic and geomorphological features of the structure of central-type ring structures on the territory of the Middle Urals (Tatarstan, Udmurtia, Bashkiria, Kirov Region) and adjacent regions of the Komi-Permyat Autonomous Region, allowing to study the oil and gas prospects of these territories. According to the results of geological and geophysical interpretation of the data of magnetic exploration, gravity exploration and heat flow, the deep structure of the root inhomogeneities of the Voy-Vozhsky ring geomorphological structure of the central type, one of the analyzed in the territory of the Middle Urals, is shown. It is assumed that the intersection points of tectonic faults of the Earth's crust (geomorphological liniments) located in the side zones of circular geomorphological structures of the central type on the territory of the Middle Urals and adjacent regions can be promising objects of geological and geophysical research in search of oil deposits. Gas fields can be confined to the central zones ("pipes" of mantle degassing) of circular geomorphological structures of the central type.

European spruce ( Picea abies (L.) Karst.) is widespread in Europe. It is of interest to study its biological characteristics in the eastern part of the range, where it transforms into an intermediate form with Siberian spruce. Phenotypic traits of spruce in this area have so far been studied mainly by visual and descriptive techniques. The aim of the study is to study the variability of the main systematic characters, diversity and phenotypic structure of European spruce in the east of the range using mathematical and statistical techniques. This approach made it possible to objectively assess the parameters of its systematic characters, their relationship, and also to identify three significantly different groups of populations. It is shown that in this area the average length of spruce cones is in the range from 80-85 to 100-114 mm. The coefficient of narrowing of the upper part of the seed scales ( C ) is 25-35%, the coefficient of projection ( C ) is 60-80%, their difference ( C- C ) is -25… -55%. The value of the individual variation in the length of cones and the C index is 12-15%, C index is about 20%, and C-C is 30-35%. The intrapopulation coefficient of negative correlation of C and C indices has an average level (-0.3…-0.6). Their correlation between populations is much higher (-0.9). In the geographic variability of indicators of the shape of seed scales and the length of the cones, there is a correlation of the average level. The frequency of individuals of European spruce phenotypes in the populations of the groups P. ab, P. ab×ab×m., P. ab×m., Distinguished by the metric parameters of seed scales, is 98-100, 85-95, 57-70%, respectively. The research results can be useful for forestry and in substantiating the identified intraspecific taxa.

Based on research results 2018-2020 the species composition was established and the analysis of the fauna of weevils (Curculionoidea) of the Talovskaya steppe site of the Orenburg natural reserve was carried out. The research area is located in the very south-west of the Orenburg region near the border with Kazakhstan, in the subzone of the southern steppes of the East of the Russian Plain. 199 species of weevils from 4 families were identified (27 % of the fauna of the Orenburg region). Of these, 9 species are first reported for the fauna of the Orenburg Province. The characteristic features of the weevil fauna of the Talovskaya steppe are: a high proportion of Central Palaearctic species (35 %) (with an insignificant participation of Western Palaearctic forms); a sharp predominance of species of the subboreal complex (steppe and desert-steppe) (58 %) (with a very small number of forest species) and a noticeable proportion of species of the halophilic complex. The data presented in the article allow us to consider the fauna of the Talovskaya steppe as a typical southern steppe fauna. It is characterized by a fairly high species richness and the presence of a number of rare species. This is confirmed by the importance of the protected area for the preservation of the peculiar natural complexes of the southwestern outskirts of Obshchy Syrt.

The article analyzes the zonal landscape distribution and the structure of the diurnal lepidoptera ranges on the territory of the Udmurt Republic. The zonal indicators of the dynamics of the species richness of lepidoptera in the region have the following form: the southern taiga - 100 species, the subtaiga as a whole-122 species, including the northern band of the subtaiga-107 species, the southern band of the subtaiga-119 species. The zonal trend is based on the significant participation of the regional fauna of the regional representatives. The general indicators of the numerical participation of structural and arealographic groups in the fauna are as follows: 46 species are located within the generalized part of the area in the region; 22 species are located near the periphery of the area; 42 species are located on the border of the area; 13 species are located on the periphery of the area. The main share of lepidoptera located in the marginal parts of their ranges is made up of southern subboreal (steppe and non-morale) and subboreal-subtropical representatives (72 species). The proportion of such species among the northern geographical groups - the Hypo-Arctic and boreal (16 species) is significantly lower. The most important biochorological units that determine the conditions for the distribution and localization of bulavous are uplands, forest landscapes on the sands, as well as the valleys of large and medium-sized rivers in the southern part of the region.
