The model and numerical simulation of shunting arc ignition 并联电弧点火模型及数值模拟

ID model of the quasi-neutral plasma was developed and used for numerical simulation of the process of shunting arc ignition on the carbon rod of2.0 mm diam. It was found that this approach provides reasonable description of the shunting arc ignition and the discharge current and voltage behavior.

History of vacuum circuit breaker and recent development in Japan 日本真空断路器的历史及发展近况

Vacuum circuit breaker(VCB) have been developed and applied widely to Japan to meet her requirements of increasing energy consumption and also national security of various aspects. As a result, for ultimate examples, a 168kV two break porcelain type or a 100kA one break VCB have already appeared in the Japan and world-wide markets. Especially, VCB interrupts current in a vacuum, and, in its nature, a recycling of material and harmless to human body have been realized and also no global warming effect would be expected. Energy is extremely essential and important for human daily life, and at this moment, a future trend of VCB must be discussed widely. In this paper, the results of the recent development in Japan will be reviewed and the reflection of the results will be stated and the subjects of engineering in the 21st century will be discussed. These must include recycling, harmless to human body and fireless natures of VCB's, and it will be demonstrated that the developmental works of VCB is being very wonderfully conducted in Japan.

Usage of oxide coatings 氧化物涂层的使用

Coatings of oxides of different materials attract attention of researchers at present. In comparison with other high-temperature materials, the oxides have considerable hardness and durability on high temperatures. At present the aluminum oxide Al2O3 and zirconium dioxide ZrO2 are more commonly used spraying materials. Often Al2O3 is preferred because it is harder. Some properties of the aluminum oxide are shown. Wear-resistant properties of Al2O3 coatings had been used in tools production. Aluminum oxide coating is a part of double coating with TiC and Al2O3, which is surfaced on the hard alloy plates of the gas phase. Plates with two-layer coating have got the GCO15 grade.

Influence of steering magnetic field on the time resolved plasma chemistry in cathodic arc discharges 转向磁场对阴极电弧放电中时间分辨等离子体化学的影响

The steering magnetic field of Hauzer ABS cathodes has been shown to influence strongly the composition and plasma density of cathodic arc discharges. Magnetic field shapes comprising an arched component combined with fotwardleading field lines (similar to unbalanced magnetrons) promote a strong ion transport towards the substrates. The arched magnetic field configuration confines a long-life Ar plasma near the cathode, which influences the charge state of metal ions produced by the cathode spot. Through-field magnetic configurations lead to a decreased ion flux to the substrates but a somewhat increased ion charge state. The paper shows that the steering magnetic field in cathodic arc evaporation can be used effectively to control both the magnitude and composition of the ion flux to the substrates.

The duration of arcing following late breakdown in vacuum circuit breakers 真空断路器后期击穿后的电弧持续时间

Vacuum interrupters occasionally show unexpected (late) breakdowns after current interruption. As a result, the interrupter conducts briefly, carrying a high-frequency current due to the discharge of various capacitances in the vicinity of the interrupter. Thanks to the capability of vacuum interrupters to interrupt such high-frequency current, the conduction period is very short (normally in the order of 10 microsecond). In the discussion around the assessment of such late break- downs (often termed non-sustained disruptive discharges in the standardisation literature) regarding the possibility of generation of overvoltage as a result of late breakdown in capacitive circuits, the duration of the conductive period is an important parameter. Experiments were carried Out, in which discharges of various single frequencies (72 kHz - 1.1 MHz) were generated following breakdown (spontaneous breakdowns as well as pre-strike) of two commercial vacuum breakers, stressed with ac voltages well above the rated value. From a statistical analysis, it is demonstrated that the dura- of the discharge depends strongly on the discharge current frequency. At higher frequencies, the duration of the discharge tends to be shorter than at lower frequencies due to the domi- nance of thermal reignitions of the arc at high values of dl/dt over dielectric reignitions, observed only at lower frequencies. For practical circuits, allowing simultaneous discharge from various circuit parts, it was observed that the highest frequency component determines the arc duration. Durations of up to 15 us were observed. This duration is too short to allow significant overvoltages to develop in standard capacitive circuits, the main candidate switching duty to be troubled with overvoltage generation.

Investigation of vacuum switches in parallel circuits with a current pause 带电流暂停并联电路中真空开关的研究

The serial-parallel connections of switches are often used in electrical equipment. Power Parameters and reliability of such devices depend on synchronous operation of parallel circuits, especially during transient processes. The essential improvement of transient processes in parallel circuits (uniform distribution of currents in parallel circuits) can be achieved by coupling between the elements of parallel circuits. The other parameters of switches were chosen so that the commutation unit on the base of vacuum switches would be alternative to the thyristor switch used in the power supply systems of ITER tokamak.

Development of a novel dc vacuum circuit breaker 新型直流真空断路器的研制

A novel DC vacuum circuit breaker (VCB) is developed by means of current commutation. The main circuit¿s operations, opening and current transferring, are undertaken by two vacuum interrupters, which are connected to each end of a rod with a fixed-point in the middle of it. That means when a vacuum interrupter goes to open, another vacuum interrupter will go to close synchronously. The novel DC-VCB is driven by a permanent magnet actuator. This scheme is profitable to the opening speed, and the simplification of the current-transfer control. An electronic-driven system is used to inspect the real-time fault and lo control the actuator in this scheme. The novel DC-VCB system is also simulated in the paper. The experimental results prove the theory analysis, and indicate that the new structure can work exactly and quickly, and the scheme can he put into practice.

Fault arc propagation on aircraft wires under different environmental pressure conditions 不同环境压力条件下飞机导线上故障电弧的传播

Fault ares occurred in damageo wires have been identified as a failure reason for many aircraft accidents. As there are hundreds of kilometers of wiring in a commercial aircraft, the damaged wires are extremely difficult to be detected at aircraft maintenance. Thus more attention on the performance of applied wire insulation in aircraft in the stage of development of the wire insulation is necessary. To cope with the fault type "arc failure" and in order to increase the aircraft safety, various of arc resistance test methods have been developed by different organisations in the last years. But all of them have not taken into account the environmental conditions in an aircraft. Therefore a new test method considering the environmental pressure conditions has been developed. According to this new method, more than 300 fault are tests have-been performed with typical aircraft wire insulations under different environmental conditions. The test results show that the environmental conditions have an important influence on the fault arc behaviour. The detailed test results are presented and discussed in this paper.

Optimization design for actuator of vacuum circuit breaker 真空断路器执行机构的优化设计

The actuator of 10kV, 12.5kA vacuum circuit breaker has been chosen as the investigation object in this paper. The breaking and closing velocity characteristic which are formed form the technical datas of the interrupter are taken as the specifications, the lengths of the connecting rods of the actuator are chosen as the optimization variables. The difference between specifications and the velocities calculated at each breaking and closing point, and the materials costs of those rods compose the multiple objection function. The optimization strategy. of discretized random direction searching method is adopted for solving the optimization design problem. It is shown by comparing the optimization results with the specifications that the optimization technique presented in this paper can be as the reference for actuator design.

The insulation recovery characteristic after current interruption for vacuum interrupter was investigated. We used spiral electrode and axial magnetic field electrode for comparison of structure, CuBi contact and CuCr contact were used for comparison of contact material. In this paper, we discussed reasons of different characteristics for each electrode.
