Developing neoteric composite materials (CM) that improve the acoustic efficiency and mechanical properties become the target of many scientists in the last decade. This paper presents research on developing new CMs using Ethylene Vinyl Acetate (EVA) and sawdust (SD) of different weight concentrations which can be help to improve the acoustic and mechanical properties of the EVA polymer materials. Prototypes of EVA composite in form of flat plates with different weight concentrations of sawdust namely; 0, 2.5, 5, 10, 20 and 30% were produced. One of the interesting applications of this new CMs is to use it as a floor covering in buildings and manufactures. The acoustic efficiency parameters namely, impact noise reduction and sound absorption are experimentally studied. The obtained results articulate that covering floors with the designed composite material of EVA/SD as filler can decrease ISR up to 14 dB. Also, it gives peak sound absorption coefficient about 0.6 for 30 % of SD at mid-frequency band. The greatest proportion of SD aggregate EVA does not entail a higher acoustic performance. The tensile strength of the composite increases to 15.5% when the SD content is 5% and the tensile strength drops with increase the SD content up to 30%. Therefore, SD may be utilized as filler and consolidation in the EVA matrix, which will save expenses and assist the environment.

This article is focused on determination of fixed-end reactions, displacements, internal forces and internal moments for the spatial curved bi-fixed beam with varying curvature and varying cross-sectional area. The objective is to analyze spatially curved beam without involving analytical differentiation and integration of the governing equations. A finite displacement transfer method to analyze spatially curved beam is used to obtain numerically approximate analysis results and to eliminate analytical differentiation and integration, completely. The results of the analysis procedure are compared with the results of other methods found in the literature. For the specific case of the circular helical beam, the fixed end reactions' values have absolute maximum and minimum percentage differences of 1.23% and 0.06%, respectively. For the specific case of the elliptic-helical beam, the fixed end reactions' values have absolute maximum and minimum percentage differences of 1.13% and 0.0%, respectively. The finite difference method, along with the recursive scheme, gives reasonably accurate results without involving complex calculations

An attempt has been made to investigate the effect of antireflection coating containing aluminum nanoparticles over the layer of silicon nitride on silicon surface. In this regard numerical calculations have been performed to obtain reflectance for varying radius (i.e., 50 nm, 62.5 nm and 70 nm) as well as periods (i.e., 100 nm, 110 nm 125 nm, 250 nm and 300 nm) of Al-NCPs using transfer matrix method (TMM). The refractive index of nanoparticles under consideration is wavelength dependent. Inclusion of metal nanoparticles in the antireflection coating has reduced reflectance significantly. Calculated reflectance has been used as an external file in PC1D simulator to study the performance of silicon solar cells.
