Stroke leading to cognitive impairment and memory problems are frequent symptoms that have a substantial impact on the quality of life for survivors. Within a year of the stroke's start, dementia is quite likely to occur in stroke patients. The consequences of stroke on the brain are now being studied, especially in the early stages. It is possible to examine and distinguish between cognitive impairment and dementia after a stroke using a variety of neuropsychological tests. Methodology was to find the association between stroke and memory in young adults diagnosed with acute and chronic stroke. Neuropsychological assessments post stroke memory assessment and mini mental state examination was used with patients from age 18- 59 years; 2 groups each with 10 patients were assessed as a survey. Result came to be strong positive association between PSMA and MMSE in both acute and chronic stroke. The study concluded with memory deficit more in chronic stroke than acute stroke.

Introduction: Endolaser or Endolift, is a technique that uses a laser beam with a wavelength between 980 and 1470nm emitted through an optical fiber inserted into the subcutaneous tissue in order to tone the skin through neocollagenesis and reduce fat subcutaneous. Objective: This study aimed to describe the clinical experience of the authors after four years using the endolaser technique treating different aesthetic disorders, and to this end, it was grouped data on the most treated disorders, personal protocols and treatment results. Methodology: An exploratory research was carried out, presented in a narrative review to show the action of Endolaser used in the treatment of aesthetic disorders. The review explored scientific articles published and available in the following databases: MEDLINE (System for Analysis and Retrieval of Online Medical Literature), PubMed (National Library of Medicine), SCIELO (Scientific Electronic Library Online) and LILACS (Latin American and of the Caribbean in Health Sciences). In addition, some clinical findings obtained through a retrospective analysis of medical records were added to describe the clinical experience of the authors in using Endolaser for treating aesthetic dysfunctions. Results: It was verified that the endolaser technique is extremely effective for reducing localized fat and skin retraction, and is characterized as an eligible procedure for face and neck, as well as for the body. Still, endolaser may be indicated for the treatment of several aesthetic disorders involving lipodystrophies and dermal disarrangement, in addition, associated with other therapeutic resources such as microfocused ultrasound, cryolipolysis, chemical peeling, intradermotherapy and others. The technique is safe and has minimal side effects. Conclusion: As a conclusion, the current popularization of Endolaser is justified by its extreme effectiveness and versatility, as well as its ease usability and minimal adverse effects, producing excellent aesthetic results in the short and medium term, and can also be used alone or associated with other therapeutic resources.

Urodynamics comprises urine flow testing, ultrasound estimation of post-void residual, and Cystometry with filling and voiding phases [1]. Cystometry is the concurrent pressure measurement from the bladder and an abdominal control site, with parallel urine flow measurement. Using conventional water filled catheters, pressures are referenced to atmospheric pressure and the physical height of the external pressure transducer. Cystometry facilitates assessment of detrusor strength, and weakness or obstruction in the tract below. Video Urodynamics (VUDS) adds fluoroscopy to these physiological measurements, and allows differential diagnosis of pathology in Stress Urinary Incontinence (SUI) as well as surveillance of upper tract integrity [2]. A cysto-urethrogram is a non-invasive alternative to VUDS, allowing the whole urinary tract to be visualised during micturition. [3] It sacrifices pressure data, but can include a measurement of flow rate [4]

Background: Menopause is a natural stage in life and part of the aging process. it marks when a woman’s period stops as her ovaries stop producing eggs. Many changes take place in the physiological parameters some of which are known to enhance the risk of vascular-related diseases such as stroke and ischemic heart disease. This study aimed to estimate the platelets count, PT, APTT, fibrinogen level D-dimer, and protein C level among Healthy Menopausal Sudanese Women. Material and methods: This was a case-control study conducted at the laboratory of the national university at Khartoum state during the period of December 2022 to April 2023. Apparently, healthy menopausal women who lost their menstrual period for more than one year were included as a case group, and apparently healthy women during the reproductive period were included as a control group. The platelets were counted by using Automated Hematology Analyzer, Sysmex KX 21N (series SN B 2010), PT, APTT by coagulometer (Automated Bio Bas), Fibrinogen level by using the coagulometer (Automated Bio Bas) by BioMed-Fibrinogen kite BioMed-Fibrinogen kite, I chroma was used for the D-dimer, protein C was measured by using (URIT 660 AESKULISA Protein C and S Microplate read. Results: In the case group the means of platelets count, PT, APTT, Fibrinogen, D-dimer, and Protein C were; (251.3±38.2), (16.9±2.1), (32.9±7.7), (381.0±269.1) (0.59±0.17) and (89.9±16.3) respectively. while in the control group, the means of platelets count, PT, INR, APTT, Fibrinogen, D-dimer, and Protein C were; (291.8±73.5), (13.5±1.5), (31.3±2.7), (212.5±77.3) (0.33±0.12) and (82.2±14.2) also respectively. when comparing the parameters means between the case and control group the results revealed; there was a significant decrease in platelets counts (p. v = 0.001), a significant increase in PT and fibrinogen levels (p. v = 0.000), and insignificant differences for the APTT, D-dimer, and protein C (p. v > 0.05). In addition to that, there was a negative correlation between the parameters and the age and the A menorrhea (p. v > 0.05) Conclusion: In the Sudanese menopausal women, there was a significant decrease in platelets counts, and a significant increase in PT and fibrinogen levels, with insignificant differences for the APTT, D-dimer, and protein C when compared between the case and control group, in addition, the parameters had a negative correlation with the age and the A menorrhea.

Intra-articular fluoroscopically-guided facet joint (FJ) blocks are performed with diagnostic-therapeutic aims, whereas the main focus of ultrasound guided peri-facet joint blocks (USG-PFJB) is pain relief. USG-PFJB will therefore typically utilize higher injection volumes to potentially offer injection spread to other pain-generating structures. This study explores the potential role of USG-PFJBs in the outpatient management of chronic low back pain with our without leg symptoms in patients with MRI-confirmed mild to severe lower lumbar FJ arthrosis. USG-PFJBs were performed on 19 patients, (4 male and 15 females, mean age 55) at the L4/5 and/or L5/S1 segments at paraspinal points of palpable focal pain. All procedures were performed by the same clinician. One patient was lost to follow up and telephone reviews at 2-6 months on the remaining 18 patients, noted that 59.73% experienced significant & sustained pain relief. In conclusion, lower lumbar segment USG-PFJBs appear to be effective treatment option in patients with mild to severe MRI-confirmed FJ degeneration and palpable paraspinal lower back pain and with or without lower limb pain.

Introduction: The presence of free air within the mediastinum, that is not associated with trauma, is known as spontaneous pneumomediastinum [1]. The disease was originally described by Rene Laennec in 1819. The word spontaneous was introduced by Hamman later in 1939.The condition can result from an injury that leads to air leakage into the mediastinum from the lung . Spontaneous indicates that it is encountered in patients with underlying lung diseases or without any medically relevant conditions as compared to that secondary pneumothorax that results from trauma [2]. The pathophysiological mechanisms underlying pneumomediastinum are six: 1) Direct mechanism 2) Hamman-Macklin mechanism 3) Subfascial route (secondary to pneumothorax or chest wall injury) 4) Subserosal route:

The study is an independent retrospective cohort study, the data used were collected after obtaining informed consent from patients and were conducted anonymously online. The study was conducted on a heterogeneous population of patients with chronic obstructive respiratory disease (200 survey responses) who were attending the outpatient pneumology clinic "La Madonnina" based in Reggio Calabria, Italy from May 2021 until May 2022. The survey included ten multiple-choice questions with a single answer allowed and in some questions also the possibility of writing comments, carried out through the Survey Monkey digital platform. The objectives of the study are: 1. To identify the prevalence of symptoms perceived by patients with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD and asthma), 2. The role of the Respiratory Medicine Specialist and General Practitioner in the management of these diseases. 3. The emerging figure of self-management of these diseases is indirectly indicative of a high degree of depression in the population with these diseases, which is still poorly known and addressed by Italian general practitioners. The extrapolated data from the online survey, indicate that there is to date a prevalence of Asthma versus COPD, confirming that the prevalent common symptom is dyspnea, also clarifies that the management of the diagnostic and therapeutic pathway of chronic respiratory diseases is of specialist relevance; the prescribed therapies act mainly on the symptom dyspnea (25.36%).

Physicians use auscultation as a standard method of thoracic examination: it is simple, reliable, non-invasive, and widely accepted. Artificial intelligence (AI) is the new frontier of thoracic examination as it makes it possible to integrate all available data (clinical, instrumental, laboratory, functional), allowing for objective assessments, precise diagnoses, and even the phenotypical characterization of lung diseases. Increasing the sensitivity and specificity of examinations helps provide tailored diagnostic and therapeutic indications, which also take into account the patient's clinical history and comorbidities.
Several clinical studies, mainly conducted in children, have shown a good concordance between traditional and AI-assisted auscultation in detecting fibrotic diseases. On the other hand, the use of AI for the diagnosis of obstructive pulmonary disease is still debated as it gave inconsistent results when detecting certain types of lung noises, such as wet and dry crackles. Therefore, the application of AI in clinical practice needs further investigation.
In the case we present, data integration allowed us to make the right diagnosis, avoid invasive procedures, and reduce the costs for the national health system; we show that integrating technologies can improve the diagnosis of restrictive lung disease. Randomized controlled trials will be needed to confirm the conclusions of this preliminary work.

Background: Bad obstetric history (BOH) a common complication pregnancy, defined as 3 consecutive pregnancy losses prior 20 weeks from last menstrual period. Case Presentation: A 33 years old woman, G4P1A3 hasn’t feel fetus movement since 2 weeks ago, didn’t experience blood coming out from her vagina or contraction on her stomach. Patient had miscarriage two times. In her first pregnancy, she experienced blood coming out of her vagina, bright red coloured. The ultrasound examination showed no vital signs in fetus and had to terminate her pregnancy with misoprostol. Conclusion: BOH affecting approximately 15% pregnancies. It is unknown whether miscarriage happened during pregnancy with a normal fetus or not. To diagnose recurrent miscarriage, several steps are taken, namely ensuring that all prerequisite conditions for pregnancy are met, ascertaining the type and cause of recurrent miscarriage, dealing with specific management, empirical therapy, and assisted reproductive technology.
