Efficient Design of a Low Cost Portable Weather Station 低成本便携式气象站的高效设计

This paper presents the implementation of Arduino weather station that was designed so that people can monitor real time weather data using this weather station. The weather has a vital role in people's mental and physical health. People tend to catch severe diseases when they face difficulties to match up with the weather they are surrounded with. For this, we always need to get updated with the current weather states. And weather station, in this case, made our lives way easier in getting weather readings easily. We can easily get to know about the weather components like temperature, pressure, humidity and wind speed etc. from a weather station. App based weather stations are quite popular nowadays but, they cannot provide real-time values. And for all these reasons, we wanted to come up with this portable Arduino weather station which is able to measure the real values of temperature, humidity, pressure and wind speed. The model contains sensors which are able to give very precise data as were used as the device has to deal with the real and changing values. The main focus was to keep the weather station simple, cheap and user-friendly. So, the wind speed sensor (anemometer) was custom made. And finally, the weather station worked successfully and flawless.

Secret DICOM Communication via Li-Fi using Gould transform and Histogram shifting 利用Gould变换和直方图变换的Li-Fi秘密DICOM通信

In this modern era, stealing information has become an undeniable issue. Especially, stealing Digital Imaging and Communications in Medicine (DICOM) of patients have become frequent in recent times. Hence the security in telemedicine needs to be enhanced. In this paper, to improve the security of medical images, Region of Interest (ROI) has been extracted, and Gould Transform has been applied to it and embedded in the cover image using Histogram shifting technique. Then the secret image has been transcieved via (Light Fidelity «Li-Fi) Visible Light Communication (VLC). To check the robustness of the proposed algorithm, Mean Square Error (MSE) and Peak Signal to Noise Ratio (PSNR) were estimated and validated with the available literature.

Dielectric Material (HfO2) Effect on Surface Potential for CSDG MOSFET 介质材料HfO2对CSDG MOSFET表面电位的影响

This work discusses about the surface potential for the Cylindrical Surrounding Double-Gate (CSDG) MOSFET. This has been done on the basis of analytical 2-D model of the CSDG MOSFET w.r.t. the surface potential. Gradual channel analysis approach has been used in the process of developing the potential descriptive model. The analytical study has been performed using the Hafnium Oxide (HfO2). The HfO2 is a high-dielectric material that is promising to minimise Short Channel Effects (SCE) when interfaced with the existing Silicon Dioxide (SiO2). Therefore combined oxide configurations has been analysed using SiO2 and HfO2. It has been observed that the CSDG MOSFET with combined oxide material is suitable to minimise the SCE and can be used for fast switching operations.

Call Swapping Between Land Line and Mobile Using Wi-Fi 使用Wi-Fi在固定电话和移动电话之间进行呼叫交换

Now-a-days the uses of Land Phones are diminishing in our daily life, but their uses in the institutions and offices can't be avoided. Here we introduce a system which provides interconnection between the mobile phones and landlines using Wi-Fi network. Utilizing the Wi-Fi network of the institute we can create and receive the land line calls through the smart phone itself even if the phone is not in the coverage area of the mobile network. The land phone circuit is modified by a new technology which allows attending the land line calls in the mobile phone, through Wi-Fi link. Anyone can communicate with the mobile user in the institute just by a call to the landline number of the institute. The system gives a provision to call through the landlines using the contacts saved in the mobile phones. The connection can be set and disconnected as user's needs without altering the features in the mobile phones. This system overcomes the difficulty of the landlines to walk and talk. Its additional feature is that, the user who installed this app can access both internet and land line link whereas others can access internet only.

Jitters through dual clocks: An effective Entropy Source for True Random Number Generation 通过双时钟的抖动:真随机数生成的有效熵源

True random number generators (TRNG) have an appreciable demand in key generation of crypto processors. FPGA based TRNGs offer various advantages for generation, packing and storage. Metastability, jitter, race around and memory collision are some of the entropy sources for extraction of true randomness. In this work, jitter extraction is the prime focus for randomness harvesting. Two different frequencies have been generated by Onchip PLL of FPGA which were used in an asynchronous manner for random bit generation. Two Flip-flops have been used in this design after which post processing unit enhances the randomness. Both Von - Neumann Corrector as well as 1D logistic map have been experimented as post processing functions. Randomness of the numbers was tested and ensured by performing entropy analysis as well as NIST tests. This proposed TRNG has been designed using VHDL and implemented on Altera Cyclone II EP2C35F672C6N FPGA consuming 1298 logic elements with a throughput of 26.84 Mbps.

Standard cell libraries are an important part of many of today's integrated circuit (IC) designs. The design of all digital ASICs (Application Specific Integrated Circuit) essentially involves the use of an ASIC standard cell library comprising logic functional primitives such as basic gate functions, complex combinational functions, sequential elements, arithmetic elements and 1I0s. In this paper the work involves, designing standard cell layouts with different cells using fixed height of standard cell template and characterizing standard cells using liberate and generating. lib file for standard cell. This Standard cell library was designed an industry academia chip collaborative project. By using Cadence virtuoso, liberate tools high performance with low power consumption standard cell library was developed.

Comparison of Various Adders and their VLSI Implementation 各种加法器及其VLSI实现的比较

It is profoundly accepted that the main processing unit of any device capable of carrying out computations is the Central Processing Unit (CPU) and the one of the most fundamental and integral part of CPU is an Arithmetic and Logical Unit (ALU) and adders are the primary and indispensable component of Arithmetic Logic Unit (ALU). The ALU is primarily responsible for carrying out the logical operation, arithmetic operations etc. Adders are also very important for Digital Signal Processing (DSP) for filter designing. Nowadays it has become very important to speed up all devices and make them more power efficient for lack of storage of huge amount of power and small in size for mobility. As adders are the main part of all these, it is of prime importance that we modify the adder in order to fetch maximum efficiency regarding - Propagation delay, Area on Chip and Power Consumption. Various adders have been invented so far which specializes in various work platform and they are efficient in their ways. This paper consists a comparative study on various parallel adders and proposes a hybrid adder. All the results of the Adders are carried out in Xilinx 14.7 ISE environment and coded using Verilog HDL. Specific graph and table of the values are given for propagation delay, area, number of transistors required for a better comparison.

An Unsupervised Approach of Paraphrase Discovery from Large Crime Corpus 大型犯罪语料库释义发现的无监督方法

Massive crime reports often comprises valuable structured information regarding crime pattern but manual processing of these massive dataset is quite strenuous and error-prone. These huge dataset can be best exploited by identifying relational clusters of named entities from the crime reports. But often the clusters contain phrases not defining the same relation as the relational characterisation of the whole cluster. Therefore, paraphrasing is performed to filter out those phrases not defining the same relation. Paraphrases are mostly the phrases that reflect the same context in different articulations. Discovering paraphrases from a large corpus is a demanding task for various applications of natural language processing and researchers have been working on it since long time. But none have taken an attempt to perform the paraphrasing task on crime data. In order to deal with the perplexity of the phrases, the present work proposes an unsupervised approach for recognising synonymous phrases or paraphrases from an untagged crime corpus. This work mainly emphasises on the sentences that comprises two entities and each entity pair from different domain is represented as shallow parse tree. The head word from each parsing tree depicts the actual meaning of the phrase and all the phrases with the same headword have been accumulated for each domain of entity pairs. However, many phrases exist that reflects the same meaning without sharing the same headword. So, the objective is to cluster these phrases defining the same meaning by using an agglomerative hierarchical clustering technique. The method presented in this work is an unsupervised approach and it does not need any kind of training samples to work with.

IoT Framework for Secure Medical Image Transmission 安全医疗图像传输的物联网框架

Medical image encryption plays a pivotal role in telemedicine and healthcare applications. Authentication of medical images require a must attention owing to the amount of medical data being communicated and number of digital records being created and maintained. In this work, a server - client model of authenticated medical image communication is proposed. Initially, the AES encrypted medical image is further secured by embedding a One Time Password (OTP) generated through Tent map. This OTP embedded image is shared to the intended user via intranet. Upon receiving the OTP through GSM, the authorized user verifies the similarity of received OTP in mobile and extracted one from the encrypted medical image. After integrity checking, the decryption is performed to retrieve the original medical record. The proposed work of medical image encryption has been developed using python 2.7 and validated by performing entropy, correlation, differential, error metric and NIST test analyses.

Adaptive control of three level active power filter 三电平有源电力滤波器的自适应控制

This paper presents diode clamped multilevel inverter as active power filter for elimination of harmonics current present in the nonlinear load. The power circuit of active power filter is comprised of three level DCMLI with DC bus capacitors. The active filter absorbs harmonics current of load and to inject reactive current requirement of the nonlinear load. Two different control schemes are tailored to estimate the tracking currents of the active power filters. The conventional least mean square (LMS) and adjustable step-size least mean square algorithms are presented for tracking current estimation. The modulation technique based level shift scheme with current regulator is used to track the firing signals for active power filter. The Matlab computer simulation study of active filter with nonlinear load is carried out. The adjustable step size algorithm exhibits improved performance characteristics for an active power filter.
