Many studies highlight human and physical capital’s role in the emergency response and post-disaster recovery phases. Even though social capital also plays a major role in emergency response and disaster recovery. Social capital can reduce disaster risk at the community level, especially for those who live in disaster areas. For this reason, the role of social capital in the emergency response and recovery phase is important, and its utilization must be developed. This study is expected to provide an overview of the role and influence of social capital in emergency response and post-disaster recovery in two different settings, both geographically and in the type of disaster that occurred. The research was conducted using a qualitative approach with a systematic literature review method, data collection was carried out by collecting literature, studies, articles, journals, reports, and previous research related to the role of social capital in post-disaster recovery process. The cases in this study are the eruption in Eyjafjallajökull in Iceland and the earthquake in Gili Trawangan, Indonesia. This review focuses on three forms of social capital, bonding, bridging, and linking, available in disaster-affected communities and how these forms of social capital affect the recovery process of communities affected by disasters. The results show that in both areas, bonding social capital plays the strongest role, but there are differences in the impact of disasters on the condition of social capital in both area.

The Arab world, a region steeped in history and culture, has been inexorably linked with the global oil industry for over a century. Its extensive oil reserves have not only catapulted the region into the international limelight but have also defined the socio-economic, political, and geopolitical landscape of the Middle East and North Africa (MENA). This article embarks on a comprehensive exploration of the historical roots, contemporary status, and multifaceted implications of oil monopolies in the Arab world, transcending mere economics to encapsulate the intricate tapestry of regional dynamics. As a geographical crossroads between Africa, Asia, and Europe, the Arab world's historical importance cannot be overstated. The region has been the cradle of civilization, the birthplace of major religions, and a pivotal hub for trade and knowledge exchange for centuries. However, it wasn't until the early 20th century that the Arab world underwent a transformation that would irrevocably alter its destiny: the discovery of oil.

The increase in movement between zones between sub-districts in the Regency increases in line with economic development in the region. Parongpon sub-district and Ngamprah sub-district are West Bandung regency areas that have increased economic growth which is quite significant in West Bandung Regency. The geometric redesign research between Parongpong and Ngamprah zones has the aim of adjusting the road geometry based on increasing the volume generation and attraction of traffic movement between these zones. The generation and attraction of traffic movement between these zones is dominated by the volume of vehicles with larger dimensions and heavier loads, so that geometric alignment of the road is required based on the standard slope of the vertical alignment and the super-elevation curve of the horizontal alignment. The research method used is quantitative descriptive in geometric design parameters which are developed in accordance with the development of traffic volume and vehicle types. The research results show the Rise and Attract model of movement between Parongpong-Ngamprah zones with the mathematical model shown by the equation Y = 28.064 +0.0003612X1+0.001X2+0.005X3 with R2 = 0.97. With the influence of the generation of traffic volume movement on these roads, of requires adjustment of the super evaluation curve with a larger radius and smaller vertical alignment slope so that the increase in traffic volume from the influence of the generation and attraction of the movement of the Parongpong-Ngamprah zone can be anticipated with fine.

The background described in the introduction section highlights the importance of studying the correlation between the platelet-to-lymphocyte ratio (PLR) and HCV RNA levels in these patients. This research follows an analytical correlational observational design with a cross-sectional approach. The study was conducted at the Internal Medicine Polyclinic of Dr. Mohammad Hoesin Hospital, Palembang. It involved 38 subjects who met the inclusion and exclusion criteria. The primary objective was to determine the correlation between PLR and HCV RNA levels in HIV-HCV coinfected patients receiving DAA therapy. The research findings concluded that there was a decrease in PLR and HCV RNA Viral Load levels in HIV-HCV coinfected patients after receiving DAA therapy compared to before receiving DAA therapy. The Platelet-to-Lymphocyte Ratio (PLR) was directly proportional to the quantitative HCV RNA Viral Load levels in HIV-HCV coinfected patients with a strong correlation value both before and after DAA therapy.
