Design of a novel DC-67-GHz 0.18-μm SiGe BiCMOS power divider 一种新型dc -67 ghz 0.18 μm SiGe BiCMOS功率分配器的设计

A low-loss millimeter-wave Wilkinson power divider has been developed on a 0.18-μm SiGe BiCMOS process. By employing a capacitive loading and slow-wave CPW structure, the power divider can be realized with more compact size and lower insertion loss compared to the conventional Wilkinson power divider. The developed power divider has extremely wideband performance from DC to 67 GHz with less than 1-dB insertion loss up to 61 GHz, amplitude and phase mismatches less than 0.5 dB and 2 degrees up to 67 GHz, respectively, and isolation greater than 15 dB across 37-67 GHz. Specifically at 60 GHz, 0.9 dB of insertion loss and better than 25 dB of isolation are obtained. The core chip size of the power divider is 150 μm × 525 μm.

Preliminary comparison of 3D integral equation based indoor propagation model and ray tracing 基于三维积分方程的室内传播模型与光线追踪的初步比较

This paper presents preliminary work done on developing a 3D full-wave indoor propagation model. The model is based on the volume electric field integral equation (VEFIE) which when discretised by a weak-form discretisation results in a dense linear system whose solution can be expedited through use of the Fast Fourier Transform and a reduced operator. A comparison between the current standard for indoor wave propagation, ray tracing, is made. Very good agreement between the two models is shown.

An adaptive compressed video steganography based on pixel-value differencing schemes 基于像素值差分的自适应压缩视频隐写

Recent developments in both information and communication security have heightened interest in enhancing the embedding capacity for data handling techniques. Although many steganographic techniques, in the literature, have been developed for this purpose, most of them distort the quality of the host-signal during data embedding and the changes will be become visible to the human eye especially for those signals distributed via the Internet which must be processed by a low bit rate compression due to bandwidth limitations. Therefore, the challenge is to create a steganographic technique that is able to hide acceptable amount of data without altering the quality of the host-signal. In this paper, pixel-value differencing (PVD) steganographic scheme and its two modified versions, namely, enhanced pixel-value differencing (EPVD) and tri-way pixel-value differencing (TPVD) were implemented, analyzed and compared in terms of invisibility, fidelity and impact of data hiding on the compression efficiency. Experimental results indicate that the EPVD scheme is capable of providing better performance than other compared schemes.

Pattern and frequency reconfigurable meander line Yagi-Uda antenna 方向和频率可重构曲线图Yagi-Uda天线

This paper presents a pattern and frequency reconfigurable meander line Yagi-Uda antenna for digital terrestrial television reception. To achieve a compact size for installing on a vehicle, the antenna is designed with meander line. The main beam switching and resonant frequency tuning are accomplished by loading two driven elements and four parasitic elements with the short or open of RF switches. The frequency is reconfigured with different electrical length of the driven element. The direction of the beam is shifted by alternating the short or open status of RF switches in parasitic elements.

Experiments on multi-channel spectrum sensing with filter bank realization for cognitive LTE-A systems 认知LTE-A系统多通道频谱感知与滤波器组实现实验

Wideband spectrum sensing is an attractive topic in cognitive radio (CR). Filter-banks are a good approach for wideband sensing with different detection algorithms. A wideband sensing scheme with filter-bank realization was proposed as in [1] for long-term evolution advanced (LTE-A) signals. The scheme is able to detect and classify LTE-A signals in multi-channels in parallel. In this work, we validate the reliability of the scheme in realistic scenarios of mobile communications. Real wideband LTE signals are processed by the scheme with an integrated test-bed for LTE base-stations in emergency situations. The experimental results agree with previous works to approve the reliability of the spectrum sensing scheme. Besides, they lead a successful integration approach of the scheme into LTE base-stations.

MDS (Maximum Distance Separable) code has been studied for a long time in the theory of error-correcting code and has been applied widely in cryptography. Some authors studied and proposed some methods for constructing MDS matrices which do not base on MDS codes. Some MDS matrix transformations have been studied and direct exponent is such a transformation. In this paper, we present some new results on the preservation of the number of fixed points of an MDS matrix under direct exponent transformation. In addition, the important applications of these results will be shown in block ciphers.

Exact error performance analysis of binary space-time block coded cooperative communications systems in Rayleigh fading channels 瑞利衰落信道下二进制空时分组编码协同通信系统的精确误差性能分析

Cooperative communications using the Alamouti space-time block code (STBC) has been mentioned intensively. However, to our knowledge, an in-depth error performance analysis for a space-time coded cooperative communications system, where each node acts as both a source node and a relay node for its partner, has not been reported. Intuitively, cooperative communications would not always be better than direct transmission, but only under certain conditions. This paper first derives an exact performance analysis of the Alamouti STBC cooperative communications for a Binary Phase Shift Keying (BPSK) constellation, which could be extended to a higher density modulation scheme. This mathematical analysis facilitates the source nodes to decide pro-actively whether cooperative communications or direct transmission should be used, depending on the channel conditions between the sources themselves and the channel conditions between the sources and the destination. The anterior knowledge of which transmission mode should be used before nodes actually engage in cooperation is useful to keep system operations as simple as possible, while assuring that cooperative communications is definitely beneficial once it is in place. The analytical error performances are then verified by simulations and in-depth discussions on the simulation results are presented.

This paper presents a wireless power system for Li-Ion battery charger including voltage doubler (AC-DC), voltage linear regulator (LDO) and charging control loop applying multi charging phases method to minimize battery effect. Proposed Li-ion battery charger with input voltage is 6Vp-p at frequency 4MHz, DC output voltage is 4.1V and maximum DC output current is 1.5mA is designed using TSMC 130nm technology for implanted biomedical devices.

A 60-GHz on/off-keying (OOK) modulator supporting up to 2.5-Gbps data rate is presented. The proposed OOK modulator employs the data-dependent impedance cell to improve ON/OFF isolation. Based on a single-stage cascode amplifier, the OOK modulator achieves 36.5-dB isolation and 11.5-dB forward gain, resulting in very high ON/OFF isolation of 48 dB by incorporating the data-dependent impedance cell. The OOK modulator is realized in a 0.18-μm BiCMOS process, occupies 0.95 mm × 0.95 mm with all the test pads and 0.4 mm × 0.28 mm without the pads, and only consumes 4.5 mA at 1.8-V supply voltage (PDC = 8.1 mW).
