THE DEVELOPMENT OF HALAL TOURISM DESTINATIONS MODEL BASED ON ART CULTURE PERFORMERS OF SAPI SONOK MADURA IN PAMEKASAN REGENCY 基于帕梅卡山县萨皮-索诺克-马杜拉艺术文化表演者的清真旅游目的地开发模式

This research aims to create a model for the development of halal tourism destinations based on the perspectives of the actors of the Sapi Sonok culture in Pamekasan, Madura. The challenge for tourism development after the pandemic is forming a concept that adheres to local wisdom. Cultural tradition can inspire the development of tourism destinations without exploiting the values of the local residents. The phenomenological approach was employed through an interpretive paradigm, and four informants were recruited through purposive sampling. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, documentation, and observation. Meanwhile, analysis techniques use bracket; intuitive; analysis; and description. The research reveals, first, the artistic philosophy of the actors forms social cohesion even though there is competition within it. The actors’ philosophy includes beauty contests and the beauty of animals; tancek-guyup, harmony, and gratitude as well as social cohesion. Second, harmonious forms of cultural identity are adapted to local values. Halal tourism communication methods include observation, accessibility, amenities, and promotion of business actors. Finally, the right model is the one to develop halal tourism destinations based on the cultural actors of the Madurese Sapi Sonok culture which refers to the strength of the internal community and external groups.

This research delves into the prospects and obstacles associated with utilizing large-scale data in developing public policies within the Indonesian context. Integrating big data technology holds promise as a tool for government agencies aiming to refine the public policy formulation process, ultimately providing enhanced services to the populace. Despite its inherent complexity and costliness, incorporating big data offers the government a means to furnish the most up-to-date, precise, and granular information pertinent to developmental issues. For instance, in the agricultural sector, big data can offer an intricate understanding of the diverse requirements of farmers in distinct regions, such as the differentiation between rice varieties sought by farmers in Kalimantan compared to those in Java. Furthermore, the expansive reservoirs of geophysical and meteorological big data hold the capacity to significantly bolster the government's initiatives concerning natural disaster mitigation policies. Nonetheless, the practical integration of big data still needs to be improved by a dearth of comprehensive regulations governing its application. Additionally, the perils of recurrent data breaches in the Indonesian context pose a formidable challenge. This comprehensive analysis concludes that using big data in policy formulation within Indonesia encounters substantial hurdles that threaten to overshadow the potential advantages this technology could offer in enhancing public policy crafting.

EXAMINING NETIZENS' VIEWS ON INDONESIAN MUSLIM CELEBRITIES’ WILDLIFE FASHION ON SOCIAL MEDIA 研究网民在社交媒体上对印度尼西亚穆斯林名人的野生动物时尚的看法

This study examines social media users' views on Indonesian Muslim celebrities' who use wild animal materials in fashion. Using a descriptive qualitative method, the researcher utilized Teun van Dijk's critical discourse analysis, which consists of three levels: text level (microstructure), social cognition (superstructure), and social context (macrostructure). The subject of this research was Instagram accounts and YouTube videos of Angel Lelga, Ola Ramlan, and Syahrini wearing wild-animal fashion items. The results found that in the microstructure level, the comments' word choices, emphasis, and details represent commenters' background, intention, and presumption, mostly influenced by halal-lifestyle. In the superstructure level, it can be concluded that most netizens do not understand animal welfare issues sufficiently. Meanwhile, in the  macrostructure, the researcher underlines the notion of power and access, which enables Indonesian Muslims to create a discourse on the halal lifestyle without concerning animal welfare. However, the awareness of animal welfare is also noteworthy, although not significant.

INTERPRETTING INTERCULTURAL COMMUNICATION APPROACH OF INDONESIAN DIASPORA IN TURKIYE 解读印尼侨民在土耳其的跨文化交际方法

The understanding of the importance of intercultural communication carried out by the Indonesian Diaspora in Turkiye can provide an accurate picture of the actual conditions of the processes that occur in intercultural communication between Indonesian culture and Turkish culture. Qualitative descriptive research in this research was carried out with in-depth interviews with three respondents who were in Turkiye. Each represented the Indonesian diaspora in the scope of Government, namely the Cultural Attaché of the Republic of Indonesia, then the Indonesian Student Association in Turkiye, and Indonesian workers who were active in Turkiye. Research reveals that the pattern of the Indonesian diaspora in conducting intercultural communication is by understanding each other between two or more cultures and establishing close relationships in the work environment, study environment, to the social and Government environment, including an approach with adaptability to socializing styles, culinary, to the artistic attractions of each culture. With this understanding and adaptation attitude, it turns out that the Indonesian diaspora also opens up opportunities to become bridging agents in the exchange of two cultures, Indonesia and Turkiye, and shows the occurrence of a two-way intercultural communication process.

Awareness of religious moderation is an important value in Salatiga City as the most tolerant city in 2021. The city has two religious universities, namely IAIN Salatiga and Satya Wacana Christian University. Through social media accounts on Instagram, both universities disseminate information about the existence of the institution. Assuredly, social media management is the main thing in content management, especially regarding religious moderation as a form of religious tolerance in Salatiga. Therefore, this study aims to determine how the social media management of both universities related to religious moderation includes planning, organizing, actuating, and controlling through the case study method.As an educational institution in one field, the awareness to maintain and realize the City of Harmony - Salatiga City with an attitude of religious moderation has been implemented through postings on their Instagram platform. Social media management is not only manifesting religious moderation as a planned image but a practice of daily life. The posts of universities are the result of joint thinking in their respective public relations departments through a brand story strategy with validation before being uploaded.

CONFLICT AND CULTURAL ADAPTATION OF THE ACEH ROHINGYA REFUGEES IN MEDIA OPINION 媒体眼中亚齐罗兴亚难民的冲突与文化适应

Increased political interests in a nation may lead to isolated citizens and conflicts of interest; so that ethnic minorities are oppressed, such as the Rohingya ethnic group in Myanmar. The Rohingya group as a minority in Myanmar, who fled to save themselves in Southeast Asia, were stranded in Aceh almost every year. The process of rescuing and sheltering the Rohingya refugees in Aceh experienced various problems, and one of them was cultural conflicts between the Rohingya refugees and the Acehnese people. The theory used in this study was a symbolic interaction with a descriptive qualitative method, and to understand the Rohingya issues through the mass media, the researchers used the media as data sources. The results of this study revealed that the Acehnese people were eager to save the Rohingya refugees due to religious similarities. Likewise, the regional government in coordination with the central government was also willing to save them on humanitarian grounds. In addition, UNHCR and volunteers from various organizations and non-governmental organizations were also working to serve and taking care of the needs of the Rohingya refugees. There were cultural conflicts between the Acehnese people and the Rohingya refugees due to cultural differences and mutual misunderstanding between their cultures. However, cultural adaptation could occur properly so that the refugees could survive and be comfortable in their daily lives in refugee camps. Cultural differences were an obstacle in the adaptation of the refugees in Aceh, but the similarity of religion was one of the factors of the cultural adaptation.

The Rohingya group as a minority in Myanmar, who fled to save themselves in Southeast Asia, were stranded in Aceh almost every year. The process of rescuing and sheltering the Rohingya refugees in Aceh experienced various problems, and one of them was cultural conflicts between the Rohingya refugees and the Acehnese people. The theory used in this study was a symbolic interaction with a descriptive qualitative method, and to understand the Rohingya issues through the mass media, the researchers used the media as data sources. The results of this study revealed that the Acehnese people were eager to save the Rohingya refugees due to religious similarities. Likewise, the regional government in coordination with the central government was also willing to save them on humanitarian grounds. In addition, UNHCR and volunteers from various organizations and non-governmental organizations were also working to serve and taking care of the needs of the Rohingya refugees. There were cultural conflicts between the Acehnese people and the Rohingya refugees due to cultural differences and mutual misunderstanding between their cultures. However, cultural adaptation could occur properly so that the refugees could survive and be comfortable in their daily lives in refugee camps. The Covid-19 pandemic in Indonesia has not yet stopped and to overcome it the government has made a policy, namely PPKM (Enforcement of Community Activity Restrictions) Level 4 on (July 26 – August 23, 2021) which applies in several regions in Indonesia, one of which is the Province of DKI Jakarta. With PPKM Level 4, various online media, one of which is Kompas.com, is to report it. Therefore, this study aims to analyze the effect of exposure to PPKM Level 4 news on Kompas.com for the period 26 July – 23 August 2021 on the attitude toward carrying out health protocols in UNJ Communication Science students. In this study, the researcher uses the uses and gratifications theory, with quantitative research and survey methods by distributing questionnaires to 77 respondents. The results of this study show that H0 is rejected and Ha is accepted, which indicates that PPKM news exposure is Level 4 The period of July 26 – August 23, 2021 on Kompas.com has an influence on the attitude toward obeying health protocols in UNJ Communication Science students.

WOMEN'S ANNIHILATION IN KIDS TV SHOW “SI BOLANG” 儿童电视节目《四伯郎》中的女性湮灭

Si Bolang has aired in Trans7 since 2006 and achieved various awards as a kids-friendly show. However, this show never showed a girl as its main character and limited the appearance of women or girls. The contents of Si Bolang become a discourse representation of its producer. This research reviewed the women's discourse in the Si Bolang by elaborating on the screen's symbolic annihilation of girls and women. This research used Norman Fairclough's critical discourse analysis method to analyze through three dimensions: text, discourse practice, and social praxis. This research analyzed the full episode of Si Bolang uploaded on YouTube by the official account of Trans7. The perspective framework used in this research is the symbolic annihilation of Gaye Tuchman. The text analysis shows that there are absences of women or girls. They have a limited appearance and only appear in the domestic realm, which is also a form of trivialization. There are discourse practices of femininity, mothering, the culture of domesticity, and the division of work in the hunting-gathering society that influence Si Bolang's content. Women's annihilation and role restriction of women on the screen shows that Si Bolang formed from patriarchal discourse. This discourse tends to eliminate and limit women's role in society. Researchers need to review women's discourse in TV or other media kids' shows to encourage gender equality in Indonesia's media.

THE INVISIBLE HAND PROGRAM BY PT PERTAMINA MOR IV TO EDUCATE AND INCREASE PUBLIC AWARENESS ON SUBSIDIZED 3KG LPG pt pertamina的无形之手计划旨在教育和提高公众对补贴3kg液化石油气的认识

This study explores the Invisible Hand, a cyber public relations program conducted by the Communication, Relations and Corporate Social Responsibility Unit of PT Pertamina (Persero) MOR IV to educate and to increase public awareness on the provision of subsidized 3Kg LPG in Central Java dan Yogyakarta Special Region. Originally intended for lower income households and micro-small businesses, the subsidized LPG is also enjoyed by higher income households and businesses which result in the scarcity of the LPG. PT Pertamina (Persero) MOR IV held the Invisible Hand program by using other parties’ media to promote their mission. This study applied a qualitative research method by conducting participatory observation, interview and questionnaire for its data collection. It indicated that the Invisible Hand program was implemented through two strategies: social media campaigns and media relations. The social media campaigns were promoted by paid promotion through popular local Instagram accounts in Central Java and Yogyakarta Special Region, and the media relations were executed through focus group discussion (FGD) with local journalists. Positive awareness and responses from the public were proven by positive Instagram engagements. Through the media relations, a common understanding between PT Pertamina (Persero) MOR IV and the journalists was achieved, and the messages to educate the public were well-delivered by the media.

HOW TO BECOME A PRODUCTIVE FAN? THE EXISTENCE OF FAN TALKS AS FANDOM PRODUCTIVITY 如何成为一个高效的粉丝?粉丝谈话作为粉丝生产力的存在

Fans draw sharply the line between what falls within their fandom and what does not. Accumulation and appreciation of knowledge regarding fan’s objects of fandom are important for fan cultural capital. Fiske’s pre-internet model of fan productivity occurs at the interface between industrially-produced cultural commodities and the everyday life of the fan. Fan talk is a circulation mechanism of certain meanings of the object of fandom implying the membership of a particular fan community. BTS is a K-Pop group that uses online exposure with a variety of contents ranging from members personal message to behind-the-scenes footage to create deeper levels of intimacy with their fans. This helps them to advance their careers and create alliances with their fans. This study uses a descriptive qualitative approach to explore BTS fan’s participation in fan talk activities shared within face-to-face communication. The data collection techniques used were in-depth interviews and participant observations of four BTS’s fans (called ARMY). The result shows that fan talk is one way of expressing the existence of fans. Digital media and the internet have allowed BTS' fans to share a wide range of signifiers and meanings from their music quickly and easily. This has created a form of symbolic interaction among fans that can be used to communicate concepts and ideas among one another. This enunciative productivity of fans is also serving a widespread promotional function for non-fans.
