Evaluation of visual induced motion sickness on interactive video using biosignals and body motion 利用生物信号和身体运动评价互动视频中的视动病

Quantitative evaluation method of visual induced motion sickness (VIMS) on interactive video using biosignals index and body-motion indices were experimentally investigated. The results indicate that biosignals from RRI and respiration combined with the peak value and time-shift of cross-correlation between body motion signals and global motion vector might be a useful VIMS index for non-experts on interactive video with special type operation.

Direct detection of sound wave by light 用光直接探测声波

Optical wave microphone is a novel method to measure audio and ultrasonic sounds by a laser beam with no diaphragm. In this method, ultra-weak diffraction light generated by sound is optically Fourier transformed and converted into an electrical signal. In this study, in order to improve the S/N ratio for practical use, the external resonator structure of He-Ne laser is used as a sound sensor and the sound signal amplification property is theoretically and experimentally examined. We succeeded in sound signal amplification by this method.

A Human Behavior Analyzer Framework for consumer product search engines 消费者产品搜索引擎的人类行为分析框架

In today consumer world, product search engines have been played key roles for consumer information seeking and decision making process. However, due to the volume, variety and velocity of information plus the nature of human beings, it becomes very hard to identify what information and how it is used by a consumer. Therefore, in this paper a Human Behavior Analyzer Framework is proposed to gain some relevant insight information for consumers. In doing so, a stochastic approach based on Markov Chain concepts has been employed and some experimental results are presented to confirm the effectiveness of proposed method.

Modeling of elevator control logic based on Mark Flow Graph and its implementation on programmable logic controller 基于Mark Flow图的电梯控制逻辑建模及其在可编程控制器上的实现

Elevator control logic is very complicated, and therefore, it is troublesome to program and implement it correctly on programmable logic controller (PLC). The paper describes the method to model elevator control logic using Mark Flow Graph (MFG), and translate MFG model into PLC programming language Sequential Function Chart (SFC). We show an example of 3-story elevator control using laboratory equipment.

Exploiting contexts with house log for value-added smart TV services 利用家庭日志上下文实现增值智能电视服务

We have been studying log contexts using large-scale house log collected in home network system (HNS). A log context is defined with both the current and past situations of a house, where the current situation is characterized by the current status of an appliance (or a sensor), while the past situations are derived from the house log. In this paper, we propose context-aware services for smart TVs using the log contexts within HNS. We first present three different types of log contexts derived from smart TV. We then discuss value-added services using such log contexts, assuming that a smart TV is integrated with HNS.

Popular music estimation based on topic model using time information and audio features 基于时间信息和音频特征的主题模型流行音乐估计

This paper presents popular music estimation based on a topic model using time information and audio features. The proposed method calculates latent topic distribution using Latent Dirichlet Allocation to obtain more accurate music features. In this approach, we also use release date information of each music as time information for concerning the relationship between music trends and each age. Then, by using the obtained latent topic distribution features, the estimation of the popular music becomes feasible based on a Support Vector Machine classifier. Experimental results show the effectiveness of our method.

Augmented reality product display system on a 360-degree view inside store 增强现实产品展示系统在商店内的360度视图

This research proposes a novel product display system for electronic commerce websites that employs a panoramic photo of the inside of a real store as the background. Using a tablet or smartphone as a controller, the user is able to freely move around the inside of the store while viewing the panoramic photo, similarly to Google Street View. Also, the user can select a product they are interested in and freely view the product from any angle by rotating the tablet or smartphone. Furthermore, that product can be displayed as if it were in the hands of the user by a photo-based augmented reality system (Photo AR), allowing comparison with other objects possessed by the user. In this report, the proposed system was actually implemented using HTML5/JavaScript and the results were evaluated.

Sensitive cushion based on hetero-core fiber optics for unconstraint sitting posture monitoring 基于异芯光纤的无约束坐姿监测敏感垫

Recently, sitting posture monitoring has been focused in the fields of health management in order to improve the quality of Sedentary Lifestyle. We propose an unconstraint sitting posture monitoring method using a sensitive cushion based on hetero-core fiber optics. The hetero-core fiber optic sensor has several advantages for unconstrained human behavior monitoring such as single-mode transmission usage, flexibility and light-weight. Therefore, the hetero-core sensors can be unobtrusively embedded inside the cushion, which enables the sitting posture to be monitored without conscious to the sensor. We designed a bending structure with a hetero-core portion and examined its force properties. We successfully demonstrated that the developed sensitive cushion could detect body moving of a subject on a chair. The proposed method could monitor body moving in the case that the subject sat down on several moving patterns on the chair.

A planar antenna for the long term evolution (LTE) communication module is suggested and examined. A meander pattern is added to the planar antenna, and the return loss characteristic and the radiation patterns in the frequency band of 800MHz are improved. The high values of the absolute gains are obtained in the frequency bands, from 824MHz to 900MHz, from 1447.9MHz to 1879.9MHz, from 1920MHz to 2170MHz. The antenna is commercialized in April 2014.

However, the system cannot distinguish two signals with different frequencies because it learns only the spatial pattern of the sound pressure distribution of the input signals. To overcome this problem, herein we propose a system that learns the temporal-spatial pattern of the input signals. The proposed system successfully obtains a wide-band super-directivity.
