China’s initiative to jointly build the Silk Road Economic Belt has received a positive response in Russia and Mongolia. These countries will jointly build the China-Russia-Mongolia economic corridor. Inner Mongolia borders Russia and Mongolia and is the main part of this project. The article discusses the peculiarities of China’s Inner Mongolia energy construction, which contributes to the further development of energy cooperation between the countries.

The article examines the process of organizing the exploration and development of coal deposits by the company «Heirs of A. I. Gromova» in North-Eastern Siberia. The author found that the transition to coal made it possible to increase the intensity of the company›s cargo transportation by river and sea. It was determined that the extraction of resources from the local deposit contributed to the formation of the transport infrastructure of the macroregion.

This article examines the process of creation and development of mass media in the Evenkia and Taimyr national districts in the first half of the XX century. In the 1930s the foundations of radio broadcasting and periodicals are being laid. This process was complicated by a shortage of equipment and a shortage of employees, but despite this, by the end of the decade, many wall newspapers were published in the districts, numbers of district and regional publications were printed, and the radio network was expanding. Already at this time, a number of newspapers began to publish material in the national languages of the indigenous peoples. During the war years, there was no particular development of the media, however, in the post-war period, due to the improvement in the supply of districts, the development of radio broadcasting took place.

In 1924, the Russian Red Cross society (RRCS) took over the provision of medical assistance to pioneer organizations. For this purpose, the health Service of young pioneers was created. By the end of the 1920s, they were operating in all districts of Eastern Siberia. Pioneer detachments were attached to doctors who worked for free. Doctors were required to monitor the health of teenagers. To strengthen the health of the pioneers, with the help of the red cross, pioneer summer camps, playgrounds and sanatoriums were organized.

For many years, the Russian-Japanese war was considered ingloriously lost in Russian historiography. The world and domestic liberal press, and then the Soviet historical science, tried with all their might to create the impression of a complete defeat of Russia. However, if we conduct a deeper analysis of military events, it becomes obvious that only a year after the start of the war, Japan’s offensive pressure dried up and its emerging economic and military problems came to the fore. Japan did not expect that the enemy would be able to establish an effective and uninterrupted supply of troops: in a short time, instead of a poorly equipped Siberian road, a well-established highway was developed and operated, connecting the center of Russia with the army fighting in the east of the country by a continuous rail route. The Baikal ferry in 1904–1905, being the only link of the Trans-Siberian Railway, determined the capacity of the entire highway. This article highlights some aspects and results of its work during this period.
