In each generation humans will always have different needs. Educational needs that arise in each generation also vary greatly. This study aims to investigate the educational needs of Gen Z by using survey design methods with quantitative data results. Researchers distribute questionnaires using Google forms. The questionnaire is about how Generation Z reflects its needs in education, based on 3 aspects: teacher, educational facilities and social relations. They consist of 15 statements to indicate educational needs. This study involved 200 respondents including generation Z born between 1995--2010. This study reveals the dominant educational needs of Generation Z. As a result, the need for a good and comfortable teacher to discuss dominates, the need for online learning that is not monotonous in class is also in high demand and the need for caring parents is needed by these Z generations.

This paper presents a hybrid approach of analytic hierarchy process (AHP) and desirability function in forms of the zero-one desirability programming model (ZODP). An aim is to select the appropriate multimodal freight transportation networks under various basic requirements of the community. This optimization problem contains incommensurate and conflicting objectives and a decision maker (DM)'s preference information decides a satisfactory compromise desirability level. The AHP method is first used to structure the transportation problem systematically. Hierarchically, the structure starts with the main objective to be achieved, then the criteria needed with consistency weight, and lastly the alternatives which are necessary to fulfill the main objectives. The AHP results are then formulated in the ZODP model, as there are multiple criteria and priorities. After solving the ZODP model with the relative weights integration from the AHP, the proposed model would be highly effective in generating a compromise route that is faithful to the DM's preference structure. Selected alternatives can be implemented by the management due to the allocated resources or all criteria are met and the proposed method allows the DM to adjust any of the preference parameters as well.

The field of research in ontology engineering appears to be mature, considering the vast number of contemporary methods and instruments for the formalization and application of knowledge representation models. However, the evolutionary aspects of ontologies are still little understood and supported. This is especially important in distributed and collaborative settings like the Semantic web, where ontologies naturally co-operate with their user communities. Various organizations and teams are building common ground in this context. Ontology is instrumental in this process through the formal description of shared knowledge. Such semanticity constitutes a sound basis for defining, sharing (business) objectives and interests and eventually developing useful collaborative services and systems. In this "complex" and dynamic environment, a collaborative model for process change requires more powerful methodologies for engineering, argumentation and negotiation. Software Engineering provides teamwork, team management, feedback management, versioning, merging, and evolving software artifacts with a wealth of techniques and tools. Many of these techniques can be used again in an ontology engineering environment. This paper examines how this problem can be resolved using Scrum and Nexus frameworks, which are among the most robust models for software development.

The Semantic Web is an incomplete dream so far, but a revolutionary platform as Blockchain could be the solution to this, not optimal reality. There is still little understanding of, and support for, the evolutionary aspects of ontologies. This is particularly crucial in distributed and collaborative settings such as the Semantic Web, where ontologies naturally co-evolve with their communities of use. In this setting, different organizations and teams collaboratively build a common ground of the domain. In this "complex" and dynamic setting, a collaborative change process model requires more powerful engineering, argumentation and negotiation methodologies. Blockchain offers a robust framework for teams' collaboration and ontology versioning globally between an infinite number of teams. Blockchain is an example of a distributed computing system with high Byzantine fault tolerance. This makes blockchains potentially suitable for the recording of evolution events, ontology records, and other records management activities, such as ontology evolution, transaction processing and ontology documenting provenance. In this paper, after briefly summarizing the significant features of Blockchain, we describe blockchain-empowered solutions for building an evolution model based on blockchain technology and its artifacts.

Visual Impairment is something that most people experience in their day to day life. With the rise of technology, more hardware and software can be studied and created to assist those people with such disability. Visual Impairment can also be referred to as vision impairment or vision loss; Infrared radiation is invisible to human eyes, but people can feel it as heat. With today's technology, it can be used to make it useful and assist us in our daily life. Infrared radiation is a type of electromagnetic radiation and part of the electromagnetic spectrum. Infrared energy or infrared light is not visible to the human eye but if can be seen using special cameras that translate light into visible colors. In fact, our own body radiates far infrared energy through our skin at between 3 and 50 microns. This study developed an application that can help guide the visually impaired using mobile devices and in the same way, making it more accessible to them. The study also aims to find a different approach on how IR sensors can be used. It can also be used in detection and navigational purposes. The developed system named "Sight-Man", has the purpose of applying infrared technology to aid those with visual imparity using mobile phones and an application that runs using Android-based smartphone.

A large number of images are generated and uploaded to the cloud, due to the rapid development of IT and networking technologies. To prevent unauthorized access, image encryption is a way that can ensure the safety of images. However, the encrypted image is noisy, which is not suitable for further management and application. Some scholars have recently proposed the concept of Thumbnail Preserving Encryption (TPE). The encrypted image not only achieves privacy protection, but also preserves the properties of thumbnails. Therefore, when an image is encrypted by TPE, it is possible for the thumbnail image to retain similar appearance after encryption, allowing a quick overview of the encrypted image. In this paper, we propose a new TPE method to resolve the problems that may arise in methods used by cryptography scholars such as Tajik. Experimental results show that our TPE method retained the same thumbnail appearance before and after encryption.

With the current economic situation of the Philippines, participation to full-time classroom education has become challenging, because most of the undergraduate students need to work to support their families or earn funds to continue their studies. To encourage out-of-school youths and adults to finish secondary education, the Philippine Department of Education implemented the Alternative Learning System Accreditation and Equivalency Test (ALS A&E) to evaluate the competencies and readiness of learners to accelerate academic levels. The Alternative Learning Equivalency and Accreditation Program (ALEAP) was offered for out-of-school youth and adults who wish to pursue their studies outside of the traditional full-time classroom-based education. However, the existing program does not offer much for late enrollees and individuals who are not able to consistently go to class. Missed lessons are no longer taught again which make it challenging for learners to cope and catch up. This study focused on developing an online ALEAP system that answers in the shortcomings of traditional classroom set-up of aspiring students who want to pursue higher level or college degrees. The developed systems offers online lessons and review materials that will make ALS A&E takers more chance of passing and have a better future. The developed system were able to pass all functional testing and provided a good user acceptance testing that proves its readiness to deploy to intended users.

To put emphasis on students' scientific literacy and cultivate it has been an essential theme of contemporary education. This study analyzed 9841 middle school students from PISA 2015 China, used scientific interest as a mediator explores the influence of teachers' misbehavior on students' scientific literacy performance. Based on controlling the irrelevant confounding variables at the student level and the school level, and using the multi-level mediation effect model as a method, which can reach conclusions as follows: 1) teachers' misbehavior had no significant direct effect on students' scientific literacy performance; 2) teachers' misbehavior had a significant negative effect on students' scientific interest; 3) students' scientific interest had a significant positive effect on their scientific literacy performance; 4) teachers' misbehavior had an indirect negative effect on students' scientific literacy performance through the mediation effect of scientific interest. This mediating effect was a completely multi-level mediation. Therefore, schools should boost the quality of teachers, strengthen the construction of teacher ethics, improve the standards of teacher education, and establish a more comprehensive teacher management system to reduce the occurrence of teachers' misbehavior. Teachers should pay more attention to cultivate students' scientific interest during the educational process to promote the development of students' scientific literacy.

This study purports to explore the preferences and views of EFL teachers on the use of apps and websites for accessing extensive listening materials and social media platforms for facilitating interaction outside the class. In total 21 EFL teachers from three countries responded to a Google-form questionnaire sent via Facebook and WhatsApp. Three Indonesian EFL teachers were also interviewed on a one-to-one basis. Despite their varied preferences, YouTube was mostly favored by EFL teachers as a resource for accessing EL materials. Meanwhile, WhatsApp and Instagram were seen to be the two most preferred social media platforms. Findings suggest that, in using recent technology for extensive listening practice, there are three pivotal aspects that deserve special attention: its availability, accessibility, and practicality. Teachers could cultivate the various uses of technology platforms to know whether and how far it can benefit students in their EL practice.
