Robust interval observer with uncertainties in the output 输出具有不确定性的鲁棒区间观测器

This paper is about state estimation for uncertain continuous-time systems. We introduce a method for designing interval observers that ensures guaranteed bounds on the estimated state. This methodology is provided for the design and characterization of tight robust interval observes with proposed conditions expressed in terms of Linear Programming.

Support Vector Regression for soft sensor design of nonlinear processes 支持向量回归在非线性过程软测量设计中的应用

The field of soft sensor development has gained significant importance in the recent past with the development of efficient and easily employable computational tools for this purpose. The basic idea is to convert the information contained in the input-output data collected from the process into a mathematical model. Such a mathematical model can be used as a cost efficient substitute for hardware sensors. The Support Vector Regression (SVR) tool is one such computational tool that has recently received much attention in the system identification literature, especially because of its successes in building nonlinear blackbox models. In this work we demonstrate the application of SVR as an efficient and easy-to-use tool for developing soft sensors for nonlinear processes. In an industrial case study, we illustrate the development of a steady state Melt Index soft sensor for an industrial scale Ethylene Vinyl Acetate (EVA) polymer extrusion process using SVR. The SVR based soft sensor, valid over a wide range of melt indices, outperformed the existing nonlinear least squares based soft sensor in terms of lower prediction errors. Through a second case study, we demonstrate the application of SVR for developing soft sensors in the form of dynamic models for a laboratory scale twin screw polymer extrusion process.

This paper presents the asymptotical stabilization problem of linear singular fractional-order systems. Feedforward compensation of exercise in diabetes 糖尿病运动的前馈补偿

A nonlinear feedforward action based on the detection of exercise intensity is designed to prevent drastic blood glucose drops that may lead a diabetic patient to hypoglycemia. A physiological model is derived from the Bergman and the Sorensen models and the metabolic effects of physical activity. A statistical model for blood glucose rate is obtained through a discrete Wiener modeling technique. The statistical model is inverted for the calculation of an exogenous glucagon input that can cancel the blood glucose drop caused by exercise. Simulations show that the proposed feedforward control system satisfies the objective. Algorithm improvements as well as implementation with current commercial products are discussed.

Experimental validation of a sliding mode controller for permanent-magnet synchronous motors 永磁同步电机滑模控制器的实验验证

This paper focusses on the experimental testing of a sliding mode controller designed for a Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motor (PMSM). A cascade control scheme is proposed which provides accurate speed and position tracking performance. The controller is experimentally tested on a commercial PMSM drive. Reported experimental evidence shows that the proposed controller produces good speed and position trajectory tracking performance and is robust in the presence of disturbances affecting the system.

Robust H∞ fault diagnosis for multi-model descriptor systems: A multi-objective approach 多模型广义系统鲁棒H∞故障诊断:一种多目标方法

A large class of engineering systems are modeled by coupled Differential and algebraic Equations (DAEs), called also singular or descriptor systems. Due to the singular nature of the algebraic equations, descriptor systems do not satisfy the standard state-space description and require special techniques. So far, the literature has concentrated mostly on the numerical analysis and control aspects of descriptor or DAEs systems. This paper investigates the problem of faults detection in nonlinear DAE systems described by a multi-model with the design of an Unknown Input Observer. The stability and robustness properties of the fault diagnosis scheme are investigated in term of LMIs. A simulation example illustrating the ability of the proposed fault diagnosis architecture to detect multiple faults is presented.

A maximum power point control photovoltaic system 一种最大功率点控制光伏系统

A maximum power point tracking control (MPPT) is used for a photovoltaic (PV) system in order to maximize the output power irrespective of the temperature and irradiation conditions and of the load electrical characteristics. In this paper, we consider a photovoltaic panel supplying a battery. For maximizing its output power, we have used a boost DC/DC converter controlled by a PI regulator. The synthesis of this regulator parameters has been achieved by using Bode method. For having a transfer function of the system, we have used a small signal modeling. Theoretical and simulated results are presented. Experimental results are conclusive.

Model-based nonlinear filtering for Activated Sludge Process 基于模型的活性污泥过程非线性滤波

The paper address the design of new nonlinear filtering algorithm for the estimation of the non-measurable states in wastewater treatment plants (WWTPs). Two approaches are considered based on the state-dependent formulation and the H-infinity control design technique. It differs from other well-known methods for state estimation, because not only nonlinear, but also the robustness and the load estimation are considered. The filter is designed and implemented on a benchmark model of an Activated Sludge Process (ASP). The different nonlinear filters presented have been tested using the benchmark's data of different weather conditions, i.e. dry, rainy and storm, showing good agreement in all the estimated states. The simulation study presents a comparison of the Extended Kalman Filter (EKF), the state-dependent Riccati filter (SDRF), the extended H-infinity filter (EHF) and finally the new proposed state-dependent H-infinity filter (SDHF).

A ReO is an adaptive observer consisting of an integrator and a reset law that resets the output of the integrator depending on a predefined condition. The main contribution of this paper is the application of the reset element theory to the adaptive observer LTI framework. The introduction of the reset element in the adaptive laws can decrease the overshooting and settling time of the estimation process without sacrificing the rising time. The stability and convergence LMI-based analysis of the proposed ReO is also addressed. Additionally, an easily computable method to determine the ℒ2 gain of the ReO dealing with noise-corrupted systems is presented. A simulation example shows the potential benefit of the proposed reset adaptive observer.
